Today is 99 degrees…read more I contacted James, the owner after reading the reviews here and he came out here last Friday to inspect our condenser (outside unit) and discovered that we had a bad compressor. Now going back about two years ago we replaced our furnace and the coil. Last year I had an HVAC company come out and they said we needed a whole new system, costing almost $5K, something we could not afford. Moving forward, on Friday James discovered that our coil in our attic could be used with R-410A (refrigerant), so we did not need to replace it, something the other guys tried to deceive us on. James is extremely knowledgeable about HVAC, explained why it would not be worth just replacing the compressor and thoroughly enlightened me on just replacing the condenser. In the end a new unit costs the same as a new compressor, so it was an easy decision to make. James was able to find us a new unit for an excellent price and replaced our old condenser that was R-22 to the new standard R-410A. As James pointed out because we are selling our home, most people will want R-410A systems, as R-22 parts will become obsolete in 2020, as R-22 systems (Class II Ozone-Depleting Substance) are being phase out due to EPA Laws. Today, James let me know he found a unit and that he was on his way. He installed the brand new Goodman 5 Ton, 13 Seer and now we have COLD air. This guy is extremely professional, has a good moral compass and is an honest man, something that is extremely RARE in HVAC. My best friend who is a contractor and works with HVAC companies could not even refer me to ones he trusted, now that is sad. Therefore, I am so glad that I found this guy. I'd recommend this guy and his team to anyone and will certainly use him again in our new house. I do not say this often, but anyone would be foolish not to call this guy. Follow-Up Review: Continued Refusal to Address Significant Damage…read more I'm posting this follow-up to inform potential customers that Assured Comfort Heating, Air, and Plumbing still refuses to accept responsibility for the significant damage caused to my home--originally exceeding $100,000 in mold remediation and repairs. During an attempt to correct their own sloppy workmanship, they caused an additional $4,000 in secondary damage, which their insurance company did not cover and they refuse to reimburse. Despite being formally served by the Marshal's Office, Assured Comfort has failed to respond to my small claims court filing. As a result, I'm now pursuing a default judgment in Fulton County Superior Court. Given the unprofessional service, extensive damage, and complete lack of accountability, I strongly advise prospective customers to seek a different provider--there are many reputable options in the area, such as CoolRay, Premier Indoor Comfort, and Casteel Heating and Cooling, all of which can be easily found on Google with far better reviews and ratings. Don't risk going through the nightmare I've experienced with Assured Comfort.

Matthew stated on the phone it was probably the capacitor and he would be over at 8AM the next day. He arrived on time and replaced the damaged capacitor bringing the AC back to working. Matthew was punctual, knowledgeable and friendly and the pricing for the repair I felt was very reasonable. I have dealt with 2 other HVAC companies in the past and because of their performances, I did not call them again. I wish I could give Kirkland 6 stars instead of the max 5 allowed. There are indeed other Heating and Air Companies in the Dallas area; but there is only one Kirkland.

Chris, as the sales person, was generally quite accessible throughout the process. He had allocated two days for the installation. I noticed after the second day that the job was not fully complete, as expected in the two days (I had carpet cleaners scheduled two days later and wanted to make sure they were done). They came back for part of a third day to complete it. The installation techs were very friendly and explained things to me. It went a bit over the time expected but the job was completed well. So far the system is working marvellously.
