I'm disappointed. I purchased total of 4 trees. 3500.00. 3 of them in Nov 25. And 1 in Dec 25. Australian bottle tree I purchased in Nov 25. I paid for the plan that would come out to my home and check on trees but they never did. They cancelled 2 times. My husband said it was a stupid purchase and waste of money. He said I didn't know anything about trees. I felt that I would get guidance with the plan that paid for them to come out to check on trees but it never happened. My Australian tree died less than a year. I guess my husband was right. I'm sad and I feel stupid for not listening to him. Even my lawn guy told me it was expensive and he could get trees for me and plant them for me for a lot less. read more

Living north of I-10, residents get a LOT of wind. After Moon nurseries planted two beautiful Laurel trees, the wind caused them to lean. After contacting Moon Nurseries in Coachella, they sent Joel Ramos to stake the trees. He did a GREAT job and so did Rico (the safety man!) I never leave reviews, but... If you are looking to add trees and plants to your yard - I suggest you go elsewhere. The pricing here is high, and not at all transparent. Ignore the prolific marketing you've no doubt received boasting various sales and discounts. Our total was well beyond my budget but I felt pressured and acquiesced, foolishly viewing it as a long term investment - which is my fault. I even ended up with the "care package", and six jugs of their Moon Juice, both a complete waste of money. The sales process was not unlike buying a car. One tree arrived severely damaged- the driver had the good conscience to point it out, and a new one arrived weeks later (after I called multiple times). The guy who installed our trees was fantastic- my frustration solely lies with the sales department and the care package subcontractor (it is not in house). One of our trees went into shock and has never recovered - see the before and after photo. We have followed all watering instructions religiously, and cared for the trees. I called our sales person who made it clear that they don't cover shock, and wouldn't replace it. None of the fruit trees we bought have born any fruit (the mango mysteriously dropped all fruit at the start of its season) and the lime has only even flowered once. We have one more "care appointment" which, like all previous appointments, has been rescheduled multiple times (and they don't respond to emails). I will be planting more trees - but purchased elsewhere, from a trusted local nursery with clear pricing. read more

My husband and I are new to the Coachella Valley and needed to do some serious work in our garden. We have visited the Sunland/Tujunga location in the past and have to say the Coachella Valley site is much more impressive. Seems to us that whatever anyone would want is there and more. The staff is friendly, very knowledgeable about their plants and the inventory of plants in several stages of growth appeals to most any landscape plan and budget. Equally appealing is that Moon Valley Nurseries offer plant removal services for a fee. Planting of plants purchased from Moon Valley is included in the purchase price. So our expeience first of all with the removal of five full grown trees was great. Communication as to arrival day and time was very helpful for us. One crew took two fully grown African Sumacs, one Hong Kong Orchid, two Callary Pear trees down very quickly. Then the stump grinder crew with awesome speed took care of the remains of the tree. They did accidentally damage an irrigation water line and repaired it without a question. Everyone coordinated to also do a really good cleanup leaving us twiddling our thumbs. The planting crew came this morning and on time. Again communication with us about arrival and expectations was superb. The crew of five, I believe, planted four trees (one a giant tipuana, three fruit trees, a vine, and a Coral Fountain bush) in slightly less than two hours. The holes for all of the plants including the tipu were hand dug. The plants were fed and amazing collars were created around each one to help with deep watering. Like the tree removal crews, the planting crew did not leave even a trace of a mess. (As an aside, a neighbor had a full grown gigantic tipuana tree removed by a different company after we had our trees removed. The crew that removed this neighbor's tree left a very big mess. Big brown marks on his driveway. Heavy limbs were dropped onto edges of a couple of sections of paving which were then broken. It took a good two days for this job. Glad we chose Moon Valley!!!) Last, we have to thank Debbie R. for pointing us in the right direction as far as tree selection went and for helping with placement on our property. She explained the Moon Valley Nurseries policies and services in detail and answered any questions we had. read more

Joel Ramos and his team did an excellent job of delivering and installing the tree, despite the fact that it was a difficult site with a narrow courtyard with a small gate entrance of only 36 inches. They skillfully wrestled the tree into place and none of my surrounding landscaping was harmed in the process. It's as if the tree has been there forever. We live on a golf course and needed a mature tree to help with stray golf balls. We received a flier from Moon Valley so I called and spoke with Kevin who then came to my home to make recommendations. After visiting the nursery and looking at all the trees we went with a 48" box ficus tree. After some negotiations we purchased the tree and scheduled delivery. Sergio our driver called to confirm our time and showed up as scheduled. The team had to dolly the tree down the cart path to get it into my backyard. Joel Ramos and his team just installed our pygmy palm, mandarin orange and lemon trees here in Palm Springs, CA and they did an excellent job. Questions were answered, they had to figure out how to get the trees through a narrow, difficult area to get to the planting destination, the trees were planted and watered and then they cleaned up after themselves. This location was extremely well maintained, selection that is unbelievable and value, paired with staff that's very helpful and knowledgeable.
