After a failed attempt at another walk-in space, my best friend and I ended up at All Saints on 6th. Parking was an absolute nightmare so I would recommend taking a rideshare to get to this location.    When someone talks about tattoo shops in Austin, All Saints is definitely one of those mentioned almost every time. The tattoo/piercing shop has wonderful reviews and a ton of happy patrons. The vibe in this space is very lowkey and homey. We were the first ones in for the day.   My best friend and I wanted to get complementary tattoos. We only wanted three words in Seagram each with my best friend getting hers in black and me getting mine in red. We were told it would cost extra for red ink. Fine.   After the woman working the front took the stencil print-outs to the artists, she came back and quoted us $200 each. What? We were shocked. I knew the tattoo wouldn't take more than 20-30 minutes and did not understand how my friend was quoted the same as me if "red is extra." Thus, I came to my own conclusion that pricing is completely random and up to the artist. I guess it's a game of luck?   That being said, Carlos did a wonderful job on my tattoo and Hannah did a great job on my friend's. Carlos and I had a lot to talk about as we were raised in the same city and he went to my highschool while I was also in attendance. Wild stuff!   Still, for what we got, I wouldn't have paid more than $150 + tip for this tattoo. There needs to be a length requirement or some rules and regulations for pricing (I know this is not easy). Just know you're getting very talented artists when you walk-in!   Bring your wallet! read more

Talented artists, but overall way too expensive, and the owner Jon is far from a good businessman. Fella gets offended by any negative feedback posted on here and offers little to no help. Not only did I get price gouged at the chair AFTER my session (for a palm sized design receptionist said $150, artist said $450), but I had ink I'm allergic to put in my skin here after stating black ink only. The only thing Jon had to offer was his opinion that it was it was my fault because I didn't tell the artist directly, even though the front desk lady wrote down black for ink color. I've NEVER had this problem at another shop, and when stated Jon said I should go see my "cheaper side pieces" then. What a great salesman Jon is! Much better alternatives: * 512 tattoo * Austin Tattoo Company (N Lamar & Research) * Electric 13 * Atomic Tattoo (right next door to AS North) The owners of most of these shops still tattoo daily or are at least in the shop, and don't just profit off of their artists. My family spent the weekend in Austin celebrating a 40th birthday and first time visits for a few of us. We wanted to get tattoos to commemorate the fun weekend so we found All Saints online and decided to check it out. This location is so cute and the artists available were so welcoming! I walked in on a Saturday 5 mins after opening, gave the receptionist a picture of the small tattoo design I wanted & was told the tattoo artist would begin my tattoo within 35 mins. The receptionist informed me the tattoo artist would be able to do my tattoo which was a design is a small date I wanted on my shoulder. After patiently waiting 2 hours, the tattoo artist rudely told me " I don't want to do it, the tattoo is too hard to do and I should of booked an appointment". Please keep in mind that they ONLY take walk-ins on the weekend, told them we were in Austin visiting for my spouse's birthday and they would able to do it. Please be cautious visiting this shop. They are extremely inconsiderate, inconsistent and discriminatory. No apology was given and they display lack of care. Save your money and time and choose a different tattoo shop. Walked in for an appointment at 5 pm on a Wednesday with my mom for her first tattoo and my third. We were immediately served and John got to work on our tattoos after consultation. On first impression, I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the shop. The flash tattoo selection is great for inspiration. John was easy to talk to. During the process of sketching, he talked me through it and gave me recommendations. I really appreciated that as I like to see the artist express their own creativity into the piece. My sister and I wanted matching tattoos (a bit of a cliche, I know) and my friend was getting her dad's signature tattooed on her wrist. Came in for a walk in. Lazy whatever attitude guy at front. Gave him my design and he printed it out and I said I'd like it smaller. He adjusted the size and came back saying he couldn't go any smaller, when he obviously could because there were tattoos on design sheets that were smaller and he obviously just resized it on the printer. Over charged me for a simple tattoo design. My friend's tattoo was more detailed and she was charged the same price. Another guy came in, who previously got a tattoo from the owner a while back, got a design more complex than mine and was charged less. They literally just charged what they feel like. Definitely passive aggressive and rude in my opinion. I came in for a small tattoo to fill in my sleeve. The woman working there quoted me $120 for a UFO tattoo that was already drawn. Then I mention color and it's $200. When I came in they were eating tacos, cool I get that we have to eat at work. But it was really feeling like no one wanted to work. I end up agreeing to the $200 tattoo (which is crazy because I literally have one below it that was half the price somewhere else) but, whatever. I don't argue with artists about their work. I had to go to my car to get my wallet, making sure to show the receptionist I had taken out the money, just to be met with what was later described as jokes (which I didn't think was appropriate, seeing there already was an air of attitude). Before the tattoo starts, I ask about colors (which I had already discussed with the lady I gave the money to), hence the $200 to be told it'd be an extra $50. I kinda feel like I shouldn't have gotten it because the artist didn't even tell me his name. The tattoo took all of about 20 min, but I won't be back. I don't go anywhere I don't feel like my service is valued and unfortunately I have that experience a lot around Austin.
