We have been working with MoreHands since before Covid. There have been various teams that come and go... The two teams that have been cleaning our home lately appear to do best. I was asked to rate the service I received this week and I would gladly do it! Overall MoreHands maid service has been a good service for us for years (although we took a break for a little while during Covid). I like the people at the office as they are polite and accomodating and because I can communicate with them very well. We have had other providers that would clean much better, but could not keep a consistent schedule. MoreHands has been able to provide service more consistently once per week for a little while now. The issue with them is that they like to move the start times around. Another issue is that they will not do ANY laundry. There have been two teams that have been coming to our home, and I like them both... They have both been doing very well: Team 3 (Claudia and Glenda) have consistently done a great job, and are very cordial and pleasant while they are performing their duties! They also go the extra mile. Keep up the great work! Team 2 (Stephanie and Julie) do what is asked of them. I like the way they make our beds. They work quick. read more

Worst cleaning company in Katy!! We had them come probably once a month. They would come and " clean" The house in about 45 min and leave as quick as they could leaving dust dirty floors barley cleaned mirrors etc.... the list goes on and on. We really never complained because we pretty much try and keep the home as clean as possible ourselves. But the reason for this review is because we recently moved. Had more hands do what they call a move out clean. Which don't ever let them con you into this. They sent 2 employees that basically did absolutely nothing for 5 hours to a completely empty home. And charged us around $450 to mop a floor. Biggest scam ever.!!!!!! Do not recommend this company at all. If there was an option for negative stars I would have given them negative 5 read more

Very happy with MoreHands Maid Service. Worked with David over the course of a couple months to identify the correct team and procedures to clean our house. We're very particular in regards to certain things, eg. no shoes in the house, steam mopped tile, etc. David was very patient in working with us to make us happy with our cleaning service. Will continue to use them, being able to email and re-schedule is great. read more

All the ladies are very nice & sweet but their prices are not reasonable. They had given me a estimate the day before coming and did everything the wrong way round making me pay them an extra hour cleaning which was not needed. I wont ever use them again defeats the purpose of a service when you have to follow them around the house? I found a much more reasonable lady who gives fixes prices and stands to her word. read more

Overpriced. I'm 99% certain they stole my wedding ring. When I confronted David he opted to have the cleaners come back to my house to talk to me about it ... didn't realize i had to pay another $200+ for a clean .. They only other people in my house besides the cleaners was my Mom. They stole my fucking ring. read more

I hired these guys a few months ago when we were moving out of our apartment and into a new house. I called and spoke to david and was very specific about asking if they were going to take the trash out as there was a lot of things to be discarded (which is pretty normal after most moving outs) That was the only service that i was interested in, but David told me they also had a "move out special" which, even though the apartment was kept by us neat and clean, i agreed too, because it also included taking the trash out. I dont think i could have been any more specific about that. They agreed to a time a date and i was there the whole time. The two ladies piled the trash on the front hall and finished cleaning the apartment. They told me they were done and i asked them if they were taking the trash with them and they just started blankly at me and called David. David told me that "yeah, we usually do, but we didnt know it was going to be THAT many" and "we're not junk r us" in a very condescending manner and told me they weren't going to do that. So i ended up paying around $200 for a service that i did not get, and did not want in the first place. Davids attitude during the phone call was very abrasive and made me feel like i was being a pest for wanting the service that i SPECIFICALLY ASK ABOUT during my first phone call with this company. My first time using them and my house didn't smell "clean" when I came home even though I know that it was. I feel that the services were overpriced considering how basic it was. I requested certain things done that seemed to overwhelm them...guess my expectations were too high? I preferred they use my steam mop but they used their wet mop insteadI like my furniture polish but they used theirs. They didn't dust inside my glass cabinets. I asked them to use leather conditioner on my couches which they don't normally do. The service was just ok but not outstanding. I will find a housekeeper that uses my products and cleans the way I want for less money. read more

I am very very happy with this service. They do a great job and my house is very clean. We have a young golden retriever and they are very kind to him which is important to me. They also make his shedded hair disappear! I have left the house in a variety of conditions and alway come home to find it clean and put together. A team of at least 2 cleaners show up when promised. I have never had a no show, late arrival or request for changing from a time they committed to. This is very important to me as we are a large family that is always going somewhere or expecting guests. On the other hand, I have emailed to change the time and date of my services and they are very very accommodating. For the level of service which includes the cleaning and efficient friendly customer service with seamless online scheduling I find MoreHands Maid Service a very good value. read more

I give one star for being able to clean toilets. THATS IT! My floor was completely scratched, MY vacuum was broken, my deep clean didn't exist. Not sure what they did for 7 hours, but it was as if nothing was wiped down. I would say they clean good bathrooms but my shower heads weren't even touched! Floorboards were the same as when I left the house. Then they used big sopping wet, dripping mops to clean my wood floors! They not only looked dull and filmy but could've been ruined with the fluid getting inside the cracks! Do NOT use them unless you are in need of a demo crew! Time for an attorney if they don't fix my floor this week!! read more

