Evans Lane Nursery - The dying tree planted by Evans Lane Nursery

Anyway, here it is again: Evans Lane Nursery is the absolute BEST nursery around -- and they have affordable prices! I bought a 3' dwarf Meyer lemon tree about 3 years ago. I had them plant it for me as I couldn't dig the hole deep enough due to all the rocks in my area. Anyway, it took my tree about a year to produce anything, and since I was still learning about how to care for it, it wasn't much. I started adding fruit and vegetable food, but didn't really work. I got a few more lemons. Then I discovered I needed to give it citrus tree food. OH MY HOD WHAT A DIFFERENCE! This past year, I got more lemons than I knew what to do with. I love my dwarf Meyer lemon tree from Evans Lane Nursery. I'm heading there soon for an orange tree (or two)!

Horrible. I dealt with them when two citrus trees needed to be replaced after receiving a "Deep…read moreroot fertilization" from Rudy's Pest Control Plant Health Division killed my own trees that were already established. One of the citrus trees was planted too deep and is not doing well at all. The root flare was planted 4 inches below the surface. I thought this might be why it wasn't looking good and called Orlando. He got verbally aggressive with me on the phone, immediately defensive, and said "You're just a difficult customer". He was so hostile in tone and demeanor it was appalling. The tree is definitely going to die. I called other nurseries in the area and was told that planting the root flare 4 inches below ground will cause the tree to be deprived of oxygen and will eventually kill it. What recourse do I have? Because Rudy's Pest Control paid for this, as it was their staff who originally killed my citrus trees, I am trying to work through them. I'd rather not deal with Orlando at this point if I don't have to.
