Love stopping here for a sweet treat! My favorite place to visit when I'm in town! Chocolate marshmallow milkshakes are the best

Unfortunately, this was not a good visit. The service was slow, the food wasn't great, and the overall experience just wasn't worth it. I wouldn't recommend this place. read more

Great ice cream!! Friendly girls working there! The best hot fudge sundaes and great marshmallow cokes!!!

I've ate a lot of ice cream and frozen custard over the years, but Sycamore is still my favorite! The service is always friendly and quick, and the food is perfect! read more

Good news - food is good along with the staff Bad news- prices are ridiculous and you get ice chips in your ice cream read more

Sycamore Drive In - a person holding a cup of ice cream - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Logansport, Indiana

A local recommended this place. Went on a Wednesday at 1:30 and th drive Thur line was wrapped around the corner and about 10 people in line. They carry 3'flavors if ice cream a day. Today's feature was mint chip my daughter got the vanilla and it's more of a soft scoop ice cream. I know they homemake all the ice cream so this is probably the reason that it's on the softer side. It was just an average vanilla. Nothing special with it. It wasn't overpowering in flavors. The menu is scattered across the windows which makes it hard to read. They do carry the usual such as shakes and sundaes. There is parking on the street and a few spots by the building. If we lived here I'm not sure we'd come very often. read more

Started going there when I was in high school...graduated in 1959. It had been 13 years since we last there but is a "must do" when back in Indiana. I love two things about Sycamore's: 1. Their lemon custard!!! 2. They have worked diligently, and successfully in my opinion, to preserve the original flavor from those many years ago. That is amazing! read more

The best because it's not just "ice cream" it is super creamy and super flavorful. I'm not sure if they're still making it on site but I know that they did for many years. So there may only be the holy trinity of flavors (vanilla, chocolate and strawberry) plus one other flavor of the day available. Try it. Trust me you won't mind that at all. Malts, shakes, sundaes, comes, cups, banana splits, parfaits, slushees all you expect. You might look at the prices and think that's a little high - worth it! Oh yeah, they have a small sandwich menu too! read more

My favorite part of visiting my grandparents. I bring home a quart of vanilla and chocolate back to Michigan. Nothing beats this place

This was a really fun, small-town place to visit. With Covid, my husband and I have been loading up our two dogs and visiting a local place in Indiana towns this summer. We had never been to Logansport so we looked at Yelp and chose Sycamore based on great reviews and hit the road for ice cream on a Friday night after work. The drive in is pretty cool, right in the middle of houses in a neighborhood area. It's more of a drive thru than drove in technically and sure enough we could see the line down the street as we got close. The girls working the drive thru were really friendly in helping us choose something to order. They seemed to have a good number of options. I really enjoyed the turtle sundae and my husband couldn't pass up the caramel apple wedges for ice cream. We both thought the caramel was very tasty. And actually ordering the caramel apple wedges with ice cream is probably a really good idea! It's a bit of a drive for regular visits but if we want to go for a drive for something different, I'd go back and try it again. It definitely gave me the feeling of a small town ice cream place versus the chain of bigger commercial places. read more

Great frozen custard. Vanilla and chocolate fresh each day, along with a rotating daily selection. I highly recommend the black raspberry and egg custard. The must-get is the hot turtle sundae with hot caramel, hot fudge, and pecans. The novelties are made on site as well. Sycamore has a small selection of hot food as well- I'm partial to nachoes with cheese, spanish sauce, and jalapenos. A few benches for seating on the side of the building. Note the sycamore tree in front- it replaces the namesake tree which met its demise ten or more years ago. Perfect as is, and better with a trip to the Riverside Park carousel and minigolf. read more

Driving from coast to coast you may never encounter a more evocative bit of Americana. The Sycamore is well worth the significant detour from the turnpike. Go ahead and embrace the whole experience. As you eat your frozen custard, walk down to Riverside Park and ride the carousel. Yeah ... they have a carousel. This place is like being on a movie set. read more

Horrible service, waiting in line an hour before closing, was treated horribly by the owners daughter no less. Telling us how inconsiderate we were... Now anyone who knows sycamore.... Knows how bad these lines get and its now summer so they should know this is going to happen. They should be grateful that people are giving them buisness! read more

It's good, but I think what makes it so good for me is that it's nostalgic. I don't live in Logansport anymore. Rarely do I visit when Sycamore is open, but when I do, I will make a trip to Sycamore to eat the ice cream of my youth. read more

I will NEVER say anything negative about this place. Sycamore is something I wake up and realize I'm living in LA and I'm too far away to get a raspberry fruit chiller or chocolate ice cream waffle cone. Out of every ice cream place i have ever gone to, Sycamore is by far my favorite. I didn't really grow up going too often but in my teenage years I was there every week! Nice employees and fast service. If someone is driving near Logansport, you HAVE to stop here and eat something! Their food is even amazing. Nachos with banana peppers or their chili cheese dog...ugh I have to stop now. Miss it already!! read more

Some of the best ice cream in the US. Custard is so smooth and tasty, if you are close don't miss it.

The custard was so fresh! It was possibly the tastiest ice cream I've ever had. I will definitely be back when driving through this area again. The line was worth it. read more

We are ice cream connoisseurs. Well, not officially. But these chocolate malts are thick and gritty (as in plenty of malt gritty). Yum! We'll be back for more! read more

The frozen custard here is so good! I highly recommend the Oreo Bubba. Well worth the price! One of my first stops when we visit Logan.

I am a frequent customer and love the bubbas.Best ice-cream hands down, but some of the girls working there are very rude and not friendly.
