Food was about what I expected - not amazing but not bad. I ordered beef tacos and they were fine. The rice was a little plain but tasted okay when combined with the beans. We went at lunch time on a Thursday and had very quick service. Our food was brought to the table within a few minutes of ordering and it was warm and fresh.

Stopped in for lunch on a Sunday. Very quiet in the restaurant, my party of 5 was seated promptly. I removed a star for the dirty table we were seated at and the menus could use some sanitizing. Our servers were attentive and responded to our requests quickly. My food was delicious. The steak fajita quesadilla was so good! The guacamole was on point. The chips and salsa were refilled a few times. The chips were fresh and warm. I would definitely stop by again if in the area.

Queso and guac apps we ordered. 1 tiny bag of chips to share across both mini sizes.

We ordered the queso and quac apps. This is what we received. These are not apps, they are tiny sizes. We received one tiny bag of chips to share across both. This cost $14.98. Not worth it AT ALL! These are no appetizers, they're a side or add on that should cost way less. I ordered the verde quesadilla that is supposed to be topped with verde sauce. As you can see there is barely any on it. There was no sauce inside and NO CHEESE! This is ridiculous!! Absolutely not worth it!

Great food and service! Always a nice experience coming here. If your craving delicious Mexican food at a decent price, I highly recommend this spot.

Decent, good chips and salsa gratis. The menu says vegetarian burrito option potato or spinach I ordered potato and spinach and it came out just spinach. The chicken enchilada was straight chicken and could have used a little flavor or additional anything. The relleno was large, well stuffed with cheese and pretty much seeded. My pet peeve of not having a spoon in my utensil setting was realized with all the red sauce come on.

Grilled chicken with grilled onions and shrimp topped with Mexican sausage and grilled pineapple smothered in a creamy cheese sauce.

Asked for s special request.. Pork Fajitas with well done peppers and onions. Just outstanding and never an issue with special requests. Service is always friendly and inviting.

Stopped in for lunch as we were driving through. It's a cute Mexican joint, typically decorated with Mexican flair and colors. The waitress was very nice and service was fast. The chips and salsa were on our table within minutes and were served warm and were fresh! The salsa was thin but good with a touch of kick. Our food was also very delicious- they had tamales on the menu which a lot of places don't anymore. These were really good!! The pork was tender and well seasoned. I also had a chicken enchilada which was moist and also yummy. The beans and rice were good as well- not over fried or under seasoned, just right! I hope to pass through Newark again soon to go back!

Prices are fairly reasonable and they have a lunch menu which allows for a budget friendly, smaller portioned mid-day meal. Interiors are festive and ambiance was nice, but they haven't done a great job with upkeep as paint on the walls was chipped away in places and some of the dishes had minor chips around the edges. Meals start off with complimentary chips and salsa, which hit the spot for something to munch on as we were hungry driving up the length of Seneca Lake from Watkins Glen. To start off, we ordered the nachos with cheese (3.5/5) which had a great blend of cheese without that overly strong cheesy flavor. For meals, we got the vegetarian plate, a chicken chimichanga, and a side chicken quesadilla. Portion sizes of each of these were huge and perfect for sharing. The vegetarian plate (4/5) consisted of an enchilada, a tostada with salad, and rice. The chicken chimichanga (4.5/5) came with 2 mini chimichangas, a side salad, rice, and beans. The chicken quesadilla (4/5) was a generous portion of shredded chicken in a really delicious tasting corn tortilla which was very flavorful. Overall, everything was well above average in taste and did a great job in filling us up for a late lunch. Service (3.5/5) was warm and friendly for the most part, but it did take a while for the waitress to come over to take our order for meals after initially getting our drinks and appetizers. While it wasn't a big deal to us, we were overcharged by a dollar on the chicken quesadilla over what was listed on the menu price (it was such a generous portion and worth the price, so we didn't mention anything). Overall, Taqueria Los Amigos is a solid option for a Mexican meal in downtown Geneva.

What an incredible experience…read more This restaurant gives meaning to the saying, "never judge a book from its cover." The reason I say that is, it's unassuming from the outside. Connected to an auto repair shop to the left and liquor store on the right. Arriving, we saw only a handful of tables that weren't cleared off from past customers. We waited by the front door not realizing you order from the window which is hidden in the corner. We were greeted by a friendly young lady and after we placed in our orders, we sat ourselves and waited for our food to arrive. The first thing to arrive was the guacamole with chips. We found the guacamole to be less chunky as we'd like, but nevertheless it was pleasant. The chips were overly salted in our opinion but did not take away from the dish. Then came the al pastor tacos. These were absolutely delicious. The pork was wonderfully marinated, and the toppings added to the entire taco rather than overpower the pork. We also opted in for the shrimp tacos, which were also quite delicious. Ordering a couple of empanadas, one steak and one al pastor, these were phenomenal. Taking a bite of each, you can identify everything inside these perfectly fried parcels. Very very good. I can confidentially say, this is the best Mexican food I've ever eaten and easily beats any of our Mexican restaurants here in Rochester. But a fair warning to future patrons. Don't expect to walk in and expect a full-service restaurant. Waiting times can be a little longer than expected as well. But the upside is receiving delicious, made-to-order food made with love and care. We'd make the trip to Sodus just to revisit this restaurant.

Every time I lament the fact I spent money to eat there... I had read that this was a good one on the 'Where Syracuse Eats' Facebook page, which can be a pit of snakes at times. I decided to bookmark it, as a 'just in case' I was ever passing through Waterloo. To be honest, I was a bit skeptical when my mom and I walked in around 5:30-5:45 p.m. and not a soul was in the place. Apparently, people in Waterloo eat dinner around 6 p.m. so the place was popping as we were eating and then leaving. My mom is a vegetarian so we shared the vegetarian combo D plate. I ate the tostaguac and she had the enchilada, and we shared the rice. I normally find the rice at Mexican restaurants to be underwhelming, even at my favorite spot in Detroit. This was delicious and I ate it! (There may have been some debate on who should get the last few bites of rice!) I also ordered a side of their hot salsa. I think this was $2 but it was so good and so worth it. The regular salsa was fine but not spicy at all. Service was fast once we decided what to order. No pictures because I was too excited by an actual Mexican place within a reasonable distance from me! Skip the places in Syracuse and come to La Fiesta Brava!
