Chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich

Morel has been on my list for ages!! But it's always felt like a special occasion restaurant so I waited til some friends visited so I had a reason to make a reservation and go! Ambiance is a slightly upscale rustic charm with all wooden vibes inside. For apps we got: - morel mushroom fricassee (10/10): if you get one app, get THIS!! So flavorful, it's got morels, come on - lamb carpaccio (5/10): I loooove a good carpaccio AND lamb, don't think I've ever seen this dish before. Unfortunately, didn't have a ton of flavor and I had high expectations - beet salad (7/10): good solid salad to balance out some heavier dishes Mains- overall definitely recommend all of them, 8/10 all around, I'm only not giving 10/10 for any because none were so amazing I have to order it again but definitely memorable: - short rib: tender, not too heavy - smoked lamb ragout: amazing tender lamb pieces, sauce delicious - walleye: verrrry tender fish, cooked well - duck breast: maybe least favorite of the 4 but still very solid Dessert: I'm not a dessert person and I also don't like chocolate but apparently these were good Chocolate terrine and chocolate chip cookie (ice cream sandwich) Also not as pricey as I expected, would definitely come again!!

    Perfection, pork-style.

Date of visit: March 28, 2026 This was the first stop on a birthday tour and it really set the tone for a wonderful evening. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, from Ralph at the host stand to our amazing server, Emily. We started with the bread service because, well, bread. And since it was very good bread, by the time we were done, it was time to try the honey ham biscuit, which was easily the single tastiest item we tried all night. The biscuit should be served in the bread service, or maybe a small basket of them with honey, butter, and jam? We split two of these across the three of us but could have easily done the same with three to five, truth be told. I honestly am struggling to think of a more fun and delicious meal, I only wish we had made this the main event on our itinerary instead of just the appetizer!

Been here about 3 times for after work gathering. Really wonderful seasonal dishes, great wine choices and always warm services. Cozy and relaxing lobby. Always have some interesting unique dishes for me. One of my favorites is the beef cheek. Lamb is really good time. We always have a cheek plate which is excellent. Really nothing to complain about but a bit on the pricey side.

To say Morel wasn't anything but amazing would be a truly 'spore-ious' accusation! (sorry for that ... I'm a groan man). Lucky to slip in Wednesday night to a quiet, warm, easy space that is humble yet confidant in what it is, happy to welcome you, and fixed on making sure your evening is wonderful. My meal was a real win: the tortellini appetizer in a light broth was wonderful (though perhaps the tortellini had gotten slightly dry in places waiting to be plated) and then how can walleye not hit the spot. I finished with the cheesecake which was so incredibly light it didn't seem like cheese cake (but I ate it so fast I didn't even get a picture). You'll be happy with Morel. Perhaps you'll even meet the host who greeted me ... he was a fungi.

Morel has been on my must try list for awhile and I'm so glad I was able to get there this trip. The pork shoulder was excellent, literally melted in your mouth it was so tender. The portion is also fairly large. Definitely try the spritz (the strawberry rhubarb makes it taste like summer in a glass)!

MOREL. Oh my GOD. Where have you been my whole life? I don't know what about it... the atmosphere, the service, the food, the cocktails. LAWWWD. This one is now on my top 5 in MKE. Settled right next to Shakers Cigar Bar. Morel serves new-american cuisine & unique cocktails in this chic, cozy spot. The service was pristine. They accommodated our toddler by letting her play in the courtyard and providing patience. They checked on us just the right amount of times, brought food in a timely manner, and provided knowledgeable menu recommendations. Their speciality cocktail was based around cranberries, gin, and sour beer. Delicious and beautiful. Our table decided to do a bunch of tapas and one entree to share for the table, I recommend this if you can. This allowed us to have such an array of flavors. Their small plate specials utilized a local cheese (Rush Creek Reserve) sold only around this time of year from Uphill Cheese, so obviously we had to get them. First, the cheese was utilized into the most tasty truffle fettuccini. That umami flavor came out in this dish so well. Second, the cheese was utilized on a charcuterie board with cranberry, honey, walnuts, apples, and grilled bread. The cheese was SO creamy and paired well with the other items. Next, the pork belly, which was phenomenal. I usually don't like pork belly, but this melted in my mouth. We also enjoyed the chanterelle mushroom fricassee. Very mushroom forward, which we loved. Also, the herbed flat bread with the burrata was light and surprisingly refreshing! Lastly, we tried the pork shoulder entree. The mustard pork jus tied this dish together and was mouth watering. Y'all know you got a good place when they utilize sauces to accelerate a dish to the next level. 1000000/10 y'all. Go.

