The guy helping us was super friendly and kind! He was super quick and it felt like talking to a friend than just another worker. Okay on to the bread and pastries, I love that blue corn masa sourdough. I just have no words it is so soft and pillowy but with the nice sourdough kick and smells heavenly from the blue corn! The rosemary focaccia was so flavorful as well, for me it is on the oiler side but normal for focaccias! the roasted tomato pastry is just so freaking good. Recommended by my best friend but i def would have bought a dozen of them! it was so savory with lots of umami and if you toast it or air fry it a little bit, it just elevates it!

I saw an ad for their four-day labor of love panettone and since I was in town, placed a pre-order. It comes in its own branded orange box (move over, Hermes), wrapped up and ready to celebrate. Or just bring home and share with family, like I did. Flavor profile was sweet pandan generously folded into the fermented gluten with bits of white chocolate on top for texture and tied together with its coconut almond glaze. Not your holiday Costco panettone, that's for sure. It is priced accordingly for the effort ($65+). Pick up was a little harrowing because the space is small and parking in front is limited--park a few blocks away. The store itself is popping and tiny--the line goes out the door. But once inside, you have to marvel at the multiple ovens, the whole loaves, the busyness behind the counter. I tried the blue corn sourdough loaf and it tastes like corn tortilla but it's bread! And a slab of rosemary focaccia that was devoured within the hour. They also sell fancy sardines and olive oil to go with your loaves. When in Santa Ana, put this place on your must-try list. They also sell fresh coffee which I didn't have a chance to try this time.

The cream is super smooth and filled with actual durian pulp--no artificial flavor at all. The sponge is so light and fluffy that it almost melts in your mouth, and it pairs perfectly with the rich, fruity durian cream. I already love fresh durian and durian ice cream, but this was my first time trying a durian cake, and it completely exceeded my expectations. The 6-inch cake was $68, so it's definitely a treat, but I'd happily buy it again. Just make sure to order a few days ahead. The service was amazing too. Since it was our anniversary, they added a cute "Happy Anniversary" sign to the cake at no extra charge. When we picked it up, they even reminded us to head straight home because the summer heat could affect the cake. You can tell they genuinely care about the quality of their cakes and want customers to enjoy them at their best. Definitely coming back to try more flavors!

The sandwiches made in-house are also recommended especially the chicken katsu and the assorted ham/tuna/egg salad. I like the croquette and egg salad in a bun especially. All of these are savory and flavorful yet subtle. I also recommend any of the pastries including curry pan, melon pan, and of course the strawberry croissants but beyond that I also really like the strawberry banana croissant and blueberry croissant. There is also a selection of drinks made in-house café-style as well as bottled Japanese drinks. The staff are friendly and I really like the space even though it's small. You can find seating outside especially if you avoid rush hours. Of all the three locations, this one is my favorite because it's so rustic and historic and really fits in with the overall vibe and aesthetic of Old Town Tustin and the El Camino Real. Please check this bakery out; it's one of the best in all of SoCal in my opinion.

Many of them contain alcohol, which makes it difficult for families with children, as well as guests who don't consume alcohol for personal or religious reasons. I really hope Cream Pan will consider offering more alcohol-free versions so everyone can enjoy these beautiful desserts. We love coming here and would love to see more options for all guests.

I wanted to try a slice first and it was $5, $40 for the small. Really good, tasty cream and fresh fruit. One minor thing was the customer service could be better, maybe it was just an off day. After perusing, we greeted the counter and asked for a cake slice. Contemplating, I asked my partner if we should get 1 or 2 slices. The interaction was impatient and irritable as she described the prices. Unfortunately I think when we walked up, it was bad timing as we accidentally interrupted her break :(

Usually parking here isn't too bad if you're staying for less than an hour and easy to walk over to the dessert shop. Baked Banhs is located in the 4th street food market, one of the first shops you'll see if you're coming from the parking lot. Note the hours before you come (for instance, they're closed on Sundays and Mondays). And note that they seem to usually sell out of certain items by the days end. We've tried a number of different items here now including four of their canelés and their basque cheesecake. The cheesecake was solid. But we really loved their canelés. They are soft/moist on the inside with a nice crunch. And the different flavors really come through. Our favorite is the black sesame - not only is there black sesame peppered on the top but also in the center with a nice black sesame cream. It's so good and delicious. Four canelés cost $16 and thought they were well worth the price. Again, it's so sad to hear that Baked Banhs is closing soon so if you're a fan of canelés or other desserts, recommended to come sooner than later to try this out! We really hope they reopen again elsewhere or do a lot of pop-ups soon.

I like everything - I've tried nearly all of their pastries and cakes, this time I tried the cinnamon roll- which was insanely good, soft, and tasted of such quality. I highly recommend everything they have - but just to name a new, the guava cream cheese, cinnamon cream cheese, mixed berry bateau, opera cake, vanilla scone, any of their croissants, lemon tiramisu, and the jamon sandwich is incredible - I love that the bread had a chewy texture, which is perfect for this sandwich.
