Not open on a Saturday at 2- plus looked empty, nothing except a couple chairs in the window as display I'm guessing. Would not recommend.

But as I was walking to get there, the next door shop window display caught my eye. I got momentarily side tracked. I beelined it into the shop pronto. Oh wow. Beautiful women's vintage clothes, purses, hats, scarfs, and jewelry (costume and semi precious) nicely displayed. To boot, the pricing was above Goodwill pricing but on point or lower than sellers online. Robyn's Vintage Apparel & Jewelry shop. Loved it! The merchandise is grouped by the decade. They even have vintage faux furs. The owner is also an artisan jewelry maker. Her passion for fashion and jewelry is evident. Picture now...an ensemble from the 1940s...hat with birdcage veil, smart skirt suit, fur stole, pearl necklace, and handbag...well imagine no more...get it at Robyn's. Check out this shop now!

As well as in excellent shape. Real vintage clothing. Great prices for the quality. I was in town with two of my sisters and my sister outlaw. We all decided we needed hats. Robyn was gracious in bringing down from the shelf hat after hat for me. (I don't look great in hats). Thanks for your patience and assistance Robyn! We love our hats and had fun wearing them out that night.

What a gem! We found this store last night when we attended the Auburn Fall Festival. Most of the…read morestores were closed, but I'm so happy this store was open! It's on Lincoln Street in the heart of Downtown. Street parking or a lot up the hill. It's the cutest shop!! Think brick walls, and lots of character and built in shelves.... Treasures both old and new. A great collection of vintage pieces and vintage feeling pieces. I was happy they were in Fall mode instead of already having everything Christmas out. It was beautiful and warm for autumn. They have classes and I hope to take one. There was a selection of paper ephemera for crafting, home decor, fragrances and more. Definitely worth a visit. Can't wait to go back!

Sunday, May 17th, I found myself in downtown Auburn, after visiting old town"s vintage and antique pop-up. I walked into the store and thought-wow great merchandising! I walked around for a bit and thought what a great store. It did not seem that there were any employees there. I walked the length of the store (about 5 minutes) and found that there was a young woman at the counter. This person did not greet me, or acknowledge me in any way. They saw me, and obviously heard the click of my boots on the tile floor, they then looked me and went back to clipping their toenails(?) I asked if this was their store. They said "What?" I repeated my question, and they said "no." and I said "It shows because you did not welcome your customers." And she proceeded to say "You are welcome to leave!" And I did. There were three things I would've purchased, (their prices are pretty good), but not on that day and not with that person behind the cash register. I spoke to another shop owner in town and they mentioned that they were saddened by my interaction because apparently the owner is a very customer friendly person. I'll pop in on a day when they are there.

St Lukes Victorian Attic is located in a circa 1800's little Victorian up on a hill in historic old…read moreAuburn. It's small, but worth your time. When you step inside, it feels like you are stepping into Grandma's house, with book lined shelves in the entry & a period stove in the next room...it's cute, cozy and conducive to browsing all the little nooks and crannies within. The folks running the shop are volunteers. Unlike an experience I had at a volunteer staffed thrift shop on the opposite side of Auburn, these folks are all super friendly and that makes all the difference. The inventory is not huge, but items are well represented across various categories. Books, CD's, apparel,  Kitchenware, decor & a few antiques make up the majority of their items. If you're a fan of Victorian architecture and/or thrifting, you'll want to bookmark this business and visit soon!

Firstly, I am NOT into thrift shops. Quality antique stores, yes. Thrift shops? No, (No offense…read moreto thrift shop lovers out there.) Unfortunately, I have little patience for these types of stores. So, when my 19 year old daughter asked to stop here while passing through Auburn, I was less than thrilled. OH MY GOSH!! If every thrift store were like this one, I may convert. It is small, but they utilize every nook and cranny in the best of ways. It is neat, orderly and carries top quality used merchandise. They have quite a number of books, women's clothing, shoes and housewares. (Didn't really notice any men's clothing.) We walked out of the store having purchased a beautiful Scott McClintock "vintage" evening gown, another designer dress, 1 VERY stylish pair of vintage shoes that are currently in style, another pair of shoes, a Royal Albert teacup, a vintage glass jar and an OLD, OLD, OLD hand tatted doily for a grand total of $29. That's right! $29!!! Even my "you have enough antiques" husband was excited over our purchases. And the women who work here are so, so nice. They are helpful, friendly and kind. It was close to closing time and they didn't rush us one bit. The next time we drive by, through, near or next to Auburn, we will definitely be making another visit to St. Luke's Thrift Shop. GREAT place.
