I have been in my new home just a year now. The neighborhood is one of those where they cut down all the trees before building then give you a token tree or 2 in the front yard. I spent the first year deciding what I wanted to do to transform the backyard. I recently purchased 6 trees from Moon Valley Nurseries after seeing advertisements on TV. I visited the Spring location where I was met by Jessica Quintana. I told her what I was thinking of for my project, and she showed by all around the property. She was quite helpful as I selected my trees. She made the experience so fun. I received a call the day before planting giving me a 2 hour window when to expect the crew to arrive with my beautiful trees. The day of planting, Demetris Guzman called within my window to let me know that they should arrive within about 30 minutes. They arrived on time and got to work. The crew was amazing and Mr. Guzman explained every step to me as well as how to take care of the trees going forward. They were so quick and efficient. The trees were perfectly placed, fertilized, staked, watered and mulched. Mr. Guzman was so personable and so knowledgeable. I really enjoyed visiting with him while the project was being completed. He even followed up later that night to see if I was satisfied with the job. Clay Brown also kept in touch via email making sure I was happy with the process. I am beyond thrilled with my purchase. My yard is so much more pleasant. I can't wait for the birds to find their way to my beautiful backyard! My dog is so happy to have the shade from the trees. We will be spending lots of time outside now. I also have the maintenance plan so I am looking forward to having Moon Valley come out to care for my investment going forward to insure my trees stay healthy and beautiful. I loved all the plants that my salesperson/designer chose for my front yard beds; they are beautiful. However, there were about twice as many plants as I needed to make my bed beautiful. My salesperson/designer did ask me for a budget, but I told her "just make it pretty". To me "pretty" doesn't mean cramming as many plants in a small bed as possible, especially since there was a tree and a rosebush that was already existing. The price was about $4,100 for 48 plants! I called my salesperson and had her remove nine of the plants from my order, and it was still way too many plants. Plants that were suppose to be planted 2-3 feet apart were planted 9" apart. The delivery and installation was on a Monday, and I knew when the guys left that it just didn't look right. I called Moon Valley on Wednesday and told them I was unhappy with my installation, that the plants were crammed into one side very close together and there was almost nothing on the other side of the bed. After sending over some pictures they agreed to come out on Saturday; very pleased with the quick turn-around! The guys showed up for the install and Demetris Guzman was in charge of making me happy! We worked together trying to figure out what plants go where, and when we were done, it was "beautiful", just what I wanted! I was searching the internet to find a store that carried a unique tree. I called Moon Valley just to inquire. The gentleman who answered the phone was Matthew, he was so very personable and friendly. He let me know that they did have what I was looking for and then he told me that they were having a wonderful sale on trees today!!! He told me he would go in the back and text me your let me know more about what they had in stock. So, ok... and I thought that was the end and I wouldn't hear back. A few minutes later I received pictures and prices! It was exactly what I was looking for. I asked a question, and he responded in a timely manner! Outstanding customer service!! I got in my car to go take a look at the trees and check out the sale! When I arrived Ben greeted me upon entering the premises. Asked me what I was looking for them gave me a ride to the trees and showed me around!! I told him what I wanted, he picked up the tree drove us to the front, told me about what I needed for the tree and a few amazing services available and the. Checked me out, put the tree in my vehicle and I was in my way!!! Wow! Exactly what I wanted! Great sale price! And quick service!!! The tree was gorgeous!!!! I will definitely be back! Bryan Kennedy is amazing! We have a decent size backyard and have been daydreaming about what to do with it. We went by Moon Valley Nurseries last Saturday because we learned they sell bigger and extensive varieties of trees. We walked in and instantly connected with Bryan and he took us on a tour of the expansive property showing us trees and getting to know our preferences. His knowledge is impressive and by the time we left we ordered 3 trees which will get planted next week. In addition to Bryan's knowledge, his follow up and customer service go above and beyond what I expected. He actually came to our house to help us determine where to plant the trees, and even had the utilities and gas company come out to mark the lines. I also love that we will have ongoing tech support for an entire year to ensure our trees' success. I couldn't be happier. We now have a "tree and plant" expert we can ask questions to, purchase plants and trees from, and know exactly what we are getting. For anyone looking for a nursery that will provide total care, Moon Valley is your go to nursery. Yes, the expense is higher, however, if you buy right the first time it only hurts once, a motto we consistently live by. My husband and I have had such a kind and professional experience throughout, from Jessica the sales associate, Cody who oversees the planting of the trees and provides encourage and additional tips for keeping our precious trees alive. His crew worked hard, cleaned up after themselves. On July 15 Mr. Guzman and his crew came to our house. He called ahead and texted to let us know they were on their way. I