Residential park only for resident living in the area. What a gem. This place is absolutely beautiful, clean and full of scenery. Came here last weekend. Lucky enough to catch some fall Foliage. Small playground right by the beach. Clean sand. Super relaxing place to hang out and just to look out to the water. Walking trails throughout the entire park. There's a gazebo, stage and a beautiful picturesque lookout place to the water by the stonewall. It's just gorgeous. Pictures do not do justice.

Morgan park is one of my absolute favorite parks , I was in awe the first time I stepped foot there . It's a huge park , very clean , has a few bathrooms , one huge parking lot but it's only for the residents of glen cove and locust valley , I don't know how strict they are about that but I do know they aren't that strict about the no dogs rule since I bring my dog everyday lol , it's just too beautiful of a walk to not let my pup enjoy it with us . There is a playground on the sand right by the water for the kids and to the right there is a trail to walk with unbelievable views , people like to go fishing here I've noticed . Also great spot for a photo shoot .

    Great views.

Good: -Beautiful views -Tons of places to gaze -There's a stand for food, drink, and candy Bad: -Need to be a Glen Cove resident to park -Not a ton of seating, if you're staying there bring chairs

The Lifeguards game of bouncing big ROCKS off a foam surfboard into a bucket on the sand.

Today the water was closed . You could however use the beach. The lifeguards set up a game of bouncing rocks off of a foam board into a plastic bucket. Laying on the sand it sounded like someone was banging loudly with a hammer. I wasn't that far from them and was the only one there. I was relaxing listening to the water when this repetitive banging started. As this game was not ending I packed up and left. On my way out I said, "You guys must be really bored, the girl and boy both stared at me. I went onto saying, "you're probably not aware of this but that sounds really loud especially when your laying In The sand." The boy mumbled something, I had to ask him what he said, in a tone that was very unapologetic and very snotty he replied, "I'm sorry." The girl continued to coldly stare at me. I've never been a lifeguard before but I'm pretty sure this isn't part of their job. And I'm pretty sure Throwing and bouncing big rocks isn't safe either. Just thought I'd put this out there because I am a bit stunned by this whole insane situation.

Wow! This is a beautiful park. The signs say it is exclusively for the residents of Glen Cove. If you are to visit the park, I recommend waking down to the beach and waking down the path with the rock wall. Beautiful!

SO BEAUTIFUL! Did a wedding shoot here yesterday & felt like we were in Scotland. Gorgeous greenery & scenic views. The perfect place! Very exclusive, residents only...hidden gem for sure!

    Picnic time!

Nice place for a walk, run, picnic, bbq, beach....all of the above! In the summer they have a small stage for a concert series. (Usually on Sundays) You can bring lawn chairs or a blanket and enjoy the show! beautiful place to see the sunset on the north shore. Bring a date, bring your dog, come by yourself and cruise around....you will enjoy it.

How have I never been to this preserve?! What a freaking cool place…read more Pro tip: the abandoned buildings are stupid easy to find, don't be like me and wander for a good hour/hour and a half wondering where they are. As you may be aware of, the preserve is home to the Holocaust museum for the county (which I plan on visiting sometime soon). If you find parking on the left side of the building (the side with the butterfly garden) you will find the abandoned building on the right side of the museum, as if you venture down to the water. There's a few buildings to see and the history behind them is pretty cool. Next time I will have to bring my Canon to take some nicer shots. Wear good gripping shoes as it can be muddy and you'll slip and side a bit. There are signs for no dogs but plenty of people brought their Fido's and Fifi's.

We really enjoyed it. We started by the mansion. It's suppose to be a museum but it' is closed due to COVID. There is a garden which is very beautiful and the placards around the garden tells you about why the garden is there. It is dedicated to the children of Holocaust. There is lots of woods with many different paths to walk. They set it up nicely with small bridges over a stream with rocks. The path we took led us to the ocean. There is a beach in one side and the LI sound on the other. We walked for almost an hour and it was very enjoyable. We didn't get to see the abandoned buildings with graffiti on them because of the timing . However we will be coming back possibly earlier to be able to see more. Definitely worth the trip. There is free parking.

There was beauty and tranquility with every step on our stroll. We spoke with the lovely Mary S Garden and she inspired us to complete our garden at home. Mary was so knowledgeable and friendly and not only answered all our questions but gave great advice on horticulture, composting, and much more. All the staff were friendly! Take your time to stroll and look at all the beauty surrounding you at every turn. Leave your worries in the garden. I would suggest coming closer by opening time or you have to wait for a car to leave - There is 2 porter potties near the entrance - It's quite a small space - takes about 15-30min max to leisurely walk around This Japanese Stroll Garden is located in Mill Neck. It's quite a small area of land compared to the parks/preserves in the area, but while you are within the bounds of this garden, it feels quite peaceful/zen. It is designed to mimic that of Japanese Garden. The details of the wooden cross bridge, abundant bamboo trees, stone lanterns/water basins, the pond and the Japanese tea house located in the middle all make you almost forget that you are in NY and feel like you are transported to Japan for a moment. It's a really nice escape while taking in the sights & having a casual stroll. Although I do suggest a visit once, I don't think it's worth the trek coming all the way here just for this (just because it only takes 30min max). It's a great detour while having other things on the agenda to do around the area.
