Let's start with the good. The sites were level. Bathroom was very clean. I did not check out the shower. Laundry room looked clean as well. They have a very small pool and a hot tub. Now for the bad all of the sites and everything around them is rocks not gravel but rocks they have a couple of green spaces for tent campers and for kids to play but your dogs are not supposed to go on them. They have a very small off leash area That has some type of wood shavings. The only saving grades is across the street and down about a half a block is the city dog park which is very nice. Oh another good is right around the corner within walking distance is some of the best Chinese food I've had in years read more

Stopped in to get propane-which they sell as I had called prior. Waited about 30 minutes for the guy (maybe the owner or manager) to finally muster up the courage to walk the 100' to the propane tank. Walked up and said "is this yours". Yes sir it is-only propane tank sitting here and I've been here for 30 minutes. No "hey sorry about the wait" or anything like that. Absolutely garbage customer service and I'm sure is telling of what the rest of the campground experience is like. read more

We stayed here for about 6 weeks as we were waiting to close on our house and it was a wonderful little park. The staff was all friendly and helpful all the time. Becky and Bonnie are great (there a gentleman as well but I don't remember his name). They loved our son and let him play on the golf carts. He and walked around every day and met so many nice people here. It is very well kept and maintained, and it's very clean. Some people live here 6-12 months and other just stay a short time. If anyone is looking to stay in Fruita for a while, I would recommend staying here. They have RV spits and cabins. It's close to shopping and dinning as well. Also, it's right across the street from a park and the Dinosaur Museum so it's a very kid/family friendly area. read more

Best Nicest folks running this park at 6:30 PM. Today ! August 9. 2020 If you're traveling East on 70 this is the easiest to get to! Really We didn't get to stay with them. Because I had the wrong name! Sadly! But they took us inside after not finding our reservation and they figured out where we were to be and gave us directions to get on down the road. Love this park! Though sites are tight the grounds are clean and tidy! If you don't need full hook ups go for the south side of the park along the green belt with a view of the cliffs. Best feature is the State Park across the street! Beautiful walking! This park is our home whenever we visit Grand Juncrion! read more

Normally on trips we camp but for thanksgiving we knew the weather would be too cold and wet so we wanted a dry/warm spot close to all the hiking and biking trails. This was the spot! They had 4 nights available for us and the best part is they have one cabin that is dog friendly! It's only $55/night. Showers and restrooms were super clean. The RV park itself was very quiet. Sadly the hot tub was broken and closed. We needed up leaving early and they have us a refund for the last night because it was within the 24 hour window of cancellation. We loved that everything was so close - grocery, liquor, restaurants, trails, etc. We would definitely come back for this cabin! read more

The RV Park is very nice and clean and close to the Colorado Nat'l Monument. The staff are friendly and they have a nice lil store. The reason I am giving a 1 star rating is because of the area they put our trailer. At first I thought it was great to be under a tree for shade in 100f plus weather. The problem was the tree had a major bug problem. The staff member my husband spoke with about the bugs said they were aware of the problem. They said they have tried to cut back branches on some of the trees to deter the bugs. It is obviously not a solution. The bugs we're also prevalent on the telephone pole in the dog run during evening hours. We're upset that they knew of the problem but stuck us under the tree anyway. We stayed at the park for two nights. Before we ran in our pop outs my husband swept the tops of each pop out before closing them. We are now at a new RV Park in Moab. When we opened up the trailer there were bugs all over the inside of our trailer. In the past 4 hrs. We have killed approximately 180 of these bugs. It's really disgusting. We are going to have to use a bug bomb in our trailer before taking it home. If you stay here make sure your site is in the middle away from trees. Update to review- by the time we arrived home from our trip we killed over 413 bugs inside our trailer We also made sure to bug bomb the inside of our trailer before parking it at home read more

My husband and I stayed at the park on October 20, 2018 for one night. We planned to use the hot tub in the evening. I asked the office staff woman if the hot tub would be open, just to confirm. She said it would be open, yet when we showed up-there was a lock on the entry and the office was closed. I called the office and left a message asking why the hot tub wasn't accessible. I asked them to call me back, but they failed to do that. I found both the lack of communication and professionalism off-putting. I guess the owners and staff aren't interested in good customer service as reflected by tepid reviews. read more

This RV park had the most friendly and helpful front desk service we have experienced anywhere in the country. Easy to book, easy late arrival system. The RV spots were easy pull through with full hook-up. The gorgeous James M. Robb Colorado River State Park was just across the street, as is the Dinosaur Museum. We loved it so much we stayed again on our way back through. The only glitch was the WiFi would not connect. We highly recommend this as a solid, clean RV location. read more

