My Camaro had some engine issues. I took it to a dealer closer to Novi and they told me it was going to cost $2500 to diagnose the vehicle, and based on preliminary findings, it likely needed a new engine which would bring my total to $10,000+. I purchased an extended warranty on the vehicle. Even though I am no where near the mileage limit, the car is over 5 years old and no longer covered. I called Moran and based on what was going on with the vehicle, they did not agree with the findings. They did the entire repair for $1900. They also did not charge me a fee to pay with my credit card. It was still an expensive repair, but much more reasonable than the original dealer. They have technicians dedicated to servicing only Camaros and Corvettes. They know what they are doing. I've bought several vehicles from Moran and recommended several people to them. We've all had a great experience! Even though they are across town from me, I will be taking all my vehicles to Moran for service in the future. read more

I purchased a Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) vehicle from Moran Chevrolet with the understanding that it came with manufacturer-backed warranty coverage along with additional warranties presented during the sales process. Unfortunately after the purchase my experience trying to address concerns and reach a reasonable outcome was extremely disappointing. What was presented during the sale did not fully align with the reality of the coverage and support I later received. When I attempted to communicate my concerns and work toward a fair resolution I was dismissed rather than helped. The sales and office staff were quick to emphasize warranties and protections during the buying process but far less responsive once issues were brought forward afterward. I understand dealerships are businesses but transparency and accountability matter especially when customers are making major financial decisions based on representations about warranty protection and vehicle reliability. My experience left me misled by some of the sales practices used to secure the purchase. I would encourage anyone considering buying a vehicle here to carefully review all warranty details, get everything in writing and ask detailed questions before signing paperwork. read more

I expected a salesman, instead he turned out to be a pretty cool guy. Went over the vehicle from front to back and then we talked about the leasing option. He gave me a "ballpark payment". Went in, got the keys and took it for a drive. Loved it and so did the wife. He wrote up the deal and was within a few dollars of the verbal estimate. We did the deal. Again, he went over the vehicle options and was pretty clear on it all. Dave Perala was a no pressure guy and sold us on it for that reason along with it being a beautiful truck. I had an appointment and it took 50 minutes to install wheel locks. Why don't they come standard anymore? This was more money out of pocket and time. I don't understand why less is being offered. I had a check engine light appear on my 2025 Trax on Saturday, August 16, and scheduled a service appointment for Monday, August 18 at 7:10 a.m. Since multiple appointment times were available, I reasonably expected that, unless repairs were required, I'd have my car back by the end of the day. Unfortunately, I did not receive it back until the following day. This was deeply frustrating and extremely inconvenient. My main concern is with the scheduling system. If customers can book a specific appointment time, there should be a strong expectation that their vehicle will at least be looked at that day. I understand that if anything more than minor repairs are required, that can extend the timeline, and that's reasonable. But if a simple consultation isn't possible until the next day, then too many appointment slots are being offered. This creates unnecessary frustration and feels misleading to customers. That said, I want to acknowledge that the staff themselves were professional and courteous. Once they began working on my car, they did seem to prioritize the repair so I could get back on the road as soon as possible. My feedback is directed at the scheduling system, which I hope the dealership will reconsider. read more

The reservation system/process for the service department needs significant improvement. Scheduled an oil change for 10 am. Wasn't complete until 2 1/2 hours later. It appears that they double book or overbook reservation slots. Everyone in the service department looks like they wished they were somewhere else. read more

Recently bought a vehicle 12-23-24, and about one month later 1-24-25 I went to start it up and multiple warning on dashboard and through the app. From Engine,Transmission Failure, emissions system failure, loss of stabiltrak, loss of power steering. it is now 2-22-25 and is still in the shop and 30 days and counting. This is listed as a Lemon according to the state of Michigan lemon law but they still won't honor any change of vehicle as this I told had to have the heavy mechanic come in to diagnose the Engine issues. As this will be on a Car fax and totally ruin any type of resale value. This vehicle had 700 miles on it , and was bought brand new. would never recommend this dealership to anyone read more

