Been going there for 30 years with good service every time. Normally just getting watch batteries and watch repair.

I usually dont write a review until I've completed business. However, I'm making an exception…read morebecause the attention to detail and attentive-ness of these fine folks is remarkable. I recently accepted a project, from my Grandmother to get her ring repaired. (Read my next review why this was a "project") Well, I took it to Keva around 2:00p,m. today, got the estimate (because they have an onsite Jeweler-like you would expect from a jewlery store). Carla, was not only prompt in welcoming me to the store but was friendly as well. We had a laugh when she asked "Are you wanting it repaired or wanting to sell it?" because in all honesty, I just laid it on the counter and started rambling. Not telling her what I wanted at all. She took it over to Kevin the Jeweler, he took a look at it,came to the counter, introduced himself and explained what needed to be done. "One prong. $xx.xx amount the other three as well, $xx.xx amount" Cleaning, something else and something else included. I cant remember now. And I was on my way to confirm with my Grandmother the service and date the job was expected completed. I came back 15 minutes later, they had the job. They've actually been in business over 20 years. They had a small shop, over near a Dr. Office park. And moved to Jungle Jims somewhat recently.(There not in the Grocery itself. Their to the right of CiCis pizza. About in the smack dab center of the shopping strip) When you enter the shop, you'll think it's a mall Jeweler. Bright lights, modern/contemporary design. Very professional appearance. Kevin works on the jewelery in the open, but near the corner he's got his work station setup. You can tell he's a perfectionist by how clean the area is. And they are animal lovers. They've got a German Shepard, that patrols the back of the cases and is friendly without being annoying (licking your face, barking while your trying to talk. Pros-Attentiveness, prices, explanation of services, cleanliness. Variety of different types/styles of jewelry. (not a ton of one style and only one of something else.) ability to make custom settings on the spot. (see my next review why I'll never go to a shipping house jeweler again), an estimate in under 10 minutes, no pressure sales approach. Cons- Unless I over looked it, not a big selection of Mens jewelery. -----------------once I receive the ring back I'll update on quality of work------------------- Edit: I got the ring back recently and my Grandmother had an ear to ear smile. I thought the ring was a gift from my Grandpa, it was from her Grandmother. It's at least 65 years old, however after getting it back from Keva, it looked like a brand new ring. When I got it back, Kevin explained what all he had done with the setting, showed where one of the above mentioned prongs needed tightened and made the main diamond shine like a new car on a clear day. Kevin takes time to chat with His Customers. He wants you to come back, and it shows in His handling and explanation. My ring was a small potatoes job for him, however I felt like I was a priority because of his and Carlas attentiveness and willingness to listen and explain. The only days they are closed, Sunday and Monday.

Outstanding service and top quality workmanship. I took my wife's diamond bracelet in to have it…read morerepaired, it had some stones missing. When I got it back in a couple of weeks it looked like new. She was so pleased and happy and so was I. I had previously taken it to several local Dayton area jewelry shops and they all told me that it couldn't be repaired because the diamonds had a unique shape and were not available anymore. Keva not only found the stones but replaced them with expert precision. The bracelet looked like it had never been damaged at all! I will never take any jewelry for repairs to any other jeweler. Their prices are absolutely reasonable. Try them out you won't be disappointed.

Paula somehow became the lead picture on A World of Beads's opening picture, and dammit, she…read moredeserves it! I wasn't keen on coming to A World of Beads originally. I don't consider myself a creative being nor do I find something like making my own jewelry pleasurable. I wasn't a child that owned the bead making machine and I sure as hell didn't grow up just to do the exact same thing. However, my friend insisted that we come here because she found it relaxing and fun. The store itself itself is impressive. There's a large amount of beads from all of the world on display, all ready for you to make the next piece of jewelry of your dreams. It's overwhelming for someone who had no initial desire to make something. Luckily, the family running the operation are more than happy to assist you in finding the perfect project. My friend and I made basic bracelets. They pretty much set you up for success, starting with measuring your wrist for the perfect length bracelet and giving you all the possible bead options to choose from. After that comes what I believed would be the most difficult part: putting the beads onto the string. I think I have decently good hand eye coordination, but the idea of taking a tiny bead and looping it with a tiny string didn't seem like something I'd do easily or well. However, the process went much smoother than I thought it would. I ended up with a blue bracelet and red Christmas tree shaped beads intertwined. At first, I wasn't a huge fan because in my head it looked like something a child would put together in their spare time. I've warmed up to it and I honestly wear it everyday along with a few other bracelets that I've received from various places. The customer service at A World of Beads was amazing. They're all passionate and knowledgeable about the product they're selling. Considering I do not have these qualities in DIY jewelry, it was comforting to know that the people working genuinely cared about my entry into their jewelry world. Zach was particularly helpful in the whole process and very entertaining to talk too. I learned a lot about all the services they have to offer. In addition to the walk-in make your own jewelry, they offer party packages. They're all BYOB too so it's not just for kids; they host showers, bachelorette parties, basically everyone! I'd be surprised if this wasn't on the top of someone's list to add to their festivities if they knew it was an option. Also, they can do same day jewelry fixing/cleaning. I was told of multiple times where they were able to save someone's wedding day by fixing a necklace, tiara, etc. In the words of my favorite eccentric Food Network host Guy Fieri, sometimes you have to slow down and take a look around. I did so (at the encouragement of my friend), and found that jewelry making is actually very entertaining. I can't wait to go back and make something new!

My boyfriend said, "I'm going to wait outside". The store is filled to the brim with beads. Beads of every size, every color, and every style. I especially liked the Swarovski crystal beads because they were extra sparkly! I think they put these beads near the window to draw people in and I guess it must have worked! The counter in the middle of the store has all of the hooks and clasps you need to make your own jewelry. They also carry a large amount of twine, wire, and any other type of string you could need. The class schedule is impressive. Lots of techniques for lots of applications. Some are solely dedicated to the Swarovski beads! The classes are offered at this location and also at the other in Tri-County. For a full class schedule visit the website.
