After sending photos and doing some phone troubleshooting, we were told we needed a part--and that we'd be lucky if it was fixed before Christmas. The main problem and downside is that they are very expensive and overcharge. Despite the Yelp page saying that the company provides a "free estimate", I was quoted $49 for the technician to travel. In addition, if I had not chosen to go ahead with the repair, the company would have charged me an additional $150 diagnostic fee. Essentially, despite the yelp profile stating a "free estimate", it will cost you closer to $200 to get a quote. I see this as false advertisement. In addition, when the technician concluded that the problem was the capacitor, I received a final quote of $600. When I googled the price of the same capacitor online, the price range was in between 75$ - 150$. Essentially, they are charging a premium of at least $450 per replacement for a single part (capacitor). Despite their professionalism and quality work, I do not recommend this company for the reasons stated above. If price is not a concern for you, and you would rather pay twice the market value for a job then you should definitely choose them. EDIT: I actually googled the price of a capacitor and offered to buy my own. I was told that by the technician that if I purchased my own capacitor that the company would not install it. In conclusion, they did not address any of my concerns. Unfortunately, after reading the other bad reviews, there seems to be a consistent pattern of discrepancies between what they tell customers and what they instruct technicians to say on site. Making an honest living is so much more rewarding than making it dishonest living.

However, after some work on our gas fireplace…read morethat involved removing the gas feed at the valve last winter we seemed to notice a slight gas smell but thought it was residual from the work done. This is a second home so the next time we came down and opened the door you could really smell the gas leak! I bought a gas detector at Home Depot and found the gas coupling at the feed valve was leaking. This was on a weekend but I needed to get this fixed for my family's sake. I gently tightened the coupling the rest of the way after finding it loose by about a 1/4 turn. Retested and the leak was gone. Dunno perhaps they were in a rush to get to another job but darn - that was kinda dangerous.