This is a great campground. Very clean and well kept. The owners are very nice and got us in fast and easy. They have a nice store with all you need. The pool is very nice and it also has a hot tub. Restaurants are within walking distance and so is a great dinosaur museum. I highly recommend this campground. read more

Easy check-in and the front desk staff was nice. The owner sure looked cozy sitting under that huge tree while his customers roasted in 100 degree heat with no shade. His coach is the first one on the left when you drive in. He waved and smiled at us when we drove out though so he must be a good person. Free wifi was awful but we enjoyed the 50+ cable channels. Fantastic laundry available near the office with very large dryers. $1.50 for 60 minutes of drying time is a good deal. Showers were incredibly cramped with no shelves available to store personal items. Pool is tiny and we didn't try it. Successfully received several Amazon packages during our 1 week stay. best place we've stayed in awhile! The park is beautiful and masked by lots of really big trees. We visited Fruita in May for a graduation, stayed here for 2 weeks and couldn't be happier. The restrooms are very clean as well as laundry room. However they do close these facilities from 11-1pm. Which was a little annoying...the gals who clean are super nice if u need to put your clothes in dryer or pickup. The pool and hot tub were my favorite by far and they even have a little gym inside the office u can go to if your not out walking the trails of the state park across the street. Very close to food/gas/entertainment. And Steve the park owner is always out and about with a smile. He even came and traded out our picnic table for a newly painted one :) We would definitely stay here again just make sure you book in advance especially during tourist season, we got super lucky with a 2 week stay! read more

Sweet little RV park in the middle of hiking and biking canyon country. The park itself is beautifully maintained with many flowers and shrubs, grassy play area for kids, and a dog run as well as immaculate bathrooms and laundry facilities. They are open 24/7 for guests with the exception of one combo facility that closes for a few hours daily for thorough cleaning (the large main one is always available). There is a small pool and hot tub which are super clean with chairs and tables for lounging. I have found management and staff friendly and eager to assist guests. read more

This is a really nice RV park we had water and electricity the staff is very very nice and friendly we didn't have a barbecue so they lent us their barbecue to use and it is very clean nice place with a lot of shade trees we really had a good time. They have a Jacuzzi and a swimming pool the swimming pool is a little bit too cold for my taste the Jacuzzi is an above ground Jacuzzi kind of like a Jacuzzi you would have at your home but it was nice and hot and it felt good. The have a little market/grocery store has quite a few think that in it and also has a shower in a laundry Room which we didn't make use of. read more

My original post is below. However after emailing the management, explaining the issues, offering suggestions, the manager graciously gave us a partial credit. I respect this business for listening to the customer and will give them another chance if we are near Fruita. Do not stay here! When checking in, we were told hot tub was open until 9 but we needed to ask the manager to lift the cover. When we went to manager at 7:50, she was rude and said it was too late. She said she was engaged in other activities (watching tv). Internet was Non-existent. No hot water in men's bathroom by office. Dog fight outside our RV at 10:30 pm. In morning , I asked for a partial credit because I did not receive all the amenities. Person at front desk refused because I didn't tell about issues when I encountered them. Was I supposed to wake her up at 10:30 pm? Why can't places be customer oriented and credit me? DO NOT STAY HERE!!! read more

This is two stars simply because dogs are a huge part of our camping trips. THIS IS NOT THE PLACE IF YOU HAVE DOGS. They do not allow dogs to step foot off the main road ways and the "pet area" is a tiny fenced patch of urine - filled gravel. There are many rules. That said it is clean. The bathroom and shower area is updated and well taken care of. There is coin operated laundry. It would work well for a trip where all you needed was a plug-in and water and sewer and you spent the lion's share of the day elsewhere. They pack them in very tight on gravel strips and the tiny lawns are just for looking at. You sure as heck can't let your dog walk on it!! They are super serious about their rules and especially the ones around dogs, no matter how well behaved or how well you clean up after him. read more

