Such a fantastic experience working with Koop on a few special pieces recently! They helped me clean up & refurbish old jewelry I was planning to sell... add cherished, collected charms to my bracelet... add gold to bring an heirloom wedding band to a size it can enjoyed again... secure the clasp on my husband's bracelet from an anniversary trip to Rome... and repair a dainty gold chain I wear daily! They are professional and incredibly friendly with beautiful work, fair prices, and good turnaround times! Absolutely will return to work with them again, and highly recommend to friends and family here in Cincinnati. read more

Koop Diamond Cutters made the engagement ring of my dreams!!!! My fiancé worked with Justin to design my ring, and I could not have designed a better one myself. Since the engagement was a surprise for me, we had to take the ring back to get the size of my ring finger and to adjust the ring. Justin and his team were so nice and friendly, I know my ring will always be in a good hands whenever I take it to them. TELL YOUR PARTNER TO GO TO KOOP!!!! read more

I walked into Koop Diamond Cutter without prior experience buying an engagement ring. I showed Morgan some photos that I had saved that I knew my girlfriend liked and Morgan showed me settings they had that were similar. I picked out a couple that were closest to what I thought were the best. Morgan gave me plastic ring size gauges to use to figure out the right size for the ring and passed my info on to Justin, whom was with another customer. Justin followed up via email with ballpark specs and price for options within my budget and answered some questions I had about clarity and color ratings. I met in person with Justin to look at examples and talk about the setting. I liked the settings they had on hand, but didn't love them. Justin told me some changes they could make for the setting I liked before I even asked. The changes he talked about were exactly what took the setting form one I liked to one I loved. Just gave me a date one when I could expect to have a ring by and I left. I was a little nervous that the setting wasn't exactly perfect and followed up, asking about going thinner. Justin recommend not going any thinner for strength integrity and ensured me that it would look plenty thin. I wasn't 100% sure, but trusted Justin. As soon as Morgan opened the box when I went to pick up the ring, it was beyond perfect! It was more beautiful than I thought a ring could be. I thought for a slight second that it looked too amazing too be the ring I was buying and that they mixed up the ring. They allowed me to use use multiple forms of payment, which let me take the fullest advantage my credit cards' rewards. read more

I recently ordered an engagement ring for my friend in China, as the design was picked by my friend in Shanghai by a photo shot, Justin was asked to copy the ring in the same design with the diamond clarity and color also picked by my friend. I was worried with the final look of the ring, it turns out really good, though not the kind of style i will pick. But i was amazed with Justin's patience in handling with the communication, as well as changed required along the way with his recommendation. I also had my wedding band redone with adding 8 small princess diamond on the band so even the ring slides to the side, you will still see the diamond.. i am very happy with my wedding band. Really good work and reasonable price.. if i have more friend want to have a customized ring to be made, Koop jewelry will certainly be my choice! read more

This jeweler is INCREDIBLE. Honest, real, trustworthy. They sized my vintage engagement ring, then essentially reconstructed the setting when the stones started falling out. They also made a gorgeous wedding band to nest underneath--and went through several revisions with me so that I could have exactly what I wanted. All prices were reasonable and they even threw in some work for free. I'll go to this family business for as long as I live in this city!! Thanks Koop!! read more

My husband wanted to "surprise" me with a family heirloom on our wedding day. We had his grandfathers rings, including a large sapphire. I had always wanted a Princess Diana-esque ring. Koop was able to see us, design the ring of my dreams, surround the sapphire with diamonds and melt down the bands to create my wedding bands. I couldn't be more happy. He wasn't sure if he could get it done by our wedding because it was only a few days away. Unknown to me, he was able to get it done, and my husband gave it to me at our wedding during our ring ceremony which was such a beautiful surprise! The ring is absolutely stunning and I am so grateful and thankful for it! read more

We are so glad we heard about Koop's back when we were talking about getting engaged - they are the only jeweler our family will go to! They designed both my husband and I's wedding rings/engagement ring, and have since taken care of any need we have had, including adding on to my wedding band and fixing some screw-back earrings that kept coming undone overnight. The fact that Justin Koop put up with my perfectionist vision of the Celtic knot on my hubby's ring until it was exactly the image I had in my head is a testament to the great service at Koop's. :) If you want a custom piece of jewelry they will exceed your expectations! read more

