My spouse escalated our request to the owner, George, as he felt that is was Ablaze responsibility…read more George said he would look into the issue. We notified them on 6/12/24, on 6/24 George himself came out to look at the pan and measure the closet to see if a new appropriate drain pan would fit because not all comply with current codes. He ordered the new drain pan, scheduled to have it installed but also commented on the review I left, he asked if he could come by. We said he could come verify our statements when the pan was installed but his team Brian and David were well aware of a number of issues prior to our final payment. Today, August 2nd the new drain pan was installed as George did acknowledge that is the proper installation for the set-up we have. He also reviewed a number of items, offered to fix what he could. While it was a nice offer/gesture, our experience with the team (Brian & David and all the sub contractors) made it impossible for us to accept. George indicated he was not aware and that a number of these items could have easily been punch list items to be taken care, but that option was never given to us. George did in fact reimburse us for a different issue. I'm grateful George stepped in and that he was willing to at least look into it. I'm more grateful he acknowledged and did correct the drain pan and I appreciate his offer to correct what he could. The crew that was here did an excellent job (from what we can tell as of today). It's unfortunate it had to be escalated but I can confidently say, when it was, George did everything he could to get taken care of appropriately. He communicated frequently and everything went very smooth.

They didn't use furniture pads that I bought for them to put under the couch and other furniture. I thought they used them and when I tried to move my couch, it scratched the floor. When I called them, they said it wasn't their responsibility to use the furniture pads or to get the streaks out so it looks like a new floor. They were very rude. I ended up hiring a new company for $3500 to get my floors looking the way they should've the first time. I would never use them again. They said there's nothing more they could do and it wasn't their responsibility to put on the furniture pads. I talked to the president of the company and he was very rude. Quote was separated into different areas: 1)Drywall, mud, tape and finish for paint in mud room,paint 2)Repair damaged drywall on ceiling in kitchen, paint 3)Repair damaged freshly on basement stairs,paint Every step was itemized and had the price next to it so if I thought paint was too much, I'd be able to remove that option. At the end, you pay for any items they needed to purchase to compete your job. I opted for all three items to be completed and also asked for additional things to be added throughout the projects (trim, baseboards, crown molding, paint) and they accommodated every aspect (with additional cost, of course). 2 guys were here for about a week and they were both extremely respectful of the property (booties, cleaned everything, busted ass)..they even asked to use the bathroom every time even though I don't think that was necessary (there was a language barrier of Ukrainian/Russian, so made it a bit hard to know closet meant bathroom lol). They took out the original floor- tile and mortar bed, all the way to the subfloor.