Pretty good, depending on what you're looking for. Bathrooms and showers were very clean, never crowded, and were always open, even during late hours. We arrived after the office was closed and were greeted with a friendly envelope taped to the door with our site number, map, and pertinent information. The grounds are well kept and maintained, but stalls are pretty tightly packed and all gravel. The coin laundry and convenience store located in the office were very handy. Snacks, RV supplies, toilettries, etc. if you need them. The pool is a sad little thing. The wifi was a joke. Could not even load my Facebook app on my phone. Had to use my boyfriend's hotspot in order to work on my laptop. IF YOU HAVE DOGS, YOU MIGHT WANT TO LOOK ELSEWHERE. While they allow dogs, the grounds and rules are very unfriendly toward them. The ONLY place on the entire property where your dog is allowed to potty is a tiny little gravel dog run. The two little grass areas they do have are reserved for children, of which I saw none during our entire stay. Mostly older folks and mountain bikers. I had to walk my dog off property to go potty, as she didn't want to go into the gross dog run. Further, the manager who lives on site was quite rude to me when my dog and I were walking behind her and her dogs to get back to our site. She snapped at me not to "walk up on her dogs," as she was not able to hold onto one of them that was poorly behaved. If she can't control her dog, she should not bark at me for doing nothing but trying to walk back to my camper. That left quite a bad taste in my mouth. If all you need is a place to hook up, with clean facilities, conveniently located to the monument and to food, etc., this is a fine place. If you're looking for any sort of campy ambience or are traveling with dogs you would like to have outside of your camper, maybe try the park across the street. read more

Have had the worst experience we have ever had traveling and or camping. Though it is basically a gravel parking lot we were optimistic when greeted by some sweet kids on bikes when we arrived. but wow... the next day we found out different. this is no place for families, children or dogs. the children cannot walk anywhere, dogs are not even allowed outside on a leash, the very few trees they have leaked sap all over our rv and outdoor kitchen area and the flies are terrible. The owner/someone who worked here i'm not sure yelled at my boys for slamming a bathroom door which i don't condone but... (so much so one of my boys cried himself to sleep because he didn't understand why was such a big deal) what a nightmare. can't wait to leave tomorrow and get back to beautiful adventures as a family. not a place for us read more

This place is made extra wonderful by the owners, Lynn and Steve, who are friendly, attentive, and care very much about the quality of their resort, as well as the lovely staff they employ. Monument RV park is clean, well cared for, and has all the amenities you could ask for. Showers, laundry, a pool and hot tub, BBQ grill, fast wifi. The location is only a couple of miles from the entrance to the Colorado National Monument and just across the bridge from the little town of Fruita, with Grand Junction being a quick 10 minute drive away. Plus, there's a beautiful state park directly across the street. Every night, we could be up on top of the mesa in 5 minutes in time for the most incredible sunsets. We would be happy to stay here anytime we're in the Fruita/Grand Junction area! read more

RV sites are setup face to face meaning that you coexist with your neighbors when outside your coach. Picnic tables right next to each other, bbq together, sit in your chairs together, enjoy the night time stars with strangers, enjoy their children, and their dogs. The pool is about the size of a large jacuzzi. Water pressure is so high it blue the fittings off my hose. Good thing I had a regulator at the RV connection. When I spoke to the maintenance guy he said it was my fault and should have had my regulator at the spicket side of the hose. Maybe so but we have been traveling for 2 years and this is the first time our hose blew apart. Whatever to these guys and they are in my rear view mirror. On the contrary the James Robby campground across the street Is a jewel and half the price. Go there!!!!! read more

This RV park is truly amazing. The staff was more than accommodating when it came to checking in early and working with us. The staff was friendly and amazing, from the front desk to the grounds keeper . Let me talk about the showers and restrooms WOW, so clean ( I mean really clean) there was a shelf in the shower to put your stuff on, which really is a big deal for me. Removable shower heads with different settings, they even had medical chairs for those who can't stand long. The pool was very clean and the perfect temperature and the hot tub was great as well. The grounds were clean and nothing trashy laying around. Thank you for for all your time and wonderful staff for making this a great experience. read more

Planned on staying there Aptil 2020 but had to cancel due to Covid 19 stay at home (California) and Colorado stay at home lockdown. Upon cancelling was told there was a cancellation fee that could not be waived due to the health issues even if you are ordered to stay home. Unbelievable based on the situation in the US going on. Other campgrounds revised their policies for the situation but not here. read more

The management is so unfriendly it is unbelievable. They keep blaming their poor behavior on new owners. I stored my camper there over the winter for $68 per month starting on the 15 th of the month. My contract said I had to pick it up no later than 3/31. That's fine. I got there it pick it up the next day at 3:30. She said ok I will have to charge you one day of full rate and by the way it is 3:30 and you have to pick it by 3:00 so I will have to charge you for another day. I said I was paid up in full until April 15th and she said sorry no refunds. So I was charged $73 more and lost my remaining $34 for my remaining time. "Sorry, new owners ". That's got to be BS because it's the same crazy people running this outfit for years. Don't stay here. read more