I got my car repaired in this dealership. And what I don't like here is that they don't give you an update of what's going on with your car.I kept calling my advisor but can't get a hold of her. I kept leaving voicemail but not getting a call back. They had my car for 4 days and they don't have any available loaner car/rental car,So I missed couple days at work. And when I called them they said everything was fixed they just need thr oil change. So I got dissapointed with them because they don't give me any updates. So I just told them when they haven't started doing the oil change yet I'll just pick up my car.And note they don't have any shuttle available to pick me up too. Went in for just an oil change. The Valet gentleman directed Shannon, who did not acknowledge instead she started trying to upsell me. After I refused she had to call the parts department to make sure they had oil filters for my minivan because it was not a Chevy. When I made my appointment online last week the website said I had points and asked if I wanted to use them. I said of course because I am unaware of these points. Once again, Shannon has to call someone to see if I can use my points, but gets no answer and goes and checks with the cashiers. The cashiers say that I can use my points. Keep in mind the only words Shannon had said to me were "Do you get your tires rotated somewhere?", "Would you like an air filter?", and "Taking the points credit off." We return and Shannon verifies my phone number and tells me the oil change will take at least two hours. I go wait in the waiting room. When the van is ready Shannon calls my wife, who is not with me. According to my wife, she was confused because "This is not the voice of the person I talked with before." my wife said she would call me for her and she said no and hung up on her. Shannon found me in the waiting room and once again tried to upsell. When I refused again she just walked away. About twenty minutes later Scott called me to tell me I could go pay at the cashier window. Went to the window and waited. Once again not greeted instead she said "What do you need?" Just overall odd customer service. Would not go back or recommend it. Also, after my first interaction with Shannon, I asked the staff if I could speak with Mike the service manager, and they refused to call or let me speak with him because he was too busy. I have only had one experience with this dealership and it will be the last. The receptionist is attentive and polite and the Sales guy Nate was professional, but that's where things went south. I needed to sell a vehicle for a relative and since the car was purchased from this dealership, this is where I went. The car I brought in was in great shape with very low miles. The value that they put on the car was ridiculously low and i understand the market, but to be treated as though they were doing me such a great favor was just not right. If i had been overpaying for a new or used vehicle, I'm sure they would have been bending over backwards. The sales manager Nick was acting as if i was taking up valuable time he could have spent doing something else. Never asked me my name or introduced himself. Handled the paperwork while i had to stand at a counter and write out a check to compensate for his lowball offer with a pen that wouldn't write. Then, to top it off, when the license plate needed to come off, oh here's a screwdriver, good luck with that. And could i get a copy of the paperwork? Ahh, yea, what did i do with that? And finally when i checked the used car list, there is the vehicle listed in pristine condition for 5500.00 over what they paid for it. We turned in our lease 1 month early to get a new one. Our sales rep told us that GM would cover the final payment for the turn in and set us up with the new vehicle and went on our way. We were over miles by some but it was never brought up so nothing was said / done. 2 months later we get a bill for the additional car payment and over miles. We call do dispute the fact that we owe on the final payment of the lease but it turns out they never put it in the contract. Basically they just lied and screwed us out of $300 and told us theres nothing they can do. Sales rep was unresponsive, waiting until the due date of the bill to give us any clarity. He bitched about the construction of installing office doors next to him the entire time. He demanded my ID to get the process rolling. I have taken my 2022 Chevy silverado 1500 up because the motor and/or transmission have been working incorrectly since I bought it. After telling me that it is fine numerous times, everything got worse. I scheduled to have the service done on it, and they gave me a loaner vehicle all to give it back after a week and say there is nothing wrong.... since then I have recorded video of it on multiple occasions acting up and now the check engine light is on as they will not return my phone calls let alone provide me with a loaner truck as I use it to haul my tool and kids around... it is amazing how there is no accountability for those selling the brand new vehicles, but you bet your bottom you as the consumer is under a contractual agreement to pay top dollar every month. Took my car here for a heated seat retrofit. I got notification that the retrofit was available, but couldn't get a hold of the dealership I bought it from and this one is closer to me anyway. I was surprised how helpful they were on the phone. They ordered my chip and it came in 2-3 days. When they called to let me know it was in, I was there on the next business day for the installation. I was impressed with the service department when I arrived. Sherri took great care of me. They were very busy but were extremely kind and apologetic for any sort of wait. They were working hard and you could tell. I was told it would take about 2 hours for the install but I was in and out within an hour. I've been to many dealers and haven't gotten such prompt, polite service like here. Heated seats are working great! read more

