I've been a regular at Ca Va Bien for about a dozen years, with Kate serving as my usual stylist. The service has always been fantastic, with the owner usually checking in on me to see if I've been properly treated. Over the dozen years I've gone through a range of styles, and colours, with Kate being a master stylist in each stage. When she was on leave, Kristina, who sadly is no longer with Ca Va Bien, took over her duties admirably. I regularly frequent the aesthetics area of the spa, primarily for touch ups of the brow area. While the presence of men is somewhat uncommon on the second floor of the studio, the Ca Va Bien staff have always gone out of their way to make me fee comfortable. Torrie has been my regular esthetician and she been consistently excellent. I have found the hair cut, the colourings and the esthetic services very reasonably priced, and I look forward to continuing my patronage of Ca Va Bien in the future. read more

I have been a loyal client to CaVaBien for over 12 years. Besides the warm, welcoming and friendly atmosphere found at the salon, I continue to return because of the talented and creative staff that work there. I have had my hair done by several of the highly qualified hair professionals, but my absolute favourite is Kate Swartz, one of the salons top stylists (in my opinion, but I guarantee many others feel the same way). My sister booked five of the stylists for her wedding and I was very impressed with how they were able to listen and match the vision all of us bridesmaids had asked for our bridal party hair. A visit to CaVaBien is always such a treat and a highlight in my week, not to mention the warm fresh homemade complimentary cookies they offer to you when you visit. Cookies, tea, great company and beautiful hair, a DEFINITE plus in my books. read more

I've been going here since they opened and the quality has been slowly declining in the last five years. Their "master" stylists are often over priced (I've tried three of them). A few years ago I had to go back three times for them to fix the color on what cost me over $500 and it was never right. I just gave up. Editha is the only person I have found that waxes my brows the way I like them. The last time I went (April 2015) there was a mix up with my appointment and I got the new girl with one inch thick drawn on eyebrows who showed me my brows in a dirty eye makeup mirror from her purse instead of the large mirror hanging on the wall. When I got back to my car I saw numerous missed hairs. All for the privilege of $25. Like so many other businesses in Marda Loop, over priced, pretentious and just not worth it. read more

I go to CaVaBien to see Kate. I live in the neighbourhood and it is always nice to whip over to my appointment and have free parking. The customer service is great at the desk at check in. What I really like is Kate really listens to me - but isn't afraid to tell me what she thinks I should do (she is the expert..). I was ready for a change recently and she was quite supportive. It's only hair, but really IT'S HAIR. A good hair style is so important, and I really value finding someone so proficient and fast at what she does. Kate also is so genuine and lovely, I have to say I am so super happy I go see her every 2 months for hilights and haircuts. read more

Hello, my name is Jay. Kate from CaVa Bien has been cutting my hair for at least the last 3 years and now I wouldn't allow anyone else to touch my hair. It isn't like I'm giving her an awful lot to work with ( I'm no Brad Pitt ) but she makes me look as good as I can look and that makes me feel good. Kate is very nice and down to earth and always remembers the little things that are happening in my life but honestly if I didn't have confidence that I would be happy with the result I would have moved on to another stylist ( likely with a different company ). Thanks Kate I will continue to see you till there is no more hair for you to style. read more

I have been going to Cavabien Spa for a couple years now and have never had a bad experience. I have a pedicure/shellac every 2 weeks and once a month I add a micro and facial. On those days I am treated to a fantastic lunch sitting and relaxing on their patio. My spa technician is Kara and she is the BEST.. Kara always ensures that I am happy, satisfied and relaxed. The Manager Bonnie is also fantastic and goes out of her way to make sure I am happy with any of the products I purchase and will even order me things that they may not have currently in stock. I highly recommend the Cavabien Spa. read more

There are few things I'm very picky about. one of them is my hair, when I was younger my parents would always takes me to discount hair dressers where price was the concern and as long as i came out with shorter hair that was good enough. now I have the freedom to go where I want. and Ca Va bein is no discount hair parlour. I've seen 3 different girls from there, and each time I came out with a fantastic hair cut, and the confident feeling that goes along with it. its a little pricey, but well worth the money. the top salon I've been to in Calgary read more

