I cannot begin to tell you how AFFIRMING these brows are for a trans elder as myself who has struggled with dysphoria a lot. I struggled with how feminine my brows were for so long, and now they are even better than what I thought i could never have! The way Mashari treated my complicated gender-affirming request was gracious, kind, and honestly above and beyond the courtesy you expect as a customer anywhere. It's a big price commitment which is why it took me so long but I finally did it and I cannot be happier. I was a little nervous I would have push back on what I wanted because I wanted a very bold brow for my natural hair color and was so pleasantly surprised with how understanding and supportive of my vision Mashari was. I showed her a few photos of how I fill in my brows and she marked out the exact perfect shape on the first try. I immediately knew I was in fantastic hands. She was great and paying attention to how my face and body were reacting to the process (eyes watering, twitching, etc) so much so I didn't even notice before she did. I was shocked at how little pain I felt from the process. When I finally got to see my new brows I immediately started to cry. This is something I've wanted for a long time and she managed to make my brows so perfect. She was so kind and sweet about my emotional reaction. I really cannot overstate how comfortable she made me feel and how confident these brows make me feel. The studio is STUNNING. I am obsessed with it. Such a comfortable space. She made sure that the tattoo table was as comfortable as possible even having a knee pillow which was so nice I'm thinking of getting one for myself! She even grabbed my sweater for me to make sure I wouldn't get cold. The aftercare instructions and little goodie bag is so helpful. I really love that she gives the exact balm and soap to use. I have a few tattoos and always worry about if I'm using the correct soap and moisturizer during the healing. And with this being on my face I want it to heal as well as possible so I love that she gave me exactly what I needed. Overall this whole experience felt so luxurious to me. From the studio, to the pillows on the table, to the aftercare goodie bag, even to the bathroom! My sister used to call them my "commas" and it has always been the one feature I am most self-conscious about and most unhappy with in general. I could not leave my house until I had a full-face of makeup on and my eyebrows were perfect because my brows crippled my confidence and self-esteem so much. I have been drawing them on for 10+ years now and last year I made the commitment to have them microbladed. The artist I went to offered a "natural" look, so I thought it would be a great fit. It wasn't. I was displeased with the color, the shape (especially the tail!), the placement, and pretty much everything about my new brows even after having multiple, expensive touch-ups. I essentially ended up still drawing them on every day after I covered up the microblading with foundation and concealer. When I discovered Tessa on Instagram, I instantly fell in love with her work. The looks that she created were gorgeous, full brows that looked absolutely natural - everything I had wanted in the first place! As soon as I was able, I booked an appointment with her. I made an appointment online - very quick and easy. Closer to my date, I received an email requesting me to confirm my arrival. Upon confirmation I received an email with parking directions - be sure to follow these instructions! I was confident in where I was going but completely underestimated my ability to get here on time. (Traffic, new parking area, etc.) I ran late and received a call from Louie who was so kind and helpful on the phone. When I arrived to the salon Louie greeted me and tended to me throughout my appointment making sure I was comfortable and offered me a drink. Aaron was my stylist and did an exceptional job. I paid a total of $120 (including tip) and I have never had so many people tell me that I wasted my money.
