The small size comes with rice, but not with side of egg rolls fyi. Came out literally in minutes. Extremely flavorful, and well cooked. Beef was tender and the green beans were bright green and a little bit crunchy, so I know it was cooked fresh and not sitting under a light somewhere. The best Chinese food I've had in a long time! The place is very clean, they got our food out fast, and everything was very fresh! And it's a ton of food for the price. I got a small honey chicken with fried rice. The fried rice was so flavorful, I could've just eaten that! The chicken was DELICIOUS and all white meat. My mom got the Springfield Cashew Chicken, and she said it was the best Cashew Chicken she's found outside of Springfield. We also got an order of crab rangoons. They were light and crispy and the filling wasn't just cream cheese - it had great flavor. We will definitely return! read more

I probably won't go back to this place and seriously don't understand the high rating people are giving?? I'm wondering if people in Lenexa know good Chinese food?? I ordered a small pork lo mein and asked if I could add mushrooms and a small egg drop soup was told my total was $8 something. I came to pick it up and was then told "I forgot to tell you it costs extra for mushrooms so it will be $1.00 more" I thought that was a little silly but paid it and went on my way. I get back to the office and dump out the very melted styrofoam container into a bowl and find the equivalent of literally less than one whole mushroom in the whole serving of lo mein, also less than a 1/8 cup of meat. The only other vegetables in the lo mein were onions, 2 pieces of water chestnut (I know because I hate them and picked them out...also who the heck puts water chestnuts in lo mein??) and a VERY tiny amount (like maybe 3 strands) of Napa cabbage. The taste was bland and I had to add a ton of siracha and soy sauce to not just taste like a bowl of noodles. The soup.... oh god it was horrific! It was a thick, flavorless, gelatinous goo. It wasn't even really liquid it slid off the spoon in blobs! Save your time and money and go down the street to Fortune Palace they make great food and soup there! read more

I was craving egg drop soup so bad on this really cold day. So I ordered a cup and they give me this brown soup. I dont know if this is their version of egg drop, but imagine my big disappointment that the soup tasted horrible. If I could give 0 stars, I would. My friend is a deployed military wife with twins and they refuse to deliver her when they are the ones who have made the mistake. They told her that she cannot receive deliveries when they were willing to deliver to my house which is further away. They also have not made sure their orders are correct and get upset when a customer asks to be refunded for undelivered items which have been paid for by the customer. As a friend of the US military, I deplore you to not use this restaurant. read more

Moon Wok is actually pretty good. They have delivery, catering, take out/carry out, and even dine in. They are open 7 days a week. They are located in the same strip as Holy Land Cafe behind Taco Bell. The menu has coupons for free crab rangoon (w/$25 purchase) or free egg roll (w/$20 purchase). You can only use 1 per visit. My family received a menu in the mail advertising this new Chinese place so we decided to dine in to try this place out. The interior is nicely renovated and clean. It's actually quite quaint with several tables and a few booths. Right as we walked in, we were greeted by the owners. They are pretty friendly. You can tell that they are excited and eager to serve the customers here. When dining in, you're supposed to go up to the counter and order your food there. There's even a sign right at the front door giving you directions. We actually missed reading the sign so we spent some time trying to figure out if we order at the counter first or if we just sit down first. The food came out piping hot. Literally almost burned my tongue but it was delicious, and I was hungry. The food is served on disposable plates so it's easy to clean up after yourself...just chuck it all into the trash. All four of our meals were portioned and seasoned well. Overall, this place is actually pretty good as far as Chinese takeout places go. In fact, it's more receptive to dining in, compared to other takeout places. The interior is new and super clean and the decor is nice (the canvas photos on the wall are beautiful). I definitely like this place. It's about as good as you can find of the "fast food" variety of Chinese restaurants. That said, you're going to get paper plates and plastic utensils, even if you are dining in. There is one thing I have to give special mention to - the dumplings. Great dumplings have to hit on all cylinders for me. It goes without saying, they can't be mass-produced, frozen and shipped... The filling has to be right, the dough, the way they prepare them... Also, the sauce has to be right. Moon Wok has a 5-star dumpling appetizer, including the best dumpling sauce I've had in the area. I still maintain that the best Chinese restaurant in the Johnson County area is right across the street from them - Fortune Palace. And because they are just as fast, and you can have a more pleasant dine-in or carry out or delivery experience - for me, I'm eating over there. The trappings of this place are very modern and chic for a hole in the wall Chinese restaurant. 3 booths and 6 tables seem like the right amount of seating. Coke products are on tap. With all that being said, just had the best fried shrimp in as long as I can remember. Perfectly fried, fantastic flavor, and the right portion for an appetizer. Sweet and sour chicken was cooked perfectly too (though I forgot to order without the green pepper...which tends to add a weird/not great flavor/my bad). Rice was steamed properly. When we called to get our right order they basically told us that we could keep it and get a discount on a future order. When I asked if they were going to adjust the bill for the inconvenience, they said that they were already giving us a free entree so that should be enough. Moon Wok does not support veterans or their families. I have order from them three times. They delivered twice, the third time they refused to deliver. The only reason they refused delivery was because I had a complaint. As a mother of twin baby girls, with a full time job and going to school for my masters, I know it doesn't sound like my hands aren't that full in life but my husband is deployed in Iraq, so this is why I prefer delivery.
