I was having lunch at Old Town Auburn Pizza when I looked out the window and saw a vendor fair across the street on the empty lot. So after I ate, I beelined it over to the lot. Then I noticed that the building next to the lot was the shop... Moonwalk Threads. From the outside, the building not much to look at. But as I stepped in, the shop interior, it had a modern industrial look and vibe. It is a women's clothing shop carrying stylish on trend vintage (previously loved) clothes and accessories along with some new items. The styles are young and modern (Gen Y-Zish). The quality of the vintage clothes was superb. Better than thrift shop quality, but at thrift shop prices. The shop is open on the weekends 12pm-5pm. The shop occasionally hosts local vendor fairs on the outdoor lot next to their shop. Their Instagram page has more details.

Such a cute vintage shop! Best selection of 90's/Y2K, at such affordable prices. Owner is a sweetie too - worth the stop

But as I was walking to get there, the next door shop window display caught my eye. I got momentarily side tracked. I beelined it into the shop pronto. Oh wow. Beautiful women's vintage clothes, purses, hats, scarfs, and jewelry (costume and semi precious) nicely displayed. To boot, the pricing was above Goodwill pricing but on point or lower than sellers online. Robyn's Vintage Apparel & Jewelry shop. Loved it! The merchandise is grouped by the decade. They even have vintage faux furs. The owner is also an artisan jewelry maker. Her passion for fashion and jewelry is evident. Sunday, May 17th, I found myself in downtown Auburn, after visiting old town"s vintage and antique pop-up. I walked into the store and thought-wow great merchandising! I walked around for a bit and thought what a great store. It did not seem that there were any employees there. I walked the length of the store (about 5 minutes) and found that there was a young woman at the counter. This person did not greet me, or acknowledge me in any way. They saw me, and obviously heard the click of my boots on the tile floor, they then looked me and went back to clipping their toenails(?) I asked if this was their store. They said "What?" I repeated my question, and they said "no." and I said "It shows because you did not welcome your customers." And she proceeded to say "You are welcome to leave!" And I did. There were three things I would've purchased, (their prices are pretty good), but not on that day and not with that person behind the cash register. I spoke to another shop owner in town and they mentioned that they were saddened by my interaction because apparently the owner is a very customer friendly person. I'll pop in on a day when they are there.

It's on Lincoln Street in the heart of Downtown. Street parking or a lot up the hill. It's the cutest shop!! Think brick walls, and lots of character and built in shelves.... Treasures both old and new. A great collection of vintage pieces and vintage feeling pieces. I was happy they were in Fall mode instead of already having everything Christmas out. It was beautiful and warm for autumn. They have classes and I hope to take one. There was a selection of paper ephemera for crafting, home decor, fragrances and more. Definitely worth a visit. Can't wait to go back!

When you step inside, it feels like you are stepping into Grandma's house, with book lined shelves in the entry & a period stove in the next room...it's cute, cozy and conducive to browsing all the little nooks and crannies within. The folks running the shop are volunteers. Unlike an experience I had at a volunteer staffed thrift shop on the opposite side of Auburn, these folks are all super friendly and that makes all the difference. The inventory is not huge, but items are well represented across various categories. Books, CD's, apparel,  Kitchenware, decor & a few antiques make up the majority of their items. If you're a fan of Victorian architecture and/or thrifting, you'll want to bookmark this business and visit soon!

Unfortunately, I have little patience for these types of stores. So, when my 19 year old daughter asked to stop here while passing through Auburn, I was less than thrilled. OH MY GOSH!! If every thrift store were like this one, I may convert. It is small, but they utilize every nook and cranny in the best of ways. It is neat, orderly and carries top quality used merchandise. They have quite a number of books, women's clothing, shoes and housewares. (Didn't really notice any men's clothing.) We walked out of the store having purchased a beautiful Scott McClintock "vintage" evening gown, another designer dress, 1 VERY stylish pair of vintage shoes that are currently in style, another pair of shoes, a Royal Albert teacup, a vintage glass jar and an OLD, OLD, OLD hand tatted doily for a grand total of $29. That's right! $29!!! Even my "you have enough antiques" husband was excited over our purchases. And the women who work here are so, so nice. They are helpful, friendly and kind. It was close to closing time and they didn't rush us one bit. The next time we drive by, through, near or next to Auburn, we will definitely be making another visit to St. Luke's Thrift Shop. GREAT place.

They had lots of Target brands mostly. There weren't any vintage shoes nor bags, so it's not like you'll find hidden treasures here. The only amazing items were their home goods. My local library doesn't even organize their books as well as Humane Society. I was waiting for strolling through, and saw the stacks of fiction weren't a jumbled mess. Someone actually went through and grouped them by author. The selections were pretty good too. My husband got the Steve Jobs book for just $1. You could find that online for $10 at a used rate.