Waited a few days and called the dealership to see what was up and it wasn't even in transit to the dealership, the car was in Michigan but they hadn't picked it up. They said they couldn't deliver it cause they didn't have drivers? We waited and waited and still nothing. Finally, 2 weeks after it was suppose to arrive, he finally got it. been using them for 4 years or so now and just took care of in for service on Friday 17 of January 2025 got car back and a bunch of alerts kicked on and I called them back about it and they made An Appointment Tuesday to come in and they sat there reading me the history of the alerts of the ecm or (engine control module) communication and argued that they had nothing to go on I'm like your the service lady just take my car back there I didn't understand why she insisted I didn't get it looked at as the alarms went away after a couple days now with my experience of engines and ecm I know what she was telling me was wrong but I didn't want to argue or ask for a manager so I decided to leave I probably shouldn't have but how are you reading me the history list of alerts and problems and telling me they have nothing to go off of when your not the mech I don't like being played around with I'm not stupid. I bought a 2013 Chevy Malibu from there and the check engine light came on an hour after I drive it off the lot. I took it there numerous times for problems. It started in July 2023. In January 2024, the whole engine had to be replaced. It is almost May 2024 and the work still has not been done yet. I wouldn't buy a coffee cup from these people. read more

I received a flyer that offered me an upgrade with a slight increase in my payment ($48). I had 2 weeks until the offer expired. When I met with my salesman, he told me that I would have to pay $100 more a month or put $6000 down on the newer vehicle. There were no options available like the ones mentioned in the flyer. When I questioned about the flyer offer, he told me that not only did they not have the vehicle available from the offer, but that the flyer was expired. I pointed out that there was a week left until the end of the month. I stated that the offer was a scam & I left. I will never return to Moran for a vehicle. My Onstar service diagnostics reported that an engine service light is on and needs attention. I went to a local car repair shop to see if they could help with that and was told by them that the engine light diagnostics is reporting that an EVAP (evaporator-emissions vent system performance is failing. The repair shop said that there is a couple of emissions parts that may have failed and that the car is still under warranty until 2026. My car is a Chevy Trax 2016. They also said that GM will check and will install the part and that I will not have to pay anything for the part because still covered until 2026. So I took the car to Moran Chevrolet on 09-27-2024. The Service Advisor-Matt Burke told me that they will run diagnostic check and if part is covered under warranty then no charge but if not then there ill be a charge of $210.00. I had to leave my car there the whole entire day to have the work done. At the end of the day at 5:30pm I get a call from Matt Burke stating that the part cost $279 and the labor cost $671= $940.99. I was overwhelmed by the massive cost for this service done today!!! Not happy! Very upset! I also confronted the Service Manager afterwards of the HUGE price gouge of the labor. This car with the under 60,0 miles and still 2 years under the 10 year warranty period should not have to pay that kind of cost for this issue. 3 times the cost of the part just for labor...ridiculous! neither the service advisor or the Service manager is willing to negotiate any price change difference. I am still waiting to hear from the Manager of the Dealership. I would like a discount of $200.00 inflated labor charge. I am also placing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and the State of Michigan Attorney General Office for price gouging. read more

Had an 0840 appointment for an Oil change, I was told it would be completed no later than 0950. I don't know why it would take that long, but I waited, and waited and waited, until 0950, I asked them why my car had not even been started, and they just said, "Oh you will be the next one after one other." I told them why they would give me an 0840 appointment if they were not going to honor that time. They just looked at me and did not apologize for wasting my time. Please make a hidden mark on your tires to make sure they are being rotated. I trusted the service department with my vehicle and the safety of driving my grandkids around. I was shuffled around by a person Sandy, managers Kelly and Daniel about my concerns of the inaccurate diagnostics on my vehicle reports after being serviced at Morans. If they are incompetent of returning calls and listening to concerns, I question if my oil and filter were changed or just added oil because my tires definitely were not rotated. Today's issue is not being able to get a return call and/or speak to a person in the finance department concerning canceling my Gap Insurance. All I get are answering machines. I called back and explained to the operator that I wanted to speak to a person not an answering machine and she said, there was nothing she could do and transferred me again to another answering machine. I've tried since November to reach someone and all I get are answering machines. I left a couple of messages to not receive a call back.
