Small and quaint spot for hidden gem of a place for decent italian food. Only thing with the indoor seating is that the benches are way too high for the table. I felt like a dog eating out of a bowl and had to be switched to the patio seating. Very limited parking in the lot. Calamari was delicious and not overcooked with too much breading. Pizza was delicious with a good crisp and quality ingredients. The bass was a bit too oily for me and the vegetables were drenched in the oil. Asparagus was either overcooked or in the oil for too long I dont know. Bread service was... interesting. Focaccia was very thin and almost like a cracker. Would maybe add a bit more in the dough and bake a little less? The star was the tiramisu. Light moist with all of the flavors i want in a tiramisu. Will come back and try the pasta.

A great meal starts with excellent service. I had a reservation so I was seated right away even though my full party wasn't there. It's a very small restaurant but very beautifully decorated with about five tables and a bar area although they do have an outside patio. The server was very friendly and attentive. We started with wine, of course, and crispy calamari. I have to say this calamari was so crispy, tender and tasty probably one of the better calamari apps I've had. It had not only calamari, but also zucchini and artichoke. For pastas, we got the Cacio e Pepe, carbonara, and the Bolognese. Just delicious. Each bite was so tasty and pasta cooked perfectly. I love eating with people who like to share since you get to taste a lot of dishes and then even go back for seconds. Finished off with the tiramisu, which was a great way to end the meal. Only downside is Parking is very limited. Although they have a parking lot, it is shared with a market and other businesses which also have designated parking spots. Since the restaurant is located on Ventura, there is metered 2 hour street parking, but you may just be walking a distance.

I had a great experience at Mora. The service was wonderful 10/10 and the food was delicious. We had a bottle of cab Franc that the waiter recommended I was very happy with. We had the Tuscan meatballs for an appetizer. They were creamy and fresh. We had the Rigatoni Alla Vodka and the Spicy Prosciutto pizza. The pizza dough was very good and the pasta was cooked perfect Al dente. The restaurant is very intimate and reminds me of cafes in Europe.

We would give 100 stars!!! The food was delicious! The pomodoro pasta was exceptional and the salmon with the apples was cooked to perfection! Oh my gawd, don't skip on the dessert. The tiramisu was super creamy and scrumptious! The restaurant was nice and clean. There was plenty of parking tonight. Jorge and Corina were amazing! They worked well as a team to bring out food, refill drinks and clean and set up tables for new guests. Definitely a neighborhood gem

This was the perfect little date spot. The food was amazing and service was quick. We got the salad that started with a P. lol cucumber and tomatoes were so fresh and tasty. The carbonara was my favorite with really thick noodles! Great wine list too!

Cozy spot with a great wine selection, attentive service and spot on Italian food. The also get the award for best Brussels Sprouts in the Valley. The legit happy hour is a bonus.

Front entrance is small and inconspicuous, but I am a fan of outstanding establishments with inconspicuous entrances.

A friend invited me to join them at this establishment. I honestly was not expecting such a special place. I was merely trying to meet up with a friend. Besides finding my friend, I found an intimate local Italian wine bar with a very classy and sophisticated environment. The parking lot is not large, so it might be the case that you'll need to maybe park on the street curbside, but the walk would not be far. I just appreciated how relaxing and classy this place was. I want to place emphasis on the word "intimate". This place is chill. However, the best part about this establishment might very well be their food. It's a wine bar--and if you're a wine lover, you already know you're not going to have a problem finding a good glass of wine at an Italian wine bar. What I was not expecting was to have a pasta dish that I would find to be remarkable. The "Penne Arrabiatta" was outstanding. Mouthwatering. I look forward to trying more of their menu. The service was excellent. Attentive and responsive. Mora Italiano gets five solid stars from me.

