In years past, this was quite a lively place with several product vendors. In the last coupe of years, it's very tiny. For me, I love plums, peaches, nectarines in the summer. Once in a while, there is a good singer guitar player entertaining the small crowd. It's a decent alternative if you can't go to the Thursday Farmer's Market at the Fairgrounds which is closed during the OC County fair from mid July to mid August. Price for the produce was #3.50 a lb. for the fruits this time but subject to change (increase). I don't remember if it was Organic, but I always soak my purchased fruit in baking soda and water for 30 minutes just in case there are pesticide residues to very dirty hands before I eat it. They also have vegetables, a honey vendor, and some food. Just an OK experience for me. Parking is easy until he surrounding stores open.

Lots of pre-cooked food options available so make sure to come hungry to try them all. The ones that are honorable mentions: the coffee booth that serves unique flavored lattes, the empanadas station (it is so moist and different than I've ever had anywhere else! - would highly recommend!), and the tamale station (most popular station I would say and I know why. The tamales are very flavorful and moist. The hot sauce also compliments it very well. Would highly recommend!) There were other cool spots that I would want to try next time: Cold Noodles, Filipino food, and a Mexican Zamba juice beverage booth and others! I like this farmers market mainly for the chicken eggs (kind reminder to NOT buy white eggs from the lady here. Her white egg yolk is not rich in color or flavor. It's what I would buy non-organic everywhere else. Look at my pic for reference), fresh produce, and berries/fruits! They sell lots of other things like hummus, hot sauce, fun activities, and more! I was worried at first as I saw mostly vegetables, which wasn't what I was there for. But when you move to the other side there are a lot of local businesses selling their goods and I ended up buying a few things I never would have anticipated (dips, sauces, etc.). Parking is super convenient (and free, which is interesting with the fair going on parking in the same lot and paying for it). The vibe seems super local. At multiple points people told me the stall I was at was great, had great stuff, etc. And also at multiple points other patrons interacted with the vendors like friends. You can tell that these people go here weekly and support these small businesses/vice-versa, which is really nice to see.

The downside is that you should be careful while choosing berries - sometimes there can be mold (though this can happen in any store). And that there's a credit card processing fee. On the day that I went there were two stands selling fresh produce, and about five of them selling hot food. The rest were selling homemade bread, nuts, kefir, salsa, honey, etc. Beware that it could be a little challenging to park as it's shared with the hospital.

On February 28, my friends and I asked an employee near the office where the ATM was. She ignored us at first, and later we saw her walk past us with another employee while laughing and directing racial slurs toward our group. On March 7, we encountered the same employee again and she once again shouted racially offensive language toward us. Then on March 8, the situation escalated. As she walked past us, she hit my shoulder while passing by and yelled racial slurs in both English and Spanish. I reported the incidents through OCC's complaint system but had not received a response before the third incident occurred, which is extremely concerning. The employee's name is Karen L. I'm sharing this as a caution to other minority customers. No one should experience harassment or discrimination from staff at a public marketplace.
