I was even late one time by around 15 mins and I felt terribly sorry and they were able to fit me in and never even showed any negativity, which I wouldn't blame them if they did! The minor fillings I had was done super quick and no pain, if at all, just minor. They were also very gentle with the cleaning compared to other places where I would be dreading to go. This place makes it feel more relaxing. They even have a TV mounted to the ceiling so you can choose a Netflix show to watch while you get your dental work done. Best part, when you check out with your payment, they help you submit to your insurance so you don't need to deal with the paperwork, which is just the best! You still need to pay first and it gets auto reimbursed from the provider to you. Now I'm not sure how their price is compared to others. Another neighbourhood friend asked where I go so I referred to this place but they said it was expensive because they're out of pocket and don't have insurance coverage.

Dr Lai takes his time to explain all the options available for my particular case and takes the time to discuss the pros and cons of each. He doesn't shame me for the amount of fillings I've gotten in the past, a result of poor upbringing and education as a child and an over aggressive previous dentist. He isn't pushy about drilling holes into my teeth, he always asks if its a real problem for me before he decides to do that and doesn't feel like he's trying to gouge me as much as possible. His hygienist is equally great! Extremely patient and thorough, she always makes sure that I'm comfortable and tells me what she's going to do before doing it. It takes a high level of trust to open one's mouth for a stranger to stick sharp metal sticks into, and sometimes some hygienists tend to forget that. Receptionist has been the same for a very long time. Excellent professional service and a delight to work with. I find the environment appealing without being too over the top. His dental chair is extremely comfortable and it makes me wonder if he's purchased the higher end of dental chairs haha I still appreciate the high level of regard they have for public health safety even though a lot of other places have lifted all restrictions regarding COVID. the treatment I've received after having surgery at this clinic is completely unforgivable…read more Everything seemed to go smoothly after surgery However my recovery was difficult as this was a revision and when i requested specific painkillers i was met with resistance and reluctance because according to one of his own on call doctors they are afraid to prescribe anything beyond generic over the counter painkillers like tylenol,ibuprofen and naproxen because they fear people are going to become addicted to stronger stuff. Excuse me? But this is an extremely invasive and painful procedure requiring real painkillers for people to bear the experience. Never mind the fact that eating is difficult after jaw surgery. now i must deal with the pain because your afraid i might become addicted when i am merely asking for potent pain killers during the infancy recovery stage of this procedure. Your supposed to be reluctant to give these meds after a significant amount of time has passed not the very beginning. For the first week of surgery i had to go three days without any pain killers all they did was prescribe anti inflammatories regardless of the fact my stomach could not tolerate them. The level of disrespect and lack of caring about a person's overall health is out of this world. I've received better healthcare from a plastic surgery chop shop in miami known for killing patients. I'm extremely disappointed because initially my doctor seemed to genuinely care about helping me yet once the surgery was done it was like playing phone tag between him and his assistance to help me. As frankly none of them seemed to give an F. One of the assistants even told me i needed to be patient after waiting two days without painkillers despite being 3 days post op with fresh wounds healing. I planned to sing my dr,'s praises after my surgery but the only thing i can say is this has been nothing short of a nightmare.

Staff is very friendly and accommodating, I always feel like my teeth are cleaned properly and that they are looking out for me, and they make sure to remind me when I have an appointment. I started going to Dr Yu after my other dentist missed a HUGE problem that had been going on for years. The damage in the end was quite bad and I required surgery. No one noticed it until I came here, and they helped me fix it. That deserves 5 stars alone. Location is in Bridlewood mall, by the library, in that hallway past the food court.

I already had surgery in 2012 with another dentist and it was a fail. I was refereed to Dr. Caudry as an urgent situation and I got a call from her office quite fast. She was very confident that she could fix my problem and the surgery took place a few weeks after. I was expecting it to last for hours - It took only 30 MINUTES AND I WAS OUT. Very quick and efficient. I healed very well (although let's be honest, it was excruciatingly painful) and her reception always made sure to send me text and email reminders for each follow up appointment. My problem has been fixed and I am thrilled with the result. Dr. Caudry's office is conveniently located right next to Bay subway station, in the middle of Yorkville. You would expect her rates to be crazy high because of the prime location, but honestly - it is quite reasonable. Of course it is expensive as she is a specialist ($150 for the initial appointment, if I recall), but it is pretty average. I think the only downturn is if you're driving, it can be a pain to find a parking spot.

I try to see the good in establishments, pointing out where businesses can improve and what they did exceptional. Today I have the pleasure of writing about a journey to obtain something personal. An experience that is rarely experienced in life, and achievement of something I have wanted for a long time with little to no effort or pain on my behalf. It is rare to provide a review like this, and I hope you take the time to read my journey and appreciate what I went through. When I was 11 years old, my little brother and I got into an argument, and he threw a glass at me (kids right?). The glass shattered 80% of me right front tooth so that I could spend the next 30 years having people stare at it and make me feel subconscious about it. I would have to go every 3-5 years to the dentist to have them rebuild the tooth with a material that always chipped, would get discoloured with coffee, not to mention that for over 20 of those years, I was a heavy smoker (I have quit now!) I even had children at my kids' school call me "Yellow Tooth" to my face! It was quite humiliating. But every time I spoke to a professional, I was told the same thing: "We can re-build the tooth or put a false tooth in - one being affordable, the other being super expensive". I couldn't afford a false tooth... nor did I want to go through that. So, I would just have it rebuilt every few years and assumed that was going to be routine for the rest of my life. Until I walked into Dentistry on Thornhill Woods. They literally changed my life. Dr. Kent is an incredible dentist. He is very warm and even keel. He too has a great smile, and is very confident in his skills. He is a super competent dentist, and is very talented in what he does. He loves to take charge of the situation, and you can tell he instinctively knows what the right thing to do is. Most doctors try to rush you out the door so they can get to the next patient and make more money, but I never once got this sense from Dr. Kent. He is a methodical man that likes to take his time and do things right the first time, and you can tell that he instills this ethic in his staff as they are all patient, great listeners and are never in a rush to get you out the door. Nancy and Dr. Kent are really a dynamic duo that are hard to contend with. They always make me feel welcome, ensure I am comfortable and that I am an important client to the clinic. I cannot say enough good things about this place. I rarely do this, but I give Dentistry on Thornhill Woods a 5+ Star rating. They truly are perfect in every way possible.
