Congrats to Hannah and the team at Moonstones Pilates Studio on their soft opening.
I had the chance to attend one of their complimentary early morning classes and took the 7 AM session with Kamree. Hannah, the owner, was the one who checked me in, and both she and Kamree were warm, accommodating, and welcoming from the start. I also appreciated that clients could choose whichever reformer they preferred in the room rather than being assigned a spot.
The studio itself is beautiful. They use custom-made Gratz-style reformers, so if you appreciate classical Pilates equipment, this is a notable detail. The machines feature vegan leather straps and wooden handles, which gave everything a very refined, elevated feel. You can tell everything is brand new and thoughtfully curated.
It also makes sense once you learn the owners are behind LOAM Wellness & Spa next door. That same luxury wellness aesthetic carries over into Moonstones. Even the bathroom stood out with a moody, spa-like atmosphere that made the space feel especially polished.
Functionally, the studio felt well designed too. Once the fans were on, the room stayed well ventilated even during a sweatier session, which I always notice and appreciate in Pilates studios.
Since it was still soft opening, I think many people did not realize the 7 AM slot was available compared to the more popular 8 AM and 9 AM classes. Because of that, class ended up feeling like a semi-private duet session with just me and one other client, which honestly felt like a hidden perk. Smaller sessions are incredibly valuable because you get much more individualized attention, better form corrections, and more personalized modifications throughout class.
Kamree did a great job cueing and observing form, and I felt like I got much more out of the session than I typically would in a fuller class.
I would definitely return, especially since it is so close to home. Moonstones feels like a lovely addition to the Pilates scene in the valley, particularly for those who appreciate classical-style equipment and a more intimate boutique experience. Wishing this local studio continued success. read more