If you are a fan of Billy Joel (like me), you may find your "Scenes From an Italian Restaurant" in Mora Italiano. Conveniently located in Encino (Ventura Blvd), with easy access and parking (limited). I highly suggest to make a reservation, it gets full very quickly. Small set, great service, plenty of attention, extraordinary wines and authentic Italian food. We had the Crispy Calamari to start, followed with Perciatelli Carbonara and the Ricotta Stuffed Tortellini as well, combined with the waiter's recommendation of ILGrigio Classico Chianti wine - perfect combination. "Whatever kind of mood you're in tonight I'll meet you anytime you want In our Italian Restaurant". Hopefully Brenda and Eddie will visit this lovely restaurant and reconcile. :)

When we arrived they told us that if we order a bottle of wine we would get a margarita pizza for free and of course we went for it. Our server knew his stuff and recommended a smooth wine for us to try. The pizza was delicious and the pasta tasted home made (that sauce is one I'd dip bread in to finish). Only reason I am giving a lower rating is because we sat outside and would have rather sat inside since we made a reservation the day before.

Found this spot through the inKind app while looking for a place to go to celebrate a birthday. Tucked next to Coral Tree Cafe this spot is on the smaller side for their interior dining area but they do have a decent outdoor patio for al fresco dining. The staff was really nice and attentive. Now it's not often that we order several dishes and they are ALL good. Absolutely no complaints on any of the dishes. The spicy prosciutto and ndjua pizza was so so crispy and the sauce was so robust and flavorful. We also ordered the insalata tricolore and it was refreshing and light; the champagne vinaigrette perfectly sweet and tangy. For main entrees we went with the shrimp fra diavolo and the shrimp was nice and big and cooked very nicely; a second pasta we ordered was the carbonara; the bucatini was perfectly al dente and the sauce was exquisitely rich and creamy. We also ordered the rack of lamb which was a big hit. For sides we tried the sautéed broccolini which was spritzed with lemon juice as well as the lemon potatoes. To end the evening we satisfied our sweet tooth with a tiramisu and their olive oil cake. Both desserts were phenomenal but what really won me over was the olive oil cake; with its berry sauce and cream with crushed pistachios ughhh I dream about this cake. Highly highly highly recommend you try them out!

I had a gift card so we tried it. It was tricky to find the front door because there was no sign. It's a tiny place with only 8 tables inside and some outside in a tented patio. We were seated right away. They brought out focaccia bread with olive oil & balsamic vinegar. We shared the Caesar salad and I was glad that it was big enough for two. I had the spinach & basil ravioli and he had pasta carbonara. They both tasted just like when we were in Rome. I had to ask where the bathroom was because again there was no sign on the door. It was nice but not magical for a $90 meal.

We had a party of 11 inside in the dining area by the bar the ambience was beautiful, perfect quaint, and charming.. we felt like we were in an intimate restaurant somewhere packed away in Rome. I love the simple decor and that is all about the food.... Pasta sauces were delicious and portions were hefty! The servers were really tentative and very professional and dressed very nicely! We plan to have many dinners, and celebrations here the patio is adorable as well for a date night and their wine selection is great!! Don't drive to the city ! we started off with some pizzas that were delicious. Please try the mushroom with truffle and micro greens!!! Happy that Encino has a place like this and happy to always support a small business like Mora !!! Our server Val was so sweet and she knew all the regulars and locals I love a place with that kind of vibe! Thank you for such a lovely night.. many more to come xo. Thank you from one small business to another! We appreciate you ! @stilehairsalon

It's a small place and the decor didn't really feel like it matched the vibe, and the karaoke set-up was not very good. It was really hard to hear the backing music, even when you were the one singing, but this isn't the type of place that you come to "perform" for karaoke like a lot of other places in LA. It's very casual and low-pressure. Song choices were all over the place (which isn't necessarily a good or bad thing). Late night happy hour menu was decent and they offered it from 9pm on that night, and the place did get packed to standing room only. I had a hard time finding info on what their happy hour was before we went, so I took a picture to share. This was on 2/6/2026. The bartender, Brian, was very friendly, but I realized when looking at the emailed receipt afterwards that he switched one of my sibling's drinks on my tab, and I'm assuming mine got put on theirs. We have the same last name, so I understand the mix-up, but it would have been nice if he just asked about who was who instead of assuming, and it also would have been nice to see an itemized receipt before paying instead of just seeing the dollar amount we owed. Not a huge deal this time, just something that I hope they will keep in mind in the future. For food, my partner was able to get a pizza from a place across the street and bring it back into the bar, and Brian was kind enough to offer extra napkins. For other people with back problems, be aware that their bar stools do have back rests on them, but no cushions. We had a good time, and this bar seems to host special events regularly, which we may go back for eventually if the right one comes up, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go back here.