Definitely the best jewelry store in town. They made my engagement ring, and then both of our wedding bands, and they all turned out perfect! I had remembered my wife (then girlfriend) mentioning Koop once, saying that her grandmother has been going to them for years and loves them, so I knew I had to go check it out when I was ring shopping. I had done a fair amount of engagement ring research online, so I felt like I had a good idea of prices and what to look for before going in...except that I had no idea what I wanted the ring to be! I met with Justin Koop and he explained what the custom ring process was like, and helped me get an idea of what I wanted. I decided pretty much right away that I'd rather go with them than on online vendor. Justin definitely knows what he's talking about, and came across as genuinely caring, not just trying to make a quick sale. At one point, he asked what my budget was, I told him what I wanted to spend, and that was the only discussion of price. A week later I met with him again to look at some diamonds, and he showed me a few and told me they'd all fit in my budget, he didn't try to upsell me on larger/more expensive stones--he got the best diamonds he could for the ring I wanted in the price I wanted. Based on my online research, I got a same-quality diamond on a custom-made ring for the same price as a lot of the low-cost online diamond companies. I then got to see a rendering of what the ring would be, and had some concerns that it looked too chunky, but he said the real product would look exactly like I wanted. So, trusting him, I picked up the ring at 3:30 on the Friday I was proposing...no time to change it if it wasn't perfect! Thankfully, it was better than I could have expected, and she said yes. Fast forward 8 months, and my fianceé and I went back for our wedding bands. Again, super helpful and they were able to match my wife's wedding band exactly to her engagement ring. I picked one of their core designs for my ring. Again, I felt like we got great value for the price, and we loved the finished products! The whole Koop team is friendly and eager to help you find--or create--exactly what you want. When I have need of more fine jewelry, I know where I'm going. read more

Koop Diamond Cutters is one of Cincinnati's best-kept secrets! Don't be fooled by their meager decor; the Koops manufacture and repair fine jewelry and offer unmatched service. They are honest, knowledgeable, and (to put it simply) good people and trustworthy fine jewelry experts. I grew up in a family of jewelers, so I was reluctant to take my jewelry to "outsiders" once my family had aged out of the business. I remembered hearing about Koop Diamond Cutters years ago from a friend who worked for Tiffany & Co., so I took a ring there to be sized. Impressed by that experience, I went to Koops for other jobs as they arose. When my now future son in law asked me for advice about buying an engagement ring for my daughter, I recommended Koops without any reservations. As anticipated, Justin took great care to manage expectations and deliver on promises. Per my daughter, "He did a fabulous job. My ring is perfect!" I can unequivocally endorse Koop Diamond Cutters for repairs and custom manufacturing. I feel as confident with the Koops as I did with my own family! read more

We have been working with Butch Koop since the mid-80's and even though we moved from Cincinnati in 1999, we still only trust Butch, and now Justin, with any major repairs or custom design pieces. They are honest, fair, and do incredible work. From my engagement/wedding ring to a yellow diamond ring Butch had designed and my husband bought for our 20th, to totally redoing my original engagement ring for our 30th anniversary ....I get so many complements on my jewelry, because of the work of Koop Diamond Cutters! It's a real gem in Cincinnati and a hidden secret. But check them out. There's not much of a "store" but that doesn't matter. What matters is the magic they do with gemstones and diamonds! read more

My wife and I found this gem of a store on accident. They were able to recreate a white gold estate ring only in Rose Gold for my wife's engagement ring. It is absolutely stunning and very affordable. We were so impressed with their work that we went ahead and had them make our custom wedding bands as well! We couldn't be happier with their service! What really won us over is how Justin Koop was as excited about making our rings as we were to have them custom made. Their hard work and dedication to do what they love provided us with the perfect rings to make our wedding the best it could be. Thank you! read more

We would highly recommend using Koop Diamond Cutters. We were looking to replace my engagement ring that I had lost. I had some diamonds that had been my mother's and grandmother's and I wanted to incorporate them into the design of the new ring. Justin made a stunning new ring for me using all the diamonds I had, plus a magnificent new one that represents our 40th anniversary. He also used the gold from my original wedding band in the new ring. I love that this new ring has a part of three generations incorporated into it. It was a great experience! read more

Koops creates custom jewelry. I have gotten several pieces from them. Their pieces are well made. They have also had to fix several pieces from other places.
