I can say that we have a positive experience with my child's teacher and she really do paid attention to each and everyone of her students. She responds to every questions and concerns that I had with my child and the lessons she had, and that is a big plus (communication wise) between a parent and the teacher. It has been a joy to see him become more independent and watch his love for learning grow every day. Both teachers are truly exceptional, and Ms. Soni has been particularly wonderful in helping us understand our son's strengths. She is always so approachable during pickup, taking the time to answer every question and providing the reassurance we need about his daily activities and progress. Knowing he is in such supportive hands with Ms. Soni and Mr. Christensen makes all the difference, and we feel very lucky to have such a dedicated team!

The overall environment felt negative and, at times, openly unkind. I witnessed staff speaking to students in ways that were belittling and inappropriate. In one instance, a teacher used name-calling toward students--something that should never happen in any school, especially one that claims to reflect Christian values. Administration was equally frustrating. Concerns from both parents and students were consistently dismissed rather than addressed. Instead of feeling heard, I felt brushed off and judged. During a very difficult time in my personal life, I expected neutrality and professionalism, but instead experienced what felt like bias and a lack of basic understanding. Leadership was particularly concerning. While interactions could appear polite on the surface, the follow-through told a very different story. Decisions felt inconsistent and unfair, making it hard to trust the administration at all. The front office experience made things even worse. Shannon, who is often the first point of contact, was repeatedly rude and unprofessional in my interactions. The tone was unwelcoming and dismissive, which sets a terrible example for both families and students. First impressions matter, and in this case, they reflected a much deeper problem within the school culture. To be fair, not every staff member reflects this environment--Mrs. Quilcy stands out as kind, patient, and genuinely supportive of students. She deserves recognition for the way she treats families. Unfortunately, one positive example does not outweigh the broader issues. For a school that promotes faith and character, the lack of compassion, professionalism, and willingness to listen was deeply disappointing. I cannot recommend this school to families looking for a supportive and respectful environment

I was given very detailed information about what the program would entail and was able to see a class in session before enrolling. As my son completes pre-k in a few weeks, I have to give a shout out to Ms. Mayte and the team (especially Ms. Seena and Ms. Miriam) for all they have done for us. My son started the school year pretty shy and apprehensive and has blossomed into a bubbly and social preschooler. It's been an amazing thing to see. The school gives us regular updates throughout the week on the Brightwheel app and anytime I've had any questions or needed some time to chat, I would hear back from his teachers promptly. We get photos through the app as well that are always exciting. Sometimes it's a snap of playtime, a celebration, or completing a milestone and receiving kudos. Along with the basics of letters and numbers, my son has gotten to learn about different cultural holidays and has loved telling us what he's learned. He always seems to be doing a new activity and doing the half day program has definitely been the right choice for our family. Ms. Mayte took the time to really get to know our son and has been instrumental in all areas of his development this year. I can only hope that he will continue to have great teachers for the rest of his academic journey!

Kids at the age of 3 only wants to play, but she has been so wonderful and try many different strategies to help my son learn academically. It was their mistake and instead of allowing my child to complete the full year there, they took it upon themselves to remove my child and tell me that I would not be able to get a district transfer. Please note when I viewed the TUSD elementary boundary map, my address qualifies for that school. I even came into the office during enrollment season and verified it with the staff there. I took the proper channels to ensure my child was qualified for that specific school. Not only did this stress me out, my child who was comfortable with her teacher and class, we had arrangements friends to help pick up my child is now emotional distraught to know that she has to start a brand new school that is even farther from our residence. Mind you the school we were attending was not full and had plenty of room, their reasoning to pluck my child out was to ensure all the upcoming kids in new development had a space (which i live in) The staff at TUSD is disorganized, rude and without taking responsibility of owning up to their mistake.

My experience with Williams Middle School was absolutely unacceptable. I took both of my children…read moreout because of the lack of support, teaching, and accountability. My sixth-grade daughter was harassed by students who wanted to fight her, and my eighth-grade son was bullied simply because of the way he dressed. What made it worse was feeling like the teachers did very little to actually stop the bullying. My children were GATE students, yet I still felt they were not challenged or given the academic support they deserved. When my son needed help preparing for high school, I felt completely on my own and had to handle everything myself. He now attends a private high school, and my daughter attends a private middle school because I refuse to keep them in an environment where I don't feel they are receiving the education they deserve. The basketball and volleyball programs were also extremely disappointing. The front office was not helpful, and overall, the school left me incredibly frustrated and disappointed. As a parent and taxpayer, I expect much better. My children deserve a safe, respectful, clean, and supportive environment. Williams Middle School did not provide that for my family, and my children will not be returning.
