I transferred him mainly because I wanted him to have more one-on-one attention and better nutrition options. Favorite Pros: 1) Ms. Kaja's kind, warm, nurturing demeanor and Montessori-inspired teaching style. 2) Nutritious meals/snacks and she encourages little ones to participate in preparation. See their menu updated weekly. They also brush after lunch. 3) Superfluous amounts of learning tools/toys/art projects for engaging very young minds. 4) Professional progress reports and picture montage shared at conference time. The school is located in a home but it is far from your typical home daycare aka just a converted Living Room. The whole first floor appears solely dedicated to the school plus a great outdoor space in the backyard. There are 3 separate learning rooms plus the kitchen and restroom. There is a park around the corner from the school as well that they visit occasionally. If you're looking for a lovely and trustworthy low-ratio child care facility that provides real meals and snacks (not just cut up, high sugar Costco treats) with a well-educated and experienced teacher, I highly recommend Strawberry School.

The overall environment felt negative and, at times, openly unkind. I witnessed staff speaking to students in ways that were belittling and inappropriate. In one instance, a teacher used name-calling toward students--something that should never happen in any school, especially one that claims to reflect Christian values. Administration was equally frustrating. Concerns from both parents and students were consistently dismissed rather than addressed. Instead of feeling heard, I felt brushed off and judged. During a very difficult time in my personal life, I expected neutrality and professionalism, but instead experienced what felt like bias and a lack of basic understanding. Leadership was particularly concerning. While interactions could appear polite on the surface, the follow-through told a very different story. Decisions felt inconsistent and unfair, making it hard to trust the administration at all. The front office experience made things even worse. Shannon, who is often the first point of contact, was repeatedly rude and unprofessional in my interactions. The tone was unwelcoming and dismissive, which sets a terrible example for both families and students. First impressions matter, and in this case, they reflected a much deeper problem within the school culture. To be fair, not every staff member reflects this environment--Mrs. Quilcy stands out as kind, patient, and genuinely supportive of students. She deserves recognition for the way she treats families. Unfortunately, one positive example does not outweigh the broader issues. For a school that promotes faith and character, the lack of compassion, professionalism, and willingness to listen was deeply disappointing. Our son was having problems with some of the students and they always reached out to discuss how to make things work. Teachers are great and helpful as well. Very caring. My son has special needs that HIRSCH doesn't have a program for but they made sure to have meetings with us so that we can place him in the right school (program). He's a retired teacher that comes and helps organize games for the kids like flag football, kick ball and basket ball. What a great guy! My daughter especially likes Mrs. Pakari. She's a 3rd grade teacher, she's very patient and all around a great teacher! I haven't always been fond of all my children's teacher but she's definitely one of the good ones! The ladies in the office are always helpful, especially Mrs. Phoenix. Overall, I think this is one of the best schools in the district!

I only went to this school because my family thought that it was a good place to go, but after I…read morehad family problems and had to go to the doctor, the teacher I had acted totally rude. The principal isn't that great either. My sister told me that one time her friend went to the office because he was called a brat then the principal replied by saying "Well your acting like one." Also when I was sick while also having those family problems I had to stay home from school for a week, the principal didn't believe my mom's note, she shook her head in disbelief. Also, when I was getting bad grades, my mom went to go have a meeting with the principal. When she came back she told me that the principal said that the teacher would be in before school to help me with my schoolwork and guess what? She wasn't there. The principal is really protective over the teacher.