did not see his notification while I was helping to clean our church. When I called him, apologizing for missing his call and told him why, he said, "the tree is planted, don't you worry, you were doing the Lord's work. We took care of everything on this end." Now if that doesn't warm your heart, what will. On another note, I have to mention Ms. Chay again for her efforts to ensure quality assurance. We had a fantastic experience at Moon Valley and thought we should let more people know in case they have similar needs. Chance, our consultant, was super helpful throughout the entire process, and Steve, the general manager, made everything even better. Chance actually took the time to come to our house and give us personalized advice on how to redo our landscaping after we lost three trees to Hurricane Beryl. When we visited the nursery, they walked us through various types of trees, explaining their characteristics and ideal growing conditions in great detail. What really stood out was the personalized attention we received. Both Chance and Steve were incredibly patient. I'm quite slow when it comes to decision-making and had lots of questions, but I never felt rushed. They even went out of their way to schedule the delivery on my birthday, which was such a thoughtful gesture! Not only was the service top-notch, but we also got a great deal. Steve worked within our budget and made sure we got the best value. The pricing was more than fair, and we left feeling like we had made a fantastic investment. read more

I encountered delivery issues with Moon Valley Nurseries at the Spring location. Rather than someone contacting me a day prior to my delivery date to provide me with a delivery time frame, I had to contact the delivery scheduler at the Spring location. I was subsequently not impressed! The scheduler wasn't customer friendly and she wanted to schedule my delivery for another day the following week! (I had purchased trees 1 month prior to my delivery date).  On the day that my trees were supposed to arrive (6/8/2021), THEY DIDN'T! I was unable to contact the scheduler to determine why but I subsequently contacted Niko who was one of the Asst. Managers at the location. Niko stayed on top of the situation, by following up with me, and he was able to have my trees delivered the following day. The driver, Leo Guerrero, arrived the following day, planted my trees, and explained watering and proper tree fertilizing. Leo and his crew were professional and courteous. I don't believe that I would purchase items from this location in the future due to the hassle aftermath! read more

My parents recommended Moon Valley to me after having a wonderful experience with David Lyles. I've been getting the flyers in the mail for the last year so I was already curious, and David did not disappoint. He stopped by and helped to guide me in the right direction, since what I had in mind ultimately wouldn't last in this climate. Instead of just letting me waste my money, he gave me some great advice on what would be hardy and easy to care for, and made awesome suggestions for a mediterranean-themed garden. He was also just such an enjoyable character, really cracked me up and was so interesting to talk to. Cody and his team that came to do the planting were also amazing. They called prior to arrival, made sure to explain everything and took care that I was happy with the job before they left. Everyone was very courteous and friendly and just great at their crafts. I had the absolute best experience with Moon Valley Nurseries. Their trees are the most healthy and beautiful around. The value is off the charts good! But what really blew me away was the customer service from Bob and Rich. Bob helped decide which trees to get for my yard and we tagged each one with my name. A wonderful experience. There was a concern with how one of the big trees I chose would actually fit in my yard, so the store manager, Rich Abate, came to my house before the install date and figured it out with me. He was amazing! Quickly figured out how the tree will get in the backyard, showed me where the best placement would be to accomplish my need for shade, and we even decided to add to my order to complete my back yard at one time! When the crew came out, they did an excellent job; and it went exactly like Rich told me it would go. We are very happy with our purchase of 20 Carolina Cherry trees. Marshall, our salesman, was knowledgeable and answered every question we had. He returned our text and phone calls immediately, even though they were made outside of normal business hours. He also came to our home and stacked out the location for our trees and then returned the following morning to reassure me the trees would thrive in the chosen location. Javier and his team of planters out of League City showed up at our home in The Woodlands to deliver our trees and make sure they were off to a great start. Every member of the team was courteous and respectful of my concerns. Each tree's hole was hand dug to assure existing landscaping and underground utility lines were not disturbed. Javier also did an initial watering and explained in detail the watering schedule for our trees and how they should be pruned in the spring. We are new customers to MV Nursery. Jessica worked with us to develop a plan that turned our freeze- and drought-damaged wasteland (LOL!) into a beautiful oasis filled with hardy plants. I'm eagerly anticipating the blooming cycle that Jessica worked into the plan. MV arborist Jason helped out with several trees that needed to be removed or trimmed to make room for everything in Jessica's design. The safety measures that Jason's crew took while working on our trees were impressive. We were so happy with their work that we signed up for the MV tree maintenance program. When planting day came, Mr. Guzman's crew was friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. Only one of the large number of plants the crew installed developed transplant shock. To make things simpler, I know absolutely zero about bushes, shrubs, or any kind of flower. I was absolutely lost. After visiting several other places, all with horrid customer service, we stumbled across this gem. My family was quickly greeted and we explained our scenario and needed more guidance as we wanted simple, colorful, and low maintenance items that worked for the Texas Climate. Chris Bach helped us and he was the most knowledgeable and patient salesperson we have met in a while. He instantly met all of our needs and guided us to the right plants we needed. We were extremely grateful. We are already returning to buy more as well as have them consult on our next project, which is our backyard. 