I have loved Ca Va Bien for over a decade. I used to live close by, but even though I have moved north of the river, I still head to Ca Va Bien as often as I can. My hair stylist does such a fantastic job with my hair, and my nails have never looked better! I also get therapeutic massages that are heavenly...What I really love about Ca Va Bien is the owner's commitment to the environment. The spa uses solar power and is fantastic with recycling. And she also bakes homemade cookies for the clients, and they are DELICIOUS! read more

Cava Bien is the only place I trust to get my eyebrows waxed -- they always do the most incredible job! I've been out of Calgary for the last 6 years and went back there for the first time today, and I'm happy to report that nothing has changed in that regard!! Staff are all very friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere is instantly relaxing the second you step in, and they've got a lovely fireplace to sit by upstairs as well, so bring a good book!! Highly recommend -- in fact, I wouldn't recommend going anywhere else!! read more

Just had my hair butchered by Kristina. My scalp still hurts this morning from her claws shampooing me. I've been going to Ca Va Bien for a long time and I've never had a haircut as terrible and violent as the one she gave me. When I dried my hair this morning I realized that she styled my hair instead of cutting it so I basically paid $75 for a cut that Supercuts would have done a better job at. I'm not sure if I'll return to Ca Va Bien. There used to be a standard where all their hairdressers we're excellent. read more

I've been going to Cavabien since I moved in across the street, 13 years ago. The staff are amazing and the cookies are so delicious. Kate is our stylist of choice, she now cuts our entire family. She's the only one we know who can deal with the antics of my squirmy 9 year old son and still give him an amazing cut! My husband has to book his appointments two months in advance to make sure he can get in, but it's so worth it. I'm already looking forward to my next visit. I wouldn't go anywhere else. read more

I have been going to CaVaBien for 10 years for all sorts of things! I've been for facials, nails, pedi's, laser, waxing and my favorite....massage. Andrea is the best massage therapist out there. And believe me, I have tried many, many other places. Service has always been excellent. Great selection of products as well. A few years ago I went for a make-up application for a wedding. I came out looking like a better version of myself. All I can say is thanks, and you should give this spa a try. read more

My girlfriend has been looking for a nice hair salon/spa ever since we moved to Calgary 2 years ago. She's tried 3 other places and hasn't been very impressed until she stumbled upon the delightful atmosphere and pleasant people at Ca Va Bien. She kept talking about how incredibly relaxing the whole experience was for days after and can't wait until the next she goes back. She had absolutely nothing negative to say about it so I give Ca Va Bien 5 out of 5 stars on her behalf. read more

I recently moved to Calgary from Ireland and was looking for a good hairdresser. A friend of mine recommended Cavabien to me. I went to Lorraine last Thursday and had a great experience! She gave my hair a really good cut and was so friendly and chatty throughout. What really impressed me though, was the fact that Lorraine called me on Sunday to see if I was happy with my hair! This has never happened to me before and is such a nice touch. I will definitely be going back! read more

If you have never been you have to try this place!!!! Although when u walk in it is rather crowded , once you get upstairs to the spa it is Devine! Give this place a try if u want a real treat and an excellent service! read more

I have been going to see Gina Chevalier for over a year. Gina has consistently provided great massages and been extremely helpful with suggestions and advise to help with the pain in my upper back & shoulders. Before seeing Gina, I tried several different therapists but the combination of her level of professionalism, consistency in approach and helpfulness has turned me into a repeat customer. read more

I have been a Ca Va Bien client since I moved to Calgary in 2007. In 10 years, I have had only two stylists. This is a well managed salon with low staff turnover. Front desk is very friendly and there are always fun promotions to keep clients engaged. They host a large stampede breakfast each July for charity. My stylist is amazing and knows exactly what I want and need. Highly recommend. read more

I have been going to CaVaBien for years, and just recently went with my Mama for a manicure. Haley and Chelsea (our estheticians) were absolutely wonderful, and I have been receiving countless compliments on my nails since. The estheticians were friendly, professional and made the experience relaxing and enjoyable. Definitely book an appointment here, you won't be disappointed! read more

I have been a client here forever. Kate is my MASTERstylist and I can't say enough good things about her and the business. My only complaint comes from front end staff, however Kate has educated me that there can be a higher staff turn over here, and that there is a learning curve. I can appreciate this working in a restaurant industry for 6 years! All I highly recommend! read more
