Same, huge, fresh Romaine lettuce! Yum

We really appreciate the fruits & vegetables from here. It's a smaller scale, clean, well run produce market with really fresh fruits & vegetables. The cashiers are pleasant & know their stuff. Parking lot can be annoying with its tight spots & configuation. There are plenty of spaces on the street tho, too!

I chose the Chinese eggplants because they were the most beautiful of the 4 types of eggplant available

The quality, variety and price of the produce is unparalleled in any other retail market in the area. Sometimes I come in with a specific list and other times I just see what looks amazing. There are typically samples of the seasonal fruits so you can decide which of the 8 nectarine/peach varieties you like best. It gets CROWDED on the weekends so if you are in a rush, or tend to get grumpy, claustrophobic or annoyed, just stay away. The aisles and parking will be a thing that haunts you for days. If you can just be chill, drive around to find a decent street spot, or brave the lot with stupid, inconsiderate drivers, then navigate your cart with humor, you'll be fine. Otherwise, come on a weekday. If you stick with the produce, you'll be surprised by how much you can get for a decent price. If you start pulling things off their grocery shelves (great quality items), that's where you will end up with sticker shock. Bon Appetit!

This is the best fresh food I always do shopping in this beautiful market and today I decided to write a review just thank montery market for the great service thank you all .

Ah yes and yes! It's a must checkout place even if you don't buy anything. I unfortunately do since I'm a regular customer. I come twice a month, will depends sometimes I went through a phase where I came here almost every week. I had to cut down lol But I love their fresh farmer market veggies. One downside of it is I wish the place is a bigger, parking can be hard sometimes if you go in high peaks traffic hours. Best time to go is really early or between 2-3pm after lunch with the traffic dies down a bit. Also wish the place was a bit cleaner, but then again what do you expect most farmer market places like this are similar so that's not a big deal as long as their fresh veggies and produce is cleaned that's all that matters. I usually come here for their fresh veggies and mushrooms they have all sorts of different ones. FYI if you love bagels and cream cheese like me definitely grab a few here and their cream cheese they got is so good. I'm all about fresh homemade bagels and have high expectations of it being in a family that are in the bagel business.

Great vegetables and fruits. Everything is fresh. For some reason, avocados here are not the best in town. Everything else is superb.

Even though this is a cash only location which also provides two ATM machines inside, we can always find the needed necessities from fruit, to veggies, to flowers and you pick options. A pretty decent sized establishment, which is open every day of the week except on Wednesdays. They have a pretty decent sized parking lot and on the premises most of the time you'll find up to two food vendors. This time around I really enjoyed the flower picking option which you can get a very large bundle for five dollars then you can also visit outback of their establishment of the very large harvesting area of their crops. Lots of produce provided by lots of local vendors brought in by large bin loads.. This time, I also noticed that they have peanuts that you can pick from a bin inside as well. The best part of all is their pricing that is offered on their produce. Again, great location, surrounded by great wineries as well.

I'm writing this review as a person who doesn't like durian, but embraces product diversity…read more There's a pretty good article out on the web from KQED's Luke Tsai titled "A Swanky New Durian Shop Opens In The East Bay". I would describe the left side of the shop as a lounge with durian themed stuffed trinkets and the right as freezers filled with multiple varieties of durians. We were looking for a present for my mother-in-law. Typically, most of our family members hide while my wife and mother-in-law partake in their consumption of thawed durian from Costco. As we looked at the wall of golden packaged durian, a salesperson approached. Our salesperson was a young woman who sensed our confusion and helped us through the possible choices. She mentioned that if we liked Costco durian, that is the Musang King variety. She took us through some similarly priced options and their tasting qualities. Lastly, she mentioned that all the durian were flash frozen in liquid nitrogen to lock in the time they were ripe and ready to eat. I was pushing my wife towards one that was on sale and had notes of sweeter and milder flavor. Instead, she chose the more premium, stronger flavored, Black Thorn variety. We'll see how the kids react when we crack open that one! The fruits seemed to weigh around 4.5-5.5 lbs. Depending on which one you get, you'll likely be getting close to or over $100. Remember to bring cash as they have a 10% off cash discount. Also note that they recommend that you thaw them for around 5 hours prior to eating, so make sure you plan for that! Hope this store is able to stay in the area! Very cool and so unique - never seen a store like it for durian. Maybe someday, they'll sell tasting portions for people to try smaller portions.

We pulled in through the gates and saw a small field of flowers to the left, along with a shed-like structure and a house in the back. The right side was pretty empty; I'm guessing whatever was growing there had already been harvested. We stood around for a few mins pretty confused about how it all worked. We found a sign saying that CSA members get to cut for free and a pricing chart for non-members. There were clippers and a knife sitting next to a stack of boxes, so we grabbed one of each and headed for the garden. The selection wasn't quite what we expected, but we still got a great bunch of flowers and sunflowers. Some were a little difficult to access from the walkways, so we just tried to be as careful as possible. When we were done, we tried to pay, but there wasn't really a designated place to leave money, so we just stuck it under a box inside the shed area (I hope they got it!). Very cute place! A little confusing for first-timers, but overall a nice experience.

Starting with an arresting blow-up of Italian movie star Monica Vitti behind the checkout, it's a visually pleasing emporium because it's not overcrowded with idiosyncratic products. The wine collection is particularly interesting with labels unknown to me. I've been tempted by the delectables in the Grab & Go section, but I've demurred for the sake of discretion. In fact, having almost no knowledge of any of these products, I only recently bought something here because I want to support them. I got a box of Rooibos tea and a jar of Hawaiian masala (Photo 10). I look forward to buying more in the future, though one thought I had was that this store would benefit from samples. On a previous visit, there was a bakery pop-up in front (Photo 8), and I think more of that activity could encourage more in-store traffic. It'll be interesting to see how this business evolves.