10/10, highly recommended and price friendly. Trying to replace some of the tropical plants we lost due to last year's deep freeze, we responded to one of Moon Valley's recent package specials. Our salesperson, Nico, was outstanding! He helped us hand-pick 5 palms and several bushes. Communication from the office was terrific. Installation was flawless. Cody, the Planting Crew Manager, called 30 minutes before they arrived. He and his team were extremely courteous and responsive, Cody made several placement change recommendations. He and the team went above and beyond makings sure that each plant was placed and turned to enhance their appearance. After careful digging around our lighting and sprinkler plumbing, they treated the soil, placed the trees, watered them, staked them, and mulched them. We wanted to complete the tropical look in our backyard around our pool. But wanted palm trees that would not freeze. Stopped by Moon Valley Nursery "just to look". Bret Monakino was so patient with us while we "looked". He drove us all over their property looking at different palms. We showed him a picture of our pool area and he suggested several different options. We ended up leaving there with two Mule Palms, one Sabal Palm, one Mediterranean Palm and four very large Bird of Paradise plants. So much for "just looking" Don't worry if you're not sure how to care for your investment, as Bret gave us detailed instructions on how to take care of our trees. We had fantastic service from Moon Valley Nurseries in Spring, Texas! This is our second big residential landscaping job with them and we could not be more pleased. David Lyles was our salesperson both times. This guy is amazing! He is extremely knowledgeable; he listens to understand what type of landscaping vision you are trying to create, what plants you have in mind...and then he brings it all together. And...He is super-responsive to inquiries. Kudos to Amanda also. She coordinated the delivery and easily (and very nicely) handled our request to move up our delivery and planting date. They brought us beautiful, quality trees and hedges. I can't wait to move forward with coordinating our next landscaping project with David and Moon Valley Nurseries. We stopped by the Moon Valley location in Sugarland on Hwy 6, and explained to the gentleman who greeted us what it was we need to accomplish. Nick Tyrell was so helpful...we showed him video and pictures of our areas and he helped create a budget friendly design and pointed out our best buys. He took us around their 5-1/2 acres in a golf cart to show us exactly what his vision was. Nick was incredibly knowledgeable and immediately relieved any anxiety I was feeling about the experience. Afterwards we made our final selections and he got us scheduled. This entire experience was so easy and Nick stayed with us well past closing time to make sure we got everything taken care of. We went to Moon Valley Nurseries to purchase a tree and several shrubs for our back yard. Brett worked with us- came out to our home and accessed our needs. When we went to the nursery, he was there to greet us and direct us to the trees and shrubs we wanted. He was also on site as the tree and shrubs were delivered and planted. He was great throughout the entire process- and made it a pain-free experience! LIam Vincent and his crew- Flaco, Mario, Juan Sanchez, Ian, Jordan, and Moncho did a great job. Liam gave us a call that morning to tell us they were on the way- which we appreciated. The crew was hard working, and worked til the job was done, including cleaning and sweeping the area when done. We purchased a large tree from MVN a little over a month ago, and had a couple of hiccups with scheduling and the initial crew that came out (the tree wasn't planted properly), but Nico fixed everything to our satisfaction. He was SUPER helpful, extrememly responsive to calls and texts, and took complete ownership of our particular situation, right up to coming by our house after work and completely RE-PLANTING the tree the way it should have been done the first time. I can't say enough good things about the AMAZING customer service we received from this nice gentleman, who went out of his way to help us, explained things clearly so we could understand the dynamics of professional tree installation, and set our minds at ease knowing that it had ultimately been done right! read more

i needed to redo my front beds because the builder installed very small 1 gallon shrubs almost everywhere. while the house looks great, the landscaping did not match. I went to Moon Valley and worked a great plan and price with Steve and Bret. They provided me so many options to get what we wanted in the price range we desired. Josh and his crew came on time and finished early planting essentially everything in my front yard. He and his team were great and patient working with me to ensure all the plants were in the right location before giving the go ahead to plant. They even moved a few things for me after planting to improve the look. They were professional and also cleaned up well when they finished. I would highly recommend this team for any future work.
