Looks like the bond was either not applied correctly, didn't get time to dry before the next layer was added or just poorly applied. I am not a pool professional, but I can now see the layers on the chunks of plaster off the bottom of my pool. I was unimpressed after about 6 months after the work was first completed. Trying to get a response after money was paid was impossible. May be good for pool cleaning, but I would NEVER invest in having them do another major pool job.

Barely got through one year of a very expensive resurface high end product and gray dots started popping up here and there... at year 2, they've made it all the way to the spa. I've tried talking to Mike / Justin about it and he's so all over the board. So said he no longer uses the team who resurfaced our pool ... he sent out a guy who said he could dump chemicals in and it would take it all up , but he couldn't guarantee it. $900 dollars for a gamble is way out of my comfort zone. Have tried communicating with Mike / Justin but omg he's so not on this planet. I hope he's well it was so obvious he couldn't concentrate and had heavy trouble keeping track with a conversation. That being said, I can not recommend this company . Great on the front end, but nothing on follow up. Only up sales and odd customer service. We'll have to resurface our pool to clean out their poor workmanship and drop another huge expensive amount of money to fix this mess. I have read in my research that the product used was not applied correctly and not allowed to dry correctly. When shared with Mike / Justin it's like deer in headlights and again nothing they can do because it's not their problem. Shocking.

I have had a very poor experience with Steve and Luxe Lagoon so far (we're still in the middle of…read moreit!). We were promised our job would "take 2, at most 3 weeks", but we're going into week 10 with no end in sight. Our pool and backyard were completely trashed for 7+ weeks. Every week we'd hear "we'll be there tomorrow", and every week there was a new excuse why he couldn't be here. Stevie admitted that our project wasn't his priority. He asked for 75% of the money upfront and in good faith, we paid him (our mistake). I asked for my money back, but Stevie has refused. At this point, I'll dispute charges with my credit card company to try to recoup some of the lost money. We've tried to give Stevie the benefit of the doubt for weeks, but we have simply run out of patience. I'll update this post if there's any remediation/progress.

I had my first pool built in Wylie and the process went well. There was an issue with decorative glass tiles being forgotten on the steps but this was corrected after the pool was built and filled. They also damaged my fence but paid to have it repaired. So that experience was good 4+ stars. My second pool was built in Farmers Branch and it's like a whole different experience. My pool has had leaks like crazy. I do have a lifetime warranty on the shell so each time I request a leak check they send someone but they do tell me that if no leak is detected then I will have to pay for the service. Well each time there has been a leak. My skimmers leaked, as did my main drain. Well the skimmer box was fixed and the main drain was "fixed" but in the process they cross treaded the screws that hold the main drain cover in place. So I keep texting their service company and they say they will send someone out (usually no one shows) this has been going on for close to a year. The main drain leak was detected the middle of 2023 and the cover hasn't been fixed since then. In addition my spa grout needed to be replaced after just 2 years this wasn't covered under the shell warranty but the guy who did replace it said it looked like it was very thin (too much water) when it was done so it just dissolved over time. All of my LED pool lights went out and had to be replaced this past year- so they lasted 4 years not sure if that is good or not. But it wasn't cheap to replace them. Overall this experience with this pool has been nothing short of horrible and while I felt I got great service the first time around this time I can't get anyone to fix or follow up on issues. Very disappointing, I had recommend and suggested Hobert to many of my coworkers, friends and neighbors but from now on I will not. Update 6/28/24 They sent someone out and so far (2 weeks of using the robot cleaner but no one has gone swimming yet) the cover has remained on.

We were given a timeline of a month or two on completing our pool on December 2021. That included…read morecoping, tile and plaster. Tile was pre-paid, coping was selected and contract was signed. There were some issues with setting and managing expectations up front but in the end, we are happy with the final product. It is 4/28/22 and pool coping, tile and plaster are complete. We had a 4 month wait and it took 1 month to get the job done. There were a few unexpected expenses during the project but that is to be expected for a project like this. By the time the project was complete we ended up paying roughly 20% more than the quoted amount. Also, we had to choose different coping as the one we originally chose was no longer available due to supply chain issues. There are a lot of shortages going on right now. Workers and supplies. This is not a fault of Blue Escapes, these are just the times now and unfortunately, we along with Blue Escapes were caught in it. This along with price hikes on everything (plaster, tile, etc.) which we weren't charged extra for. Blue Escapes uses quality workers. Watching them lay the tile and take their time with each tile they laid just solidified why it takes a while to complete these remodels. The owner is an honest man who is a wealth of knowledge. Bob (the owner) came out to ensure each step was completed to his satisfaction.

The did a beautiful job, replacing the coping with travertine, replacing the mini-tile with beautiful tiles that were even standard price, micro-pebble surface, and added autofill, overflow valve, railing and wifi system. Last minute we asked them to also move the pool pump and they brought in a larger team to get that done at the same time! My only negative is 2 minor issues. 1) they didn't notice or check until the resurface was pretty much done that the decorative tile I had picked out and paid for to install on the steps was too big for the shape of the step. So now I don't have it because it was already too late to find something else. 2) The evening before they were going to resurface, I noticed the team had neglected to install the autofill. I called they thanked me for catching it, and had someone come back and install it before the resurfacing was started. So just check periodically, but otherwise they were 99% awesome! I would definitely recommend them.

The work was done in half the time other companies promised despite some weather challenges. They don't contract the work out so I felt comfortable with the team. They also didn't charge an upgrade fee for the higher quality products I wanted. I wanted the upgraded plaster called Stonescapes Small Puerto Rico Blend in Tropics Blue. The results surpassed my expectations.
