Michele is awesome!! I was excited and nervous a bit with extension process but that quickly faded. Her attention to detail and understanding the look I was going for was 100% met. I am Loving my new hair and thrilled with the results. She has great communication and follow up and highly recommend her. I sent her pictures of what I was wanting and naiThank you so much Michele! *after going to Michele for the several Months , I ended up having a financial crisis and during a move up maintenance appt i was advised to come back the next day for a brand new install. She realized the integrity of the plastic tip would break and needed a night to prepare. I was not prepared for this $$$ and she was nice enough to make a payment schedule. She did not have to do this but did. Two weeks until December I got text that due to her adding 19 new clients she had one apt available , which did not work for me. A few days ago I received another text I was not maintaining my hair appts all year which I have text messages that don't show ANY issue . She does a great job but IF you miss an appointment on her time expect to be cut off. Really disappointed in her keeping me the whole year instead of directly giving me a warning of some kind or telling me Look if you don't come at this exact date - I can't service at all. Her contract is a legal Formality and acknowledgment not a clear dated schedule where a client is cut off...i had no problem signing it, my problem is she waited all year when we could fixed this. The last time I saw her she was saying everyone was having personal Issues and some bad health one of her clients was in , and having to remove her hair because of an MRI etc. My hair is not matted and will be going elsewhere. I called the owner Aimee as I use to work next door and we chatted about both sides it was a fair conversation but for obvious reasons , she didn't want to get in the middle. My advice is be upfront and not pull clients along months and months after them coming to you. I went to her for hair extensions and she gauged which kind of extensions would be best for my hair. I have purple hair, and Michelle went out of her way to color the extensions using my preferred product (Guy Tang), so they would match my hair completely. Michele didn't charge me for the specialty hair color (she had to use five boxes!), only for the labor. Michele is also a teacher of extension hair techniques, giving lectures and classes throughout the local and Bay Area, so her placement of my extensions were truly done the right way. She knows how to work with clients that have hair fall, and explains the best way to circumvent it. Michele does not charge the exorbitant prices other salons do, she sells you the hair extensions at cost, not retail, but you're still getting the best attention to detail she provides. My full head of extensions were 1/3 of the cost of retail pricing, because Michele believes she doesn't have to charge retail prices to make money, she's not a scammer. Michele is probably the most honest hairstylist I have ever been to, she gives you the best experience, using high quality products, without you having to leave the salon completely bankrupt. I reached out to Michelle via Yelp last week to set up a consultation. I had lots of questions. She instantly responded on Yelp and via text as I sent her my number. She answered my questions and we set up a consultation. I was supposed to meet with her but we had to reschedule due to unforeseen circumstances. She was great with communication and rescheduling which I appreciate very much. On my next appointment we were finally able to meet and she gave me my consultation. She answered my questions and saw exactly what I needed. Unfortunately she wasn't able to help me but she was able to refer me to another professional that could potentially take care of my needs as I have very thin and brittle hair which has occurred due to stress and personal health issues. She could have easily taken my money and given me any type of extensions as I am not very knowledgeably in what would work best for my situation. She told me that she was concerned that I'd do more damage to my hair than good and again, referred me to someone that may potentially be able to help. Michele's honesty and helpfulness deserves all the stars she can get. She isn't out there to take your money.
