    Spirit of Dio on stage

The exterior looks like the starting point of a bad decision, which is how you know it's a perfect dive. Once you get past the 'haunted building' aesthetic, you're greeted with heavy-handed pours and an unpretentious crowd. We saw Spirit of Dio band which melted our faces. Wow, just wow! Our server, Tiffany, was absolutely fantastic. Best bar food around with huge and freshly made portions. 10/10

Drinks are cheap. Service can be outstanding. The crowd can be a little seedy, but always entertaining. Music is fun. Trivia night (Tuesdays) can be a blast. They allow cigarettes to be smoked inside, but I heard that will End this summer.

Since moving to Tucker this by far is my favorite place to go. Everyone is friendly here, the food is amazing, and the beer prices are fantastic. Starting off, the people. Our server Erika has always been really nice and funny, even on slow nights she has time to talk with us and make jokes about things. Nikki a waiter is also very friendly and talkative. It seems all of the waitresses here are very attractive. The atmosphere of the place is good too. Live bands nearly every night especially on weekends. No big name groups just yet but local talent and some good live music always go well. They also have typical touch screen bar games as well as Keno and some slot machines. They recently renovated the place to have a larger area to fit their big screens and multiple widescreens. You'll actually be Shocked at how damn clean the bathrooms are too. The food. A friend of mine has eaten at many countries around the world and he claims this is by far the best steak he has ever eaten. Not only is the flavor amazing on every bite but you can literally SEE how well its cooked based on how you like your steak cooked. They also grill out here once a month on a Friday and cook snow crab legs and other foods and sell it at a low combo price. Tilapia here is so good here a friend of mine claimed she had a Food Orgasm. Shrimp Quesadillas may sound strange at first but they taste great. There has honestly not been a single thing on the menu that wasn't anything short of perfect. Moonshadow also has a thing you can order called The Tower. Its nearly 3 gallons of beer in a tall keg you can order for your table. It serves about 4 people and you can have any beer on the menu here. All local beers, terrapin, Sweetwater 420 and domestics are served here. The price is really good on this considering how much beer they fit in the tower. Therese no reason MoonShadow shouldn't be the #1 bar in tucker. It has everything you could want in a dive bar with the best food around.

    Just another Monday night!

This is my home away from home! I absolutely love this place, everyone is so nice. When I'm having a bad day at work, or a break from class, this is my spot. The food is on point and the girls behind the bar know how to make me feel at home. BEST spot in Tucker by far!

Looks a little sketchy from outside and surrounding area, but don't worry it's a good place! Discovered this place via yelp, searching for a dinner location anout halfway between Decatur and Lawrenceville, as we were meeting friends and neither of us wanted to travel too far. Seeking economical choice with good food & drinks. Mission accomplished here! Wasn't our first choice. Dining on a Monday is hard, as so many restaurants are closed. But it turned out to be an excellent choice, as we loved our apps, drinks and meals. Had a nice size table with plenty of room in the quieter dining area in the back, away from the bar and TVs. There are TVs in back area as well, just not as many. Started with the nachos with beef chili, and the blackened brussel sprouts. Both were delicious and gone quickly! I had the cheeseburger salad. After all this deep fried, heavy southern food and grits, wanted something a little lighter. The portion was huge, and it was delicious. Onion rings were delicious. Huge plate for a side dish. Others had various wraps, and everyone loved their meals. Good tap beer selection. We had a variety of cold ones. If you're in the area looking for a good local, affordable place to have a meal or drinks, pick this spot. Its family friendly as well.

Incredible across the board. I'm not even a big fish guy, but I got the fish and chips and loved it. That alone says a lot. Spinach dip loved it. Fish tacos loved them. Dessert loved it. Beer loved it. There's a ton of variety on the menu, and everything we tried delivered. That kind of consistency is rare. Service was over-the-top good. Attentive, friendly, and added to the whole experience. Price felt exactly right for a date night spot not cheap, but definitely worth it for the quality. Couldn't be happier with this one. I'll absolutely be back. Overall: Easy 5/5 no hesitation.

You go in and it's a little bit dark and they have TV so you can watch sports but it's nothing fancy but it gets straight to the point. You park outside and have your own parking lot so you have to worry about that but it's very friendly and all the bartenders are really friendly as well. I had been one time and they acted like they were trying to get to know me and I appreciate it that customer service. I just came in for a quick meal to get my macros together, so I got the brussel sprouts and a chicken wrap. The chicken wrap was pretty good. Nothing crazy or nothing amazing or not. Nothing special, but it was still pretty good. The fries were steak fries, cooked pretty well. The brussel sprouts were good. They host Team Trivia every Thursday at 8pm which can be difficult for a younger group, but is still fun. The ambiance of the bar is great. It's definitely a little limited on seating but that allows the bar to have a cozy vibe and really feel like you're in a British Pub. The bar also has some golf arcade games if trivia isn't your thing. Staffing can sometimes be a little light, but when staying for a while and playing trivia it isn't too noticeable. Most of the food is typical bar food and for all my previous visits it was decent but nothing special. However, on my most recent visit I tried their signature meatloaf and it was a level above all the other food and something I will definitely get again. Overall, I think The King George Tavern provides an excellent experience for a trivia night with friends, and I'll continue going back.

Two at the bar one and two at the tables. The decor is dark and moody , as a pub should be. It has a bit of mystery with music playing on a jukebox that you can access through an app. There are bicycles mounted in the front windows showcasing a sporty vibe with Atlanta United scarves and jerseys mounted on the racks and walls near by. Seat yourself is the motto as you enter. We sat in two booth and tables closest to the bar. The pub lost its adult only feel as locals with young kids arrived and sat around us. The Army Navy game was playing in a few tvs so that helped to hold the sports bar mode. We received menus and find it a little hard to see without our phone flash lights. Yes, it's dark in here there are no over head lights. ( use your phone) After looking the menu over I tried the steak and fries cooked medium- pure perfection ;along with the Cesar salad was great. I don't need to tell the locals they should show up I believe they are mostly seated and dining already. The food and service are exceptional.
