They have been coming to the West Lafayette farmers market this season and I always try to pick up a pie. I have tried many different kinds and have yet to get a bad one. The crusts are flaky and they have ample fillings. read more

Sold pies for them in connection of Eastern Elementary school fundraiser, has been the absolute worst experience ever when it came to fundraising. The kids did not get anything as rewards etc for selling the pies (except for the top 3 sellers) it was pushed from pickup on Friday to Monday at 3:15 today is Monday & now they don't know when the pies will be ready for pick up. I've called the school & the pie shop & absolutely no one I've talked to knows when they'll be ready. I don't live in town so will have to make yet again another trip in for these pies. After dealing with angry customers wanting their money back from not receiving the pies they ordered on time. This has been nothing but a headache. UPDATE: After waiting 3.5 hours & 3 trips to Greentown today I'm still missing 12 of my pies. Customers are wanting refunds. read more

I first tried Moore's pies several years ago when I was visiting in Kokomo. They hey were excellent. Everything time in visited Kokomo I would buy a pie and take it home to Michigan. Today is several years later and I se from reviews that have here is a new owner. Well I visited the place on my way back from Bloomington and the pies are still top notch. I bought four different small pie at the Carmel Farmer's Market-apple walnut, cherry crumble, black raspberry and chocolate meringue. We thought they were all delicious. My son liked that the crust was thinner than most pies. My husband didn't care for the chocolate pie but I think he is used to whipped cream instead of meringue. I will definitely be buying pies every week I go to the Farmer's Market. read more

Purchased for Thanksgiving. Pumpkin (Good), Butterscotch (Odd beef tallow flavor), Apple( OK) and Sugar Cream (No-one liked--I think these should taste like sweet cream not just sugar sweet and the crust was tough). We would not buy again. After our displeasure...looking at their ingredient list it is way to long for a pie. I appreciate the use of lard as it is a fat I use regularly but I actually experienced a beef tallow like flavor I did not care for in a pie. read more

Grow up in Kokomo and Moores Pie Shop was frequently visited in my family. As an adult I live many states away now. Whenever I am in Kokomo I must stop and purchase all those favorites I had as a child. Nothing has changed. They are still delicious and a tasty treat to have. read more

other than the hours painted on the side of their building being wrong, it seems like it is a friendly group of people, and some pretty solid pies at reasonable price. I was disappointed that my first trip, it was during their posted hours, but they were closed. I would suggest giving them a call to see what pies they have and if they are open. Diabetic pie had old crust and the peaches were brown. My family was disappointed. The sales lady was nice and is giving me a refund. It's just when you purchase from a pie shop. This should not have to happen. It even tasted old. read more

Absolutely, without a doubt, the BEST pie in town! I have been coming to Moore's Pie for years and the quality is always worth the drive. It is family owned and delicious. I have tried so many different flavors and find the cherry pie and the apple crumble pie to be the best! My Uncle loves the lemon pie and the chocolate pie, my mother loves them all. The crust is cooked, flakey and brown not burnt. The staff are wonderful, my daughter loves coming in to see them every year when we make it back to town. Bought a cherry pie from Moore's today. I can't believe there were hardly any cherries at all....and I seriously mean hardly any. It looks like it was filled with red corn starch as filling. Those small Hostess pies had more cherries than this entire pie! My family was very disappointed. If you want a pie that actually has fruit filling, then try Polly's or Marie Calendar. This place is a total ripoff! No cherries!! read more
