My mother has been at Moonlight Boarding Care (a licensed Board & Care facility) since losing everything in the Eaton fire. Moonlight Boarding Care has two private rooms and two shared rooms, and can accommodate a total of six people. All the rooms are a good size, very bright and friendly, with the basic necessities, like a bed, dresser, nightstand, a wall mounted tv, lamp, sheer curtains, A/C, etc. The place is really welcoming and always very, very clean....it always smells fresh! The two caregivers are sweethearts who go above and beyond to make my mom feel comfortable. The meals are home cooked and are always accompanied with some fresh tomatoes or veggies or a little salad. During the afternoon, fresh fruit (grapes, blueberries, mandarins, etc.) and yogurt are often served. My mother is always clean and I really feel that she is well cared for. The living room of this house (it's a common area for everyone) has a nice sitting area and also a big table with chairs. There's a tv above the fireplace, and there are games on the shelves for everyone's use. This establishment has two caregivers on site during the day, and one caregiver who stays all night...there is ALWAYS someone there...which is very important to me. Moonlight Boarding Care is located in Pasadena on a quiet side street, close to PCC. The owner and his wife (Sako and Adriana) are really friendly and accommodating...Adriana is a LVN and personally makes sure everything is running smoothly. I am very happy that I found this place and would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a nice and clean Board & Care with a caring staff that feels like family. read more
