I hired Blue Balance of Texas to replace my pool heater and was told it would be a one-day job. It…read moreended up taking almost a month and I still had to hire someone else to fix what he broke. The heater didn't work after the install, so Ryan scheduled a warranty call with Pentair. That took several days to get set up. Then, the morning of the appointment, he came back out and realized he had installed it incorrectly. There was nothing wrong with the heater, so the Pentair appointment was cancelled. They also created two leaks at joints they had worked on. Ryan came back out to fix those and broke my Jandy valve in the process. He told me the (very common) valves were sold out at the supply store and it would be another few days, a claim which I found hard to believe and was most likely due to scheduling other projects around mine. When he finally replaced it, he used a cheap off-brand valve, and that repair left me with yet another leak. Keep in mind, my pool pump has been off this entire time. At that point, he wanted me to pay extra to fix the third and newest leak he created because the job was no longer "cost effective" for him. That's when I had enough and told him we were done. He was rude & unapologetic and told me I couldn't afford to do it right, when he had been in charge of the scope of work and providing a repair cost from the beginning. Instead of owning his mistakes and trying to make it right as a business owner, he resorted to insults and blaming me for his own incompetence. Meanwhile, through all of this, he was trying to sell me on a $20k+ pool remodel while struggling to get a basic heater replacement finished correctly. I would not use them again for any project, no matter how small.

He provided excellent service at the best rate we found, and the quality of the work exceeded our expectations. We really appreciated his honesty, knowledge, and willingness to answer all of our questions.

We've been really happy with Confiance--much more so than other pool service providers. Very…read morereliable and responsive. Some things that set them apart from our previous pool service people: - They send photos of every service they do- special or routine.. - no surprises. Previous service providers seemed to regularly bring up problems & part replacement needs, to the point of being suspicious. This hasn't happened once with Confiance. Everything has gone smoothly and the equipment is running great - they go above and beyond. I mentioned having a pool robot with a bad cable and was having trouble replacing it. They sent someone over same day who replaced the cable in no time & no charge, and also walked me through fixing a WiFi device that controls the pool filter. - always responsive with questions- for example how to protect filter during the deep freeze- which also went well

Hired them because Bob does know his stuff, but it was all downhill after the original consult…read more Working with them has been an utter disaster and waste of some 55k. In a mere 6 months AFTER the pool renovation was completed, the pavers gapped, not once but twice. They came out and fixed them, even doing soil injections a second time only for the exact same problem to return. The concrete beam or whatever its called under the coping is cracking and falling apart in two places. I've got several seams of grout in the coping tile that has completely separated b/c their sub contractor did a horrible job with cuts and used grout in almost 1.5inch seams which is absurd. They keep saying they are going to come out, but weeks pass without a single person showing up. Its now been months and I'm exploring my legal options, even if it just means taking them to small claims court. These guys are a construction defect nightmare who use a bunch of cheap mexican labor that doesn't speak english. DO NOT HIRE THEM. Update: They still haven't fixed the horrendous grout work yet they've been telling me for months someone will come out to fix it. Look at the grout size....this is the quality of work everyone. You think this is acceptable? Then they send out some loser who barely speaks english and he does a hand cut on a tile so it looks jagged like a bottle cap. He puts a bunch of sand in without truly fixing the gaps and calls it a day in an hour. The owner of the company, Bob, emails me to say it's all fixed. This company is a blatant joke. I should sue them just to make their life hell since they have made mine hell. Blue Escapes is just one giant construction defect claim waiting to happen. The worst contractor experience I've ever had and I've done full remodels on several properties before. If you hire them, be ready to spend a lot of money for the worst possible workmanship you've seen. You've been warned. Update 2: They sent out another band of incompetent illegals that don't speak english to try and fix the deck, but the joke continues. None of the pavers are level. None of the separation gaps were fixed, and the underlying issues still not addressed. Their incompetence is exhausting. I have officially filed a complaint with the BBB. I will no longer allow them to "repair" anything. I've asked for a 10k refund so I can hire another company to fix the pavers, the coping, and the bond beam which is crumbling. I've also hired an attorney on retention and I'm ready to go to war at this point. This business should not be in business. Of all my years remodeling properties, I've never dealt with this level of stupidity, poor management, and pure incompetence. It would be funny if it wasn't my property. But here we are and I'm beyond livid to the point that I will pour money into the legal side to crush this company. That's how pissed off they have made me and I've given them several opportunities to make things right. They will be lucky to be in business after I'm done with them.

Juan offered all these little add-ons yet didn't know how they would accomplish them or didn't understand the ask. When asked about the add ons, he acted like he didn't understand the ask. (Then why did you price me for it?) They mis-measured the pool and didn't come back for weeks to get a better measurement, which delayed the fabrication and installation.
