It was their mistake and instead of allowing my child to complete the full year there, they took it upon themselves to remove my child and tell me that I would not be able to get a district transfer. Please note when I viewed the TUSD elementary boundary map, my address qualifies for that school. I even came into the office during enrollment season and verified it with the staff there. I took the proper channels to ensure my child was qualified for that specific school. Not only did this stress me out, my child who was comfortable with her teacher and class, we had arrangements friends to help pick up my child is now emotional distraught to know that she has to start a brand new school that is even farther from our residence. Mind you the school we were attending was not full and had plenty of room, their reasoning to pluck my child out was to ensure all the upcoming kids in new development had a space (which i live in) The staff at TUSD is disorganized, rude and without taking responsibility of owning up to their mistake.

In one instance, a teacher used name-calling toward students--something that should never happen in any school, especially one that claims to reflect Christian values. Administration was equally frustrating. Concerns from both parents and students were consistently dismissed rather than addressed. Instead of feeling heard, I felt brushed off and judged. During a very difficult time in my personal life, I expected neutrality and professionalism, but instead experienced what felt like bias and a lack of basic understanding. Leadership was particularly concerning. While interactions could appear polite on the surface, the follow-through told a very different story. Decisions felt inconsistent and unfair, making it hard to trust the administration at all. The front office experience made things even worse. Shannon, who is often the first point of contact, was repeatedly rude and unprofessional in my interactions. The tone was unwelcoming and dismissive, which sets a terrible example for both families and students. First impressions matter, and in this case, they reflected a much deeper problem within the school culture. To be fair, not every staff member reflects this environment--Mrs. Quilcy stands out as kind, patient, and genuinely supportive of students. She deserves recognition for the way she treats families. Unfortunately, one positive example does not outweigh the broader issues. For a school that promotes faith and character, the lack of compassion, professionalism, and willingness to listen was deeply disappointing. I cannot recommend this school to families looking for a supportive and respectful environment

He's a retired teacher that comes and helps organize games for the kids like flag football, kick ball and basket ball. What a great guy! My daughter especially likes Mrs. Pakari. She's a 3rd grade teacher, she's very patient and all around a great teacher! I haven't always been fond of all my children's teacher but she's definitely one of the good ones! The ladies in the office are always helpful, especially Mrs. Phoenix. Overall, I think this is one of the best schools in the district!

They were purposely picking up my calls & hanging up on me. I had to call on a different phone to get through & then LIZ told me she can't forward me to the principal. I asked for her voicemail & she said her voicemail was not available--that it was a human being. I gave up trying to communicate with them at all. This school has been successfully sued many times & now I understand why. They do not put our children first & get upset when lunch is dropped off for them. I can go on & on about why this school is terrible. The teachers my children have had so far give no effort. Aside from Mrs. Finnegan she is a gem at the school!

Knowing my child is picked up on time, in a clearly labeled car by a uniformed staff member, gives me complete peace of mind. They use an amazing app that updates every 5-10 minutes, so I can see exactly what my child is doing throughout the afternoon. I also appreciate that I can plan ahead to meet the designated staff member who is scheduled to pick up my child (since pick-up staff may vary). Communication is excellent, you can text the driver and even the owner directly with any questions or requests, and they respond quickly. As a parent who once spent hours searching for a trustworthy transportation service for my 4-year-old, I can honestly say this program stands out for its professionalism, safety, and genuine care. It's such a relief to know my child is in good hands until I can get there. If you've had a negative experience with this school in the past, I encourage you to give it another chance.
