I purchased a California state pendant and it became severely tarnished. Moon and Lola offered to replate it which I appreciated. However, it only looked somewhat better when it was returned to me and it quickly became severely tarnished again. Moon and Lola is such a fun and pink boutique. The store is always immaculate and the countertops are sleek and pristine white. They have a charm bar where you start with a bracelet and then add pendants to it (letters, state icons, pets, etc). The charms are priced based in size. Moon and Lola is named after high shool friends and the co-founder Kelly talked to a us at a Yelp event in the Cameron Village location. M &L became famous after appearing on Oprah's best gift list for their pet tag charms. They ship around the country and world and have shops in Charleston, SC and the Raleigh area. If you need a local or personalized girlie gift, this is the place. The prices are a bit higher but it is quality and comes in a pretty hot pink gift bag. read more

Loved this place!!! Uber cute and girly and STYLISH. Moon & Lola is a brand, but they also carry cute knick Knacks, jewelry and other stuff. Tons of customizable jewelry. I'm not from North Carolina, but was in the area for a wedding. Ending purchasing something here each day I was in town. They also have an online shop. Knowing this, when I got home, I ended up purchasing some personalized jewelry for my bridesmaids for my upcoming nuptials. Super cute, classy and sassy! Moon and Lola became famous after Oprah named their Cuff Links one of her favorite things in 2014, and their Personalized Pet Ornaments in 2015. Though more pricey than I am accustomed to pay ($28 per ornament), I loved the custom silhouette pet ornaments and ordered 10 unique designs to honor each unique dog and cat in our family. Over the years, some of our cherished pets have passed on, and three new ones arrived. I emailed Moon and Lola to ensure I could purchase three more unique designs, and sent three images of our new pets with my order. I anxiously awaited the new ornaments to add to our Christmas tree. Unfortunately, I received three identical ornaments with my pets name on them. When I contacted Moon and Lola, they said they discontinued the silhouette ornament two years prior. There were lots of excuses about being short staffed, loss of a production studio, and it being their busy season. So after receiving my order and photos, they never notified me that they couldn't do the custom silhouettes, accepted my payment, sent me identical ornaments, apologized for the inconvenience, and hoped I enjoy what they sent. I replied by including their email confirming they could do the silhouettes, and told them I was not happy at all. No response. This once bustling business is now working on fumes and leftovers. We are obsessed with Moon & Lola! This holiday season, we gifted various Moon & Lola pieces to my sister and several dear friends. At the top of our favorites list are the personalized bracelets resulting from the brilliant collaboration between Moon & Lola and Bourbon & Boweties. So on trend! Particularly stunning are the bracelets with the largest diameter charms. We also love the fact that the charms are lightweight (even though they look substantial) and seemingly indestructible. The weight absolutely makes a difference to anyone with wrist issues or arthritis. The opportunity to play jewelry designer was a blast. The process included anticipating which colors would be most useful to the recipients, identifying the images that best reflected a recipient's passions or personality, customizing background colors and images and otherwise creating a good "color story." What's not to love?! Just one smallish suggestion to Moon & Lola: Please put your delightful images and monograms on both sides of your dangling charms (or at least offer double-faced charms as an option). The charms rotate when worn and the plain reverse sides are not all that compelling. As it so happens, Oprah has included Moon & Lola on her "favorite things" list for two years running (although we independently discovered Moon & Lola), which is a noteworthy achievement. Moon & Lola now is also ensconced on our personal "favorite things" list, and we cannot wait to return. We definitely know of some charm bracelets in need of additional charms :-). read more

RUDE, SNOTTY, SPOILED, AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE. That's all I can say... Well, maybe not. If I could give NEGATIVE stars, I would. I ordered custom jewelry items on December 1 and received it on January 6. The girl I spoke with on the phone, Turner, had absolutely nothing apologetic to say to me and when I said to her that I was upset that nothing else was done she said that she was glad I got my order and then hurried me off of the phone. Their customer service is AWFUL and Turner was not only CONDESCENDING on the phone but rude and kept talking over me. All she had to do was say that she was sorry and that they would do something for me other than get my order out to me a month and a half late! A discount coupon, refund part of my money from the order, anything to keep a current customer? This order had two Christmas gifts for my daughter and my sister-in-law that I was not able to present to them on Christmas Day. I am very upset with the way they handled things and when I called them in response to a phone message they left me she lied to me and said that the address that it was sent to originally was undeliverable. She recited my exact address to me off of the package! Not only did they not deliver but they LIED and tried to COVER IT UP. read more