They did a great job cleaning my apartment. They were on time most days and when they were late it was always with good reason. My complaint is when I decided to cancel the service David would not return my messages requesting my house key. Obviously, this is a huge safety issue for me. I am always nervous that someone will have access to my home when I am not here. I changed my alarm code but still I feel uneasy knowing my apartment key is unaccounted for. Not the way to conclude what was a good business arrangement. read more

I wanted to like this company. My husband and I work a lot so I need a little extra help. I received my initial service Two weeks ago. I signed up for the two week recurring service. The ladies came and my husband was home. When I got home and inspected the house I was highly DISAPPOINTED. I honestly believe they cleaned the restrooms and vacuumed the floors and that was all. My ceiling fans were not touched. My book shelves were not dusted. My light switches were not sanitized and appliances were not cleaned. I called and was offered to have them return THAT DAY. However I was not home. The alternative was 10% off the next service which is literally only taxes. When I called to cancel I was charged an additional $60 charge for a one time cleaning even though I did not receive everything that I was supposed to receive. I am highly disappointed and I truly believe they are ripping customers off. They did not even try to be proficient on the very first service. I can only imagine what happens when no one is home. I wish I had read the reviews before I paid for the service. read more

Update: After about 2 years using More Hands we ultimately decided to cancel our recurring service a couple months ago. While David is extremely helpful and always willing to try to correct any mistakes, the mistakes from maids missing items or doing them halfway were just too much. Cleanings weren't consistent enough and it was just much effort and time to always have to mention what was missed or have to reclean items myself. There were some great cleanings and one particular supervisor I loved, Edmar, but again cleanings with other supervisors or even just other team members who accompanied her were never consistent. So overall it was a hit and miss over 2 years. read more

I used more hands maid service two times before I ended the service. When I first inquired about the service David was very responsive and helped walk me through the process. For the first cleaning I was at my home and was able to supervise the cleaning. I had a team of two and the ladies did a good job. They missed a few things that were guaranteed like some base boards and dusting of the blinds but I thought overall they did a good job. I had done some cleaning of the house prior to when they arrived and had set a rug outside of my house for a friend to pick up for her home. When the maids left, they put the rug I had placed outside of my home into their company car. My neighbor came and informed me of this when I looked stunned at the rug being removed from my porch. I decided to let that incident go and trump it up to a misunderstanding. The rug was not on the curb but on my porch, but I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt that they didn't know It wasn't free (I know... dumb). My second service did not go well at all. I was not home for this cleaning and when I got home I found multiple things that they had missed in the cleaning. Basic things like the floors were not done correctly and my counters were not cleaned in the kitchen/bathrooms. The mirrors were not clean. You could tell they took advantage of me not being in the home and quickly went through everything. On top of everything else, I came home to find my chair was broken. The maids had broken the back of my chair and a piece of the chair was sitting on my counter. I was absolutely furious. I understand accidents happen, but to not inform me and be proactive about bringing a solution to the problem was unacceptable. I went forward with contacting David and informed him of what had occurred the first time with my rug and this incident with the chair. I demanded a refund for the cleaning and a stop of all services moving forward. David was resistant to giving a refund and tried to keep my service by providing another cleaning crew. He did offer to come back to the home to use monkey glue to fix the chair, I appreciated his effort but I wanted my chair to be fixed by a professional. After much back and forth, he informed me a refund was granted and I should be seeing it back on my credit card in a few days. Overall bad experience, I wouldn't recommend this company unless you plan on being home for every cleaning and can supervise their work. Even then, just know you are not getting a good service for the money you are paying. read more

Hired for a Move Out Clean. Our buyers are getting a home that is ready for moving their items in. The refrigerator looked brand new. I can't even describe how excited and relieved I was after inspection. I send David money and greeting cards from all of my friends friends who are chipping in for the cleanings and every other week he ensures those greeting cards get left on my friends kitchen counter after her house is cleaned. I hired MoreHands to do a move out clean on a one bedroom apartment. The list of things they would complete was lengthy so I expected to be wowed when I got there to check the work. Instead of being wowed I came away with a long list of things that were unacceptable and needed to be re-cleaned. I emailed the company that night once I received the satisfaction survey and waited for a response. At 10am the next day- since I had not heard from anyone, I called to follow up. David was very nice on the phone and said that he had received the email and had already scheduled another crew to come out and re-clean. I was grateful that they had already arranged to do that but was disappointed that I had to follow up with them to find that out what was happening. I went back out to check the work again the following day, and it was much better. There were still things that were not completed but I was out of time to get them completed (for instance the freezer had not even been wiped out and still had food particles in it and several other things). Overall the service was just okay. I wish the communication was better - even after they came back out to re-clean I wasn't contacted to see if there were any further problems. I was hoping to use this company for my new home on a monthly basis but for now I think I'll save my money and stick to cleaning it myself. read more
