Love moon doggies the ladies are fantastic. And my little guy is obnoxious. Lol. They take great care of my baby.,

Terrible experience. Before I dropped my dog off, I explained that she doesn't like being groomed and that whoever groomed her before I adopted her may have given her a bad experience. They assured me they could work with her. After I dropped her off, they even called and asked for permission to put a muzzle on her so they could continue. I also offered to stay and help comfort my dog during the grooming, but they told me it wasn't necessary. About two hours later, I received a call to come pick her up. When I saw her, I was shocked. She looked terrible. They didn't even groom her face, and she had multiple cuts on her ears and face. To make matters worse, she was still wet when they handed her back to me. They told me my dog was aggressive, but at no point did anyone call to let me know they were unable to safely complete the grooming. Instead, they waited until I arrived and then tried to charge me extra because they said it took two people to work on her. I have a 1-year-old Maltipoo who is incredibly sweet and loving. I understand she gets anxious during grooming, which is exactly why I was upfront about her behavior from the beginning. I expected patience, communication, and professionalism--not for my dog to come home injured and with an incomplete groom. I will not be returning. Not only that, but the groomer who worked on my dog was extremely rude and unprofessional, and the owner of the shop allowed the disrespectful behavior. She repeatedly kept telling me my dog was "bad," constantly talked over me, and spoke to me in an aggressive tone when I was simply trying to explain that the additional charge should have been communicated beforehand. They had no problem calling me to ask permission to use a muzzle and informing me there would be an extra charge for that, so they should have shown the same courtesy when they decided to charge me more because two people had to work on my dog. Instead, they waited until I arrived to tell me, which was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. And then they had the nerve to try to charge me $125 for a groom that wasn't even completed. My dog's face wasn't done, she came back with cuts on her ears and face, and she was still wet when they handed her to me. Based on the way the groomer spoke to me--being rude, aggressive, and repeatedly calling my dog "bad"--I left with very little confidence that my dog was treated with the patience and care she deserved. My dog is a sweet, loving 1-year-old Maltipoo who gets anxious during grooming, and I was transparent about that from the very beginning. I expected compassion and professionalism, not poor communication, disrespect, and an incomplete groom. i wouldnt even give a star but i have to! read more

The people working are not professionals, no professional care for the dogs or grooming. Yelling at dogs to "shut up" and being rude with that energy made me come out and post this. Pet owners beware!!! read more

Staff are always phenomenal, and our big rottie loves them! They do very well with her every time

I've been coming here for years paying their prices just for them to hurt my five year old dog on three separate occasions, two of them during the same visit. I really loved this place, but they cut my dog's nails so short that he stubbed his toe and it just started gushing blood out of a nail. On top of that, they scratched his cornea in a way that warranted a vet visit. Granted, they paid for it, but I would've much preferred he not need medical attention in the first place. I no longer feel safe bringing my dog to this establishment. read more

The Moondoggies crew is the absolute best. There is no one else I would trust leaving my for baby with. My chihuahua and my lab love them

I don't recommend using this groomer. I went in for a Puppy Cut and she got a Puppy Buzz. We have done this ourselves and been happier knowing that we unlike Moondoggie's would have not done such an uneven buzz cut. Her one eyebrow is still over her eye on one side and her tail is silly looking. When I made the appointment they told me $55. and after this "whatever" I was charged $65.00. Bottom line, Moondoggie's bites! read more

My go to place for my two dog's get groomed, nails trimmed, teeth brushed, and anal glands expressed. Employees are very personable and remember you and your puppers. Came here for years, and one of my dogs passed and they still remember him till this day. It's cute because when I get them back, they always place a cute bow on their halters. Prices are reasonable and they give you a call within about 1-2 hours when your pup is done. Thank you moondoggies! Notes: Closed on Sundays and Mondays! read more

Love this groomer! My German Shepherd is hard to handle and they work great with her!

Brought my 4 year old baby boy German shepherd/Belgian Malinois for his very first grooming experience and he left with the biggest most confident smile. The employees noted they had no issues with him at all, which was amazing to hear as I had no idea how he would react. Everyone there seemed to love what they do on the daily, it shows through their work and how happy my dog left the shop. Very friendly and willing to answer any concerns. Took him in at 9am, he was done at 2pm. Zero complaints because it gave me time to give him a clean and tidy backyard to come home to:). I will be bringing him for routine visits most definitely. read more

This is my Huxley's go to spot for the last 3 years! When we first got him he was a rescue pup and had never been to the groomers. We took him to multiple grooming spas that didn't treat him well or traumatized him more. Huxley has gotten extremely comfortable with staffing here and is no longe fearful of going to the groomers. 100% would recommend them read more

