Color me unimpressed, like one of your French girls you are drawing with less-than-mainstream crayon colors you dug out of the dumpster because hey, the economy is terrible and we are not made of name-brand crayons any longer kids.
The tennis courts are in pathetic condition with the nets broken and sagging. As a former tennis pro, before the knee blew out like a candle in the wind that you actually use to get around for daily activities like walking and stuff, I always get sad when I see that. They are easy to keep in good working order. Them not being in good working order means like pouring one out for your homies, because there are kids and adults and retirees that are missing out on opportunities to get out there and improve their skills and have fun. Because a totally sagging net is not a good learning experience on how to actually effectively hit cross-court shots and get them in you like ~most of the time, until you hit 6.0 and you get sponsored and tour, being able to judge where the net is just happens to be a good learning tool as you get a little better day by day.
Don't get me wrong, it is nice to have that much green space in the neighborhood since there are a lot of apartments and homes nearby (I was in the area inspecting a house I was considering buying, decided not to, then went to eat my feelings down the street at Spanish Flowers as a consolation prize.) But this park has clearly seen better days. If the park were a hockey mom, or pig, well it could use some fresh lipstick to upgrayedd its park-ness. Leslie "Equality" Knope and Tom "Snake Juice" Haverford would be disappointed in the condition of the park - Ron Swanson would not care, that is Leslie's problem, and it will probably take tax dollars to fix at any rate. read more