Our selection of food/drinks: Appetizers - Lamb Carpaccio - Corn Soup Mains - Rainbow Trout - Smoked Venison Ragout Drinks - Blind Skeleton - Fresa Picante (Non-alcoholic cocktail) Verdict: Morel is absolutely fantastic! My wife picked out this location for our date night as she is big on going to places with farm-to-table type dining. We went on a Saturday evening and while we were still able to get bar seating as a walk-in, I would highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time to make sure you get a seat if you have a larger group than 2. The staff is very hospitable and welcoming. They seem very passionate about what they do and though have been there for awhile, seem as excited for us to try their dishes as we were excited to try them for the first time. While everything was excellent, if I had to pick, the standouts for me were the lamb carpaccio, smoked venison ragout, and fresa picante. The lamb carpaccio is just an incredible mix of different ingredients that all worked perfectly together in every bite. Looking at the description, I half expected it to be a bit salty but it was not like that at all. The dish was very well balanced. The smoked venison ragout struck me because it was a more unique experience in that I don't eat venison much nor have I had pappardelle pasta. Usually, I'm all about the meat but surprisingly with this dish, I felt like the amount of meat was adequate but I was left wanting more pasta! I'm not sure how to describe it but the freshness and deliciousness of the pasta just made me miss it more than the venison when we were done with the dish. While I enjoy the occasional alcoholic beverage, ever since I dined at Atelier in Chicago and had their incredible non-alcoholic drink pairing, I've been actively looking for unique or good tasting mocktail-like drinks. Morel's Fresa Picante matches exactly that for me. I loved the spicy kick aftertaste (disclaimer: I also love spicy foods) while still retaining the quality of being a refreshing drink. While I've had drinks that were similar in taste profile before, something about Morel's version is elevated by comparison (maybe something about the way they make their syrups?) Great experience all around! We will definitely be back next time we're in Milwaukee!

Morel is one of our favorite date night resturaunts in the Milwaukee area. The service is always amazing, the food is mouthwatering, and the drinks are refreshing. Last night we enjoyed dinner on the patio. I love that the menu differs slightly, based off of what is fresh and available to the chefs. If you go during the summer, you have to get the pork belly starter! We made the mistake of trying before getting a picture, and then we couldn't stop eating it. The cheese and meat board offers such a great variety of flavors and easily can be shared by 3-4 people. The Ragout is one of my absolute favorite dishes! The pheasant breast is a 10/10! We finished the night with a bottle of wine that our server recommended and the goat cheese cheesecake. We have never had a bad flavor of their cheesecake. Please go to Morel and enjoy one of the best meals you'll have in Milwaukee.

This might be my new favorite restaurant in Milwaukee! We went to celebrate our birthdays and everything about this restaurant was perfect. They have such a fun drink menu and so many fun cocktails and a great wine and beer selection. For apps, we ordered the herbed flatbread, lamb carpaccio and pork belly. Each was amazing and the herbed flatbread is a must order. The bread is made to order and the buratta with the topping was amazing. For entrees, we ordered the lamb ragout and pork shoulder. The pasta was so fresh and the pork shoulder was so tender and melted on your mouth. The menu changes slightly based on what's in season / what they're able to get fresh that day so I loved that it's constantly evolving. They have a great meat selection and everything we ordered was so fresh. Definitely make a reservation because it can get busy. Our waiter was so helpful and helped us celebrate the evening. Fun atmosphere inside and we'll definitely be back. Highly recommend if you're celebrating an occasion or looking for farm to table dining in Milwaukee!

Wow wow wow! A full farm to table restaurant with such fresh ingredients. Each dish was so well thought out with such unique combinations. It was so hard to decide what to eat when I wanted everything! The lamb carpaccio was a hit we got 2 for 4 people. All the cocktails we tried were delicious as well. The waiter knew a lot about the restaurant, menu, history of the location, and food. It was a great dinner experience ! Sitting outside in the summer is so nice but the inside was cool as well with a very open concept. I definitely want to come back!