The management was completely indifferent to the fact that the RV sites were not level and did not have the service promised by staff over the phone (they said 30 amp and it was only 20, they were not pull through). Then when we went to discuss these concerns with them, the manager got in my father-in-laws face, literally an inch from his face, and told us if we didn't like it we could leave, so we did. Other campers nearby had similar issues with the management being rude and or indifferent to issues/ concerns. The sites are a mess and they don't seem to care that people are bending their jacks and having to dig trenches to try to get their rigs somewhat level. Do not go here, shame because its a pretty spot and folks who had stayed her a few years ago said it used to be well maintained and managed. read more

Called to reserve because they do not offer an online option. The lady that answered the phone could not hear a word I said and I had to repeat everything multiple times. After 20 minutes I told her to just cancel the reservation as it should not be that difficult. Received a call today to confirm and told her I had asked her to cancel it. She said it had already been reserved so there would be a $10 cancellation fee...unbelievable!! I have reserved elsewhere and will never again consider this park!! read more

This is Probably the worst place we have stayed across the country... They have adorable cabins with swings on the porch. They say you need to bring your own linens. This is fine.. Although the cabins were did infested with bed bugs! My children and her family were eaten alive all night long. Then brought the bugs into our RV. We have had to bomb our home and RV.. The park manager has not responded or returned any phone calls, and we were just told he was part owner.. This has been and expensive, big inconvenience. Very nice park, clean, friendly staff. We arrived after hours and there was a "late arrival" sign I nut the manager came right over to greet us. Showers were clean and the park was well maintained. There is area for kids to play and a pet area for dogs. Pool is kinda small but looked very clean and inviting. Hot tub was available as well. This park has all you'd need. Dump station, propane, store. Would recommend and stay there again. read more

Centrally located, near good trails for mountain biking and hiking, with extremely friendly and accommodating staff and owners. Sites are lot style and nothing fancy, but we were here 2.5 weeks and we were happy. This is a busy park, even midweek. They have a small pool and hot tub which we did not have a chance to use. Store is well stocked and prices are reasonable. Showers and baths and laundry are clean and well-kept. Verizon and at&t signals fair to good; campground wifi could be better. Across the street is a state park with a good long trail for people and dogs. We'll be back! read more

Pulled in at 730. The office was closed, however, we were greeted by a super sweet and friendly staff member who was more than willing to answer all of our questions. We parked our rv and headed down to the showers and restrooms. Which were UNLOCKED and available even after hours. (Other reviews state otherwise and it was not the case for us) we showered in very clean showers and went back to our RV and the FREE wifi which was simple to use and worked perfectly. They even have a cute little dog run area which our dog played in before we hit the road in the morning. We will defiantly come back. read more

If i could review this place with zero stars, i would..... Walked into people standing around in office, owner talking about how she needs to talk to everyone there who was camping about whatever they would be doing wrong (very hostile, trailor trash). Wanted a tent site and pulled up to no grass (after which she said that our dogs were not allowed to wander out of our site under any circumstance, she didnt want dogs in tent site 75,76,77 and we had 75...to protect your gravel...???). absolutely no shade until about 7. only stayed there because they said pool would be open until 10 and it was 102 degrees at 4. went to pool at 5 to find locked pool and no one in office. dogs are allowed but they are super not dog friendly. the biggest dump ive ever stayed at and i do a lot of traveling. read more

I visited the rv park to visit some friends that were in town. Immediately upon turning in, I was stopped by the managers and was yelled at by the man and told "You can't park here!" and I hadn't even parked yet! They both went on and on about only being able to accommodate vehicles for PAYING guests and kept insisting, YOU CAN'T PARK HERE, and I couldn't get a single word in. He was spewing hatred and when he finally walked away, I told the wife I would park next door and walk over. She was ok with that. I visited my friends for just a few minutes, instead of the lunch bbq that we had planned because the man made me EXTREMELY uncomfortable there. I feel like, had I been out of my car, he would have been in my face......for just pulling into their precious RV park. HORRIBLE management! Wouldn't EVER recommend anyone stay here. read more

This is a great little RV Park. Dog run is always a nice bonus. Super clean showers and bathroom. We were welcomed before we even got out of our vehicle, check-in was first-class and super quick. We stayed here two days. Office staff was friendly. Laundry and bathroom facilities were very clean and well maintained. Internet worked well. Free coffee in the morning was a treat after two weeks of instant coffee in the rv. Didn't use the pool or spa. Traveled with a dog and took him on a walk outside the park to relieve himself. The surrounding area is beautiful, the location is great next to restaurants and across the street from the river. I love that they have a small store so I don't have to leave the property for things I forgot and I love their swimming pool and playground for the kids. The employees were all nice and the owners were on the property working so you know they care about their business. read more
