After, I was updated with the progress. After it was completed, I could not get it to read on my Mac. Wayne was able to confirm there was a bug within the os . I had a 512GB sd card that went bad a few days ago and I was frantically searching for places to assist in this recovery. I sent out a yelp project request and Wayne was one of the few people that was willing to take on the request. Mind you I asked on a weekend and Wayne said to bring it on in for an evaluation. We highly recommend RX Tech Repair! Our laptop had been problematic for nearly a year. It was extremely slow and there were pop-ups interfering with a smooth log-in. We brought it to RX Tech Repair last November. Abdullah took a look at it and immediately diagnosed that the laptop was infested with malware. He also noticed immediately that the battery was bad. He has a keen eye. He pointed out to us a nearly imperceptible bulge in the area where the laptop battery is located. He opened the laptop and sure enough he was right! The battery was swollen and bulging. Abdullah quoted us a fair price to replace the battery. He offered to clean the malware off the laptop at no additional charge. He told us that it might be possible that our hard drive might also be faulty too, but he wouldn't know for sure until he performed the other work first. When we picked up our laptop it was working much better, but was still running slow. Abdullah told us that our hard drive was indeed faulty and might fail soon. He strongly recommended we replace the hard drive as soon as possible. We had some critical work to do using an obsolete program, so we took a risk and postponed our hard drive replacement. This March we brought our laptop back and Abdullah installed a new 1 Terabyte SSD. Again, his price was fair and very competitive. He also restored Windows 11 and MS360 along with some other software. Now the laptop runs great! It runs faster and better than when it was brand new! All during this laptop restoration process, we contacted Abdullah multiple times either by phone or text message asking him a myriad of questions on different technical matters. Abdullah always went above and beyond answering our questions and providing guidance and advice. He devoted so much of his valuable time and energy helping us without charging us. When we met with him in person he would also take the time to answer more questions and even demonstrate how to do things we were not familiar with. In the future, if we have issues with our computers, cell phones or other devices, we know where we will take them. Abdullah at RX Tech Repair is the best! I made the mistake of taking these drives to other places that offered free initial services which ended up being a big mistake as they could not recover a single MB. Mike over at DriveCrash should be the first person you contact if you value your files. Their location is COVID friendly, everyone there wore masks, and there's plenty of parking. After Mike opened up one of my drives, he saw that the previous shop had caused irreversible damage. However, the good news was he was able to recover a portion of the drive which was not as damaged. The second drive had better luck and was able to be fully recovered. Communication was excellent in person, by phone, and through email. Mike was able to provide live updates and walked me through any questions/concerns I had. While data recovery is not the cheapest process, I was given a reasonable price and had my files back within a week. Hoping I won't have drives crash on me in the future but I know where I'll take them if I do.

Dishonest, Unprofessional, and a Complete Bait-and-Switch Experience…read more I don't usually write negative reviews, but my experience with Pros Phone Repair was so frustrating and dishonest that I feel the need to warn others. When my daughter and I first walked in, we were quoted what seemed like a fair and reasonable price to fix her phone. She had saved her own money and was so happy to finally get it repaired. The employee clearly stated the price multiple times, and we left feeling good about the decision. We dropped the phone off and came back later to pick it up. The repair was done, but when it came time to pay, the price was suddenly much higher than what we were quoted. There was no prior call, no explanation, and no attempt to honor the original quote. I immediately questioned it and asked to see the video footage of our initial visit -- with sound -- to verify whether the price had been my misunderstanding or theirs. I made it clear that if the video proved it was my mistake, I was more than willing to pay the difference. Instead, I was given an excuse that it "takes time" to access the video from their Ring camera system. Days passed, and despite me calling multiple times to follow up, no one ever returned my calls or provided the footage. It became obvious they had no intention of resolving the issue or being transparent. To make things worse, we later discovered that the phone's camera stopped working after their repair. I called again to try and address both problems -- the price discrepancy and the new camera issue -- but no one ever answered or got back to me. At this point, it's clear this business operates with zero accountability. It felt like a classic bait-and-switch tactic: quote one price to get the customer in the door, then change it afterward and dodge responsibility when questioned. Adding to the concern, many of the so-called "positive" reviews for this store look suspiciously fake -- vague wording, no details, and profiles with no other review history. After my experience, it's easy to see why they might feel the need to pad their ratings. If you value honesty, integrity, and basic professionalism, stay far away from Pros Phone Repair. There are plenty of honest, reliable repair shops that stand behind their word -- this is not one of them.