    Danielle R.

This is such a quaint restaurant with a wonderful atmosphere. The plates were unique and the ingredients felt fresh and thoughtful. I can't wait to go back and try more of their dishes!

I love love love Morel! Everything we have ordered so far exceeded my expectations. Be ready for a warm, cozy and inviting atmosphere. The menu at Morel is changing seasonally and offering a wide range of delicious options! One of my favorite appetizers was the hot ham and biscuit with honey! So delicious! I've also tried the Rabbit Ragout, which has Pappardeile, Woodear Mushroom, Chili, Sarvecchio. Amazing! My husband loved the Pork Shoulder, Linguica, Corn, Poblano, Potato, Bacon, Salsa Verde, Cojita. Honestly, I don't think you could go wrong with anything on the menu! The service provided by the knowledgeable and friendly staff was outstanding, and provides a memorable dining experience. Morel is truly a hidden gem in Milwaukee, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an unforgettable dining experience.

Then we ordered the Chili Crisp Deviled Eggs (comes with two pieces), Crispy Thai-Style Oyster Mushrooms, Cappelletti, Slow-braised Bison Cheek, Cha Ca La Vong (Catfish), and the Wood-fired Bavette Steak. Where do I begin? First off, everything was fantastic! Delicious, creative, and memorable. Some dishes even had us ordering seconds! First the Chili Crisp Deviled Eggs: so creamy! We ended up ordering another plate of them (four orders) because one wasn't enough for the four of us. The Crispy Thai-Style Oyster Mushroom: insanely seasoned! It was crispy and the kick of the Thai chili peppers, made it our tables favorite (we ordered another plate of this)! The bits of crunch rice mixed in was also a pleasant surprise. The bits of green beans and cucumber was a nice way to cool the kick of the spices. The Slow-braised Bison Cheek: It was very interesting. Very soft and when paired with the polenta cake, mozzarella, and carrot, it tasted amazing. Cha Ca La Vong (Catfish): Also very interesting. It tastes very similar to a Vietnamese catfish soup! The pineapple fish sauce paired amazing with the glass noodles. The only complaint I have about this dish, was that the glass noodles weren't fully cooked, so they were a bit hard. The Wood-fired Bavette Steak: My god, this was amazing! It was perfectly cooked, the dark chocolate bordelaise paired with the mushrooms and steak was incredible. Like I said, everything was amazing! Our table was blown away with the creativity and quality of the food. The service was amazing, everyone was very sweet and helpful. The atmosphere was lovely and quirky. It was fun spotting all the duck decorations. Honestly, cannot rave enough about this place, I look forward to the next time I visit!

From the dinner menu, I had the Kale Cashew Caesar, Lobster Pot Pie, and the Ora King Salmon. To my surprise, the star of the show was the Kale Cashew Caesar, which staff recommended. What made this dish so special was the generous mound of shaved Gran Moravia piled on top, complemented by lemon breadcrumbs. The combination and texture was so fun to eat. The Lobster Pot Pie is offered at market price ($55 when I went). They give you generous chunks of butter-poached lobster tails, seasonal vegetables, lobster cream in their truffle puff pastry. The Ora King Salmon was also delicious. Salmon was cooked perfectly--light and moist. I enjoyed the black garlic gnocchi and the apple gastrique that came with this dish. I ended the night with their chai banana caramel creme brulee. I'll definitely be back for their happy hour and that Kale Cashew Caesar!

A great experience at Third Coast Provisions for their two buck shuck Tuesday. I have been dying to…read moretry this place for so long and happy I finally got to! Can't beat the Tuesday $2 oysters, with a good selection of 3 to choose from. Delicious happy hour cocktails as well - the bartender was very sweet, and I was able to swap out the dirty gin with a dirty vodka but still have the happy hour special. The oysters and shrimp were so fresh. My friends got the $6 happy hour burger and MY GOODNESS was it huge, I couldn't believe that was only $6 for everything that came on it - onion rings and doused in sauce. Quiet, small area with cozy music.
