Rare Earth Beads is my favorite crystal shop! Not only is the staff always so nice and welcoming, but the shop has the best vibes and the best selection! Support your local small businesses! Rare Earth Beads is the best.

I probably would've never stop in rare earth beads if my friend hadn't been visiting me but I am grateful that I did. We were recommended this bead shop by everyday magic because my friend was looking for someone to wrap her stones. When we entered my friend immediately fell in love. She found several stones that she loved. The staff that was there knew a lot about the stones. The best part was the prices of the stones. If you want authentic beautiful and great priced stones this is the place. In the photo she purchased the 2 that has the loop for necklace.

So cute, best prices I've ever seen at a crystal/bead shop. Employees were friendly but not constantly hovering.

I am always on the hunt for alternative sources to art supplies found in big box concrete buildings…read morethat offer up half of their space to kitchey already made dumpster filling junk. So when I am in a new area of a town, I google "art supplies" and pray for some relief from the tyranny of plastic and cake decorating, scrapbook paper and seasonal driftwood. So I found ArtPost in an unexpected place. A small dwelling type storefront with funky painted blue building and two doors... take the left. Inside you will find traditional and some on trend art supplies packed inside the small space like a european counterpart. If you are an artist or craftsperson, I don't believe you will be able to leave without something. p.s. they have some of the coolest japanese brush tip pens.

I did not realize this until I came here, but Art Post is one of the only few local art supply…read morestores (and I believe the only one downtown). I have used them twice now for private classes/team building projects and both time they were phenomenal. For far less money than what other chain art-creation-team-building-events asked, Art Post created a custom activity for our group and created a laid-back atmosphere that encouraged creativity but also socializing. I also observed a class with younger children and the teacher was patient and also encouraging of creativity with the kids. Overall, I was very impressed with their community outreach and artistic philosophy. They also host some really great outdoor markets on the weekend where you can find lots of great local art and music!

This was honestly one of the most frustrating and horrible experiences I've ever had at a store. It…read morewas so bad that I still remember the names of the people working. Jason and Athena were some of the rudest, most unhelpful employees I've ever met. Actually, I shouldn't even call them employees because they were refusing to work. I'm sorry to write this review, but it really was that bad. We were having a baby shower the next day and I just needed a few balloons to mark where people should walk. We got there at 6:45pm, and the store didn't close until 9, so there was plenty of time. I picked out my balloons and went to the register for help. Athena first said she couldn't do it and told me to go to another line. Then Jason said he didn't do it, so I went back to her, and she again said she couldn't do it. Finally, Jason said, "Well, it's going to take us about an hour, so you probably should skip it." I only had 12 balloons. Not fancy ones, just the cheap regular ones. I asked why it would take so long, and he said they were short-staffed. Which, fine, I'd understand if there were other people waiting but there weren't. It was just us. I even offered to help tie the balloons myself, but he said no and kept repeating that it would take him an hour. He clearly didn't want to do any work. I told him I'd wait, and he sighed like I had just ruined his day and said "whatever." I paid for the balloons, but he never even started on them. I eventually just left with my unfilled balloons. Horrible experience. I'll be going to a different Michaels from now on.

The store is well stocked and I've always found what I came for. As a seamstress, I wish the fabric selection was better. I had the best time this morning! I signed up for a class because I wanted to try something new,…read moreand Ryan was the perfect teacher. Before she taught us how to make a lidded vessel, she gave us background information on clay and ceramics, which I very much appreciated. Some of the classes use a pottery wheel; our vessels were hand built. Ryan took us through the process step by step, with lots of visuals and assistance. The class was supposed to be two-and-a-half hours, but she was so efficient, and her instructions were so clear, we got out early. Our pieces need time to dry, and we'll be coming back another day to glaze them (or Ryan will do that for us). We'll get to take our finished vessels home in a couple of weeks. The studio is a mostly-open space that is full of student work and Ryan's own pieces. She teaches lots of classes there, including vase and mug making, and they fill up quickly. She has a charcuterie board class coming up soon, and I'm very interested!

I am an intermediate potter from CA. I enrolled in the beginner's wheel six week class from April…read moreto May. On week five I was told I could only bisque fire four pieces to glaze on class six. I left my pieces and a list of them ( as requested by the sub) with Nate's substitute teacher. Today on class six, I had no greenware to wax or glaze. Therfore, I was not able to finish any pieces during the six week program. I was told on class six that my pieces were more than 1/2 inch thick and that they " had not been placed properly on the greenware shelf for bisque firing. Therfore, I will leave the$250.00 session class with no greenware ( bisque) or other finished pieces. During all wheel sessions student potters were also required only to work on wheels with bats. Prior in other schools we were not required to use bats or to meet only 1/2 inch specifications for firing.