Omg I love the way they did my little Snoh's grooming. I'm in LA and came back home to visit my parents. My mom was basically calling me out for not getting Snoh groomed before I got there. I found this place and I will definitely be coming back once a month for her grooming. They don't take forever with your dog, I hate the places that keep your dog a whole working shift. It's so cruel. The groomer listened to me on style of cut as well. She looks like a cotton ball!!! I'm obsessed read more

Such a great experience with this groomer. Affordable, timely, and attentive. They did a wonderful job deshedding both of my dogs and even removed embedded fleas that one of them had in their ears that I hadn't even noticed. Also, my German shepherd is extremely shy and stand-off ish of people at first. She went right up to the woman who took her back for her grooming and let her pet her. She must have had a great vibe because she typically isn't like that. Overall, great place to take your pup. read more

I recently moved to this part of town and was looking for a new Groomers for my Great Pyrenees. So i went to Moondoggies Spa to give it a try because of the good reviews. I asked them to cut my Great Pyrenees Hair as short as possible for that style of dog. Knowing that a Great Pyrenees hair can only be trimmed and not shaved because the double coat helps them. You can obviously tell they had no experienced with that type of dog and went I picked her up the whole hair was shaved off! Never again going there! read more

I left a voice mail to inquire about getting my dog groomed. I did a call back the next morning but was told if she needed a haircut, they would not be able to do it for 10 days. However, if she just needed a bath & brush they could do it either day I mentioned in my voicemail. Why does it take 10 days for a grooming? Don't think I'll give the opportunity to explain. read more

This shop is amazing and I definitely recommend! I had a hard time selecting a groomer for my 8 month, very nervous German Shepherd. They were very understanding, patient, and loving and even gave me recommendations for how to help her with her anxiety. They did tell me she tried to fear bite, and were extremely accommodating and handled her very well. She smelled and looked great after. The cost was very reasonable, and service was a little long but i can only imagine it was difficult to work with such a nervous pup. For nails trimmed, deshedding, washing, and anal gland expressed, cost me $64 (not including tip). Thank you so much for your amazing service and a positive experience with Val! read more

I have taken my Golden Retriever here three times. Each time I pick him up, his coat is super soft and clean. His ears are trimmed and clean, and his nails are nicely clipped! They do a great job for the most part. The only issue I've had is that the last two times my dog has come back with bad razor burn near his private area. There hasn't been any infection but he licks the area excessively and I can tell he's not very comfortable. I mentioned this to the staff the last time I took him and they said "Ok, thanks for letting us know!" But nothing else, no solutions; and sure enough, he came back with razor burn. Not sure if I will be bringing him back. read more

Moondoggies did it again! We love them! Same day appointments, and pups are perfectly clean and calm when I pick them up. Good place, good people, good prices. They always take care of my dog in a good timely manner.

In love with the way my little Annie looks. I called on a Saturday morning, wanting to make an appointment for the next spot they had available. The lady on the phone told me to come right in. When I arrived, I was asked for new client information...INCLUDING my dog's age, which I was thrilled about. At 12 years old, Annie is much more fragile than what she was years ago. I was asked the haircut I wanted for her, and was told she would be ready around 2 PM (I'll be honest..I did hope to pick her up sooner, but not a big deal). I got a call around 1 PM to pick up Annie, and the groomer asked if I wanted a bow on her, and what color I would like, which I also loved. When I picked her up, she looked exactly the way I wanted her!!! Previous groomers that I've taken Annie to never actually cut her hair the way I ask, and end up shaving her all the way down. The groomer let me know that she tried her best to get the cut right because Annie was so rambunctious, which was no surprise since she's never sat still for any groomer. Price was nothing more than I expected. $52 for a full grooming service, and she looks perfect. Can't wait to bring my other ones here! read more

The cost is too high for what you get. They didn't do the undercoat which should always be done with long-haired breeds like mine, especially during shedding season. I was underwhelmed and won't be going back. I'm going to drive a little further to another place that I trust. Bummer because this was close to my home. read more

Very clean and cute shop. They did an amazing job with my puppies. So happy to have found my doggies their groomer.

UPDATE! After my previous conversation with one of the employees (described in initial review), the owner called me herself. She was very kind and empathetic, offered care suggestions, offered a free hypoallergenic bath and to clean the wound with hydrogen peroxide (I wasn't able to make it, but took her suggestions and did this myself), and was overall very concerned about my dog and what had happened. I am extremely appreciative that she reached out and will definitely consider coming back to this salon in the future. read more

This was my first time getting my little Leia groomed with the ladies over at Moondoggies. I'm so happy I was able to get an appointment( they are very busy make sure you make an appointment). I dropped off Leia around 830 AM and mentioned that I had to work later in the afternoon and asked if my friend could pick her up after. The nice woman (whose name I forgot lol) let me know it was not going to be an issue. Leia had been groomed in the past with Petco and it had been a while since I had gotten her groomed. She had areas where she was matted and coming home to groomed clean Leia made me super happy. They did such a great job and I opted for an moisturizer and teeth cleaning.
