I came into Brookline because I was told over the phone they had a nursing program. When I showed up…read morethey only had medical assisting and other programs I wasn't interested in,which was a little frustrating since I drove that far on my one day off to come in.But I explained to them it was a misunderstanding no big deal.Liv is so sweet but then Amanda the director of admissions started asking me all these questions and instead redirecting me to another school, she told me that she was "concerned" based on my "level of education" that nursing was going to be too hard.Asked me if I can even handle a 4 hour test.Told me only 50% can even get in. She was very condescending and rude. Also said I'm going to be in tons of debt and said I would likely not be able to afford the out of pocket. She asked me really unnecessary questions like how much my paychecks are. I never feel the need to write bad reviews but she was unbelievably pushy and made a lot of assumptions about me as a person.I felt judged and I know she is trying to get people to take classes at this school that is her job but I will never attend this school!Even if I consider medical assisting I will find somewhere else to take my hard earned money.Amanda is a terrible sales person. I didn't fall for her scummy sales tactics.I'm only giving this 3 stars because Liv and the financial aid were very helpful with trying to get me back on track with my other student loans.

But no, I was told I could buy the book at a "discounted rate" of $150!!! program director Jamie Alvey is NO HELP and does NOT care about the well being of any student that goes here. We are a paycheck to her and that's all l. On the other hand the ONE good thing about Brookline was the two "teachers" more like mentors! Fanta and Lidia ! Without them the program is trash and they're the ONLY reason we all kept going in my class at least.

I had to go to the Central campus even though I'm in a Health Sciences program at 18th Street site…read more It was almost 4:30/closing time but the woman at Business Services still took the time to help me w/ impt paperwork & I appreciate that so much! Then I walked around inside the Main building & was impressed by the mod colors/design. The exterior of another building features a gorgeous patio, for students to relax/study. Who knew?! This Yelper, that's who ;)

I strongly advise against enrolling in this school's nursing program. The program is misleading…read moreand, in my experience, essentially fake. You will likely lose both your money and your energy here. Many of the instructors are RNs but lack the proper qualifications to teach effectively, and they provide little to no useful instruction. It's hard to understand how the nursing board even grants them credentials. The administration seems to care more about collecting tuition than ensuring students actually learn. If your goal is to complete a nursing program smoothly and become a competent, proficient nurse, I recommend choosing a different school. Save yourself the frustration and invest your time and resources elsewhere.

I attended the UOP for my Associates in Criminal Justice, Bachelors in Organizational Security &…read moreManagement, and Masters in Administration of Justice and Security. They made it easy to attend full time and be in the active duty military. I was able to over lap classes to finish sooner, which still getting all of my benefits. I have had only amazing experiences through my programs. They make it easy to order transcripts, both hard copy & digital. They even sent me new diplomas after I got married & changed my name. One day, if I have time, I wouldn't mind doing some adjunct professoring here.

I have some major concerns about fraud going on here concerning FAFSA money. I work in Financial…read moreAid for a college in Washington and am very familiar with how the system works. My child decided to attend UOPX and I've been paying close attention to her financial account at this school. Something is definitely off. My child was awarded over $20,000 in aid and so far has only received about $200 in "excess funds" sent to her. That's a problem. I also noticed how the school went ahead and paid themselves for the next year of classes. Classes we aren't even sure she'll be staying at UOPX to take. Why are we paying ourselves a year in advance? Other schools don't do that. Also, they claim that somehow, only enough of her aid has arrived at the school to pay the school themselves for the next year and the remainder of her aid that would go directly back to her in "excess funds" has miraculously NOT arrived from the Dept. of Education yet. That seems odd. Also, the tuition cost at this school is more than double the majority of schools, especially online programs. In some cases where I checked, it is TRIPLE the amount of other schools. I have come to the realization that this school is entirely a money grab, not an educational institution. My daughter better receive every penny in excess funds she is entitled to and if she chooses to leave UOPX, then every penny you have taken from her for future classes better be returned. I will be watching her account like a hawk and will report every instance of fraud concerns directly to the Dept. of Education and their ombudsman. And judging by the countless reviews down below regarding the same issues, you've probably already had many complaints. Get your act together UOPX and do better. We are paying attention.

This school was a true joke in all the sense of the word…read more To start off with how I was accepted into the school. I had a dream of becoming an animator for Disney. That was the dream for me. I was told that I needed know how to draw to be accepted into the animation program, so I submitted three of my best drawings and lo and behold, I got a callback. I moved to Tempe, AZ with aspirations of becoming an animator and working my way to Disney. Well, when school started after 3 months into the program I started to realize I wasn't in the animation program that I asked for. I came to realize I was in Graphic Design. I started asking questions and when I went to see my counselor to get some clarity and also who I submitted work to and who kept my original drawings on her walls, was no longer there and neither were my drawings. She had quit and taken them with her along with other students work. I made a big complaint and was told that, that was the program I was put in and that I needed to prove again that I could draw to be accepted into the animation program. I showed them and they immediately agreed that I could draw. By then I was deep into a program I didn't want to be in, in the first place. Years later I've tried to get credits transferred to another college as I am returning back to school, they conveniently closed down to fraudulent practices (like putting students into programs to suit the school's needs for funding) and come to find out they didn't update my GPA and I was stuck with a below average GPA so, I had to jump through hoops to prove to the new college I had a very high GPA. Now I am finding out my AA is pretty much just a worthless piece of paper and would be better off made into a paper airplane. It's embarrassing to have that on my application as I have not been hired for nothing to do with what I went to school for. Tuition is still there too. There has been a huge criminal investigation and it's all public documented. See for yourselves.

I used to work at Collins College in Tempe. All they cared about was money, and the level of…read moredishonesty, especially with CEC employees (parent company/owner) was disgraceful, and sometimes illegal. Like when I discovered a new student had an $18k loan he did not apply for or know about. He said he used scholarships to pay his tuition and did not need a loan, so I pulled his promissory note; showed him it was electronically signed, approved for $18k - and he was shocked! He thought his tuition was already paid, and no one mentioned him needing a loan. In the end, his admissions rep got all the necessary personal information by telling him it was for his enrollment application -- then he used it to electronically sign a promissory note but never told him. And they tried to reprimand me for canceling a loan the student clearly did not sign, want or even know he had. That's just the tip of the iceberg; the place was a nightmare, and it is good they are closed. Corporations like CEC that are only care about profit should not be allowed to own any schools.