I've had oyster shooters before and loved them but didn't like their take on it here. Way too much horseradish and the vodka portion was way off (too little vodka) and unbalanced. Oysters Rockefeller - 4 1/2 stars. Quite meaty and delicious, such a great flavor and take on this classic dish. Crab Cake - 4 stars. Quite the large portion, and quite good! Miso Chilean Seabass - 5 stars. This was excellent! It was cooked perfectly with a delicious miso sauce, served with a tasty jasmine rice and steamed spinach. Short Rib w mashed potatoes - 5 stars. No notes! The meat was soft, tender, and rich and flavor and the potatoes were also excellent. Our waitress (who was fabulous) brought out an ice cream Sunday to celebrate the birthday occasion and I have to say it was also fabulous! It was an old school brownie sunday with gobs of delicious hot fudge and sprinkles and an item I would definitely order upon my next visit. I didn't realize they had a complimentary parking lot in the back, that's a huge bonus. Would definitely come back here for a special occasion, this spot is solid!

This place became one of our fave places to eat in the Valley, from the first time we visited…read more Almost everything we had was above par ( we weren't fans of a rather bland salmon appetizer ). The famed lobster appetizer was not for us. Bits of lobster floating in a lot of butter didn't excite us. Excellent salads. The other appetizers however, were excellent. We've been twice now had had a lot of their menu. The pork was outstanding. The rack was very good, but I've had even better racks elsewhere. The "famous" banana cream pie was good, not great, but so huge and rich it must be shared. At $30, it's maybe also a tad overpriced. The bar makes a healthy-sized martini that's worth its high-end price tag. Great wine list with wonderful advice and good-sized sample pours, even though I only drink one glass and my husband doesn't drink at all. This is a good place to splurge on a good wine. I've mentioned the above-par service. Informative and cheery, without trying to become your best friend. They went out of their way to assure us a table in a very quiet spot, due to my deafness. Very attentive without being overbearing. Their suggestions seem honest, rather than just trying to upsell everything. The place is huge and gorgeous. Flatteringly, if dimly, lit, it lends itself to romantic dinners and anniversaries. In our case, we like to have a rather luxurious and romantic and lengthy meal perhaps once a month, and feel very fortunate to be able to do so. It's divided into several smallish areas and the effect is rather cozy and intimate. It's chic and stylish, so PLEASE folks, dress for it? It especially saddens me to see a nicely dressed young woman, who obviously spent some time on herself beforehand, with a guy ( I'll guess her husband ), in shorts and a tee shirt. I say, for a place like this, where you could easily spend four bills on a good meal for two, with drinks, management, bring back a dress policy! And enforce it with a reminder email they you do so. Is a collared shirt and a pressed pair of khakis too much to ask for?

The bar was full, but Kayla didn't mind that we took a table, even though we told her we weren't ordering food. Unfortunately, this morning's brunch was disappointing. I had the Elevated Avocado Toast (description on menu: Our dough with house seasoned avocado spread caprese: topped with diced tomatoes and mozzarella pearls). There was nothing elevated about this toast. It was a basic bread slightly toasted, barely enough avocado spread to cover each piece of toast. Plus, the avocado spread tastes premade from a bag, not fresh. There were more onions than tomatoes. The "mozzarella pearls" was regular mozzarella that was chopped up. I added eggs on top, sunny side up, they were cold. My husband had the Three Eggs Any Style (description: Served with 2 strips of bacon and homestyle fried potatoes with onions). He was given the wrong potatoes. The kitchen gave him papa freitas instead. The pancakes were decent. Our waitress was lovely as usual. We somehow always get the same waitress when we go. I hope they can use this as a learning opportunity for the future. We will be sticking to their dinner menu for now on.
