Michele is amazing!!! She's the sweetest person you'll ever meet. I originally saw her work on my friend and was instantly convinced to go to her cause i couldn't even tell she had extensions on. I'm from San Francisco but i didn't mind the drive to Monterey at all! that's how amazing she is. Booking a consultation / appointment was super easy on her website. During the consultation she color matched my hair perfectly and I was in and out in about 25 mins! Came back literally about a week later and had the hair installed. During the whole process she made sure i was comfortable and she's soooo sweet to talk to! Not awkward at all. My hairs a little past shoulder length and we went for mermaid hair so about 20-22 inches. I addressed some concerns on some blonde bands from my previous bleach job and she did an AMAZING job covering that and blending it to my extensions. She also trimmed them so that it'll melt right into my hair. She also made sure that even if i tied up my hair you wouldn't be able to see the extensions. I thought the extensions would feel super heavy but they're honestly really lightweight even with 6 packs of hair in my head I can say a million good things about her but just take a look at my before and after read more

I had the best experience getting my extensions done by Michelle, she is very knowledgeable in her art form of hair extensions. Michelle was very meticulous of each placement of the I-tip extension and made each placement seamless and natural. As someone who works in the beauty industry as well, it is very hard to find someone to do services for you that you can fully trust and appreciate their work esthetically. Michelle's work on social media, hair consultation, and suggestions to color and length it was a no brainer that she can execute what I wanted. I highly highly recommend Monterey extensions! read more

Monterey Extensions - Love love love my hair! Thank you Michelle - Hair Stylists Near Me - Monterey, California

Michele definitely knows what she is doing! it started with my consultation where she went over the details, length, color etc. Right from the start i knew i was in good hands, Michele was super friendly, knowledgeable, and affordable! She is definitely not in for the money, but for the passion. After the consultation I proceeded with my extension! let me say it was PERFECT. I loved the overall result, extensions where matched perfectly by michele. The installation was quick, hair was real and weightless. Michele really went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect! She surpassed my expectations. I was a bit nervous about deciding to get extensions but trust me! michele is the best out there. Did i mention she is a dreamcatcher certified instructor! that goes to show, if you're looking for extensions..she is your girl! thank you so much michele! definitely recommend. read more

The best! I moved to Monterey from Los Angeles and thought I'd have to let go of "my" beautiful long hair/extensions. Her knowledge and care are the perfect combination. The hair she orders is top notch, silky smooth, 100% flawless color match, her installment was gentle and meticulous. I couldn't be happier that I've found my go to. Client for life! read more

Michele is awesome!! I was excited and nervous a bit with extension process but that quickly faded. Her attention to detail and understanding the look I was going for was 100% met. I am Loving my new hair and thrilled with the results. She has great communication and follow up and highly recommend her. I sent her pictures of what I was wanting and naiThank you so much Michele! *after going to Michele for the several Months , I ended up having a financial crisis and during a move up maintenance appt i was advised to come back the next day for a brand new install. She realized the integrity of the plastic tip would break and needed a night to prepare. I was not prepared for this $$$ and she was nice enough to make a payment schedule. She did not have to do this but did. Two weeks until December I got text that due to her adding 19 new clients she had one apt available , which did not work for me. A few days ago I received another text I was not maintaining my hair appts all year which I have text messages that don't show ANY issue . She does a great job but IF you miss an appointment on her time expect to be cut off. Really disappointed in her keeping me the whole year instead of directly giving me a warning of some kind or telling me Look if you don't come at this exact date - I can't service at all. Her contract is a legal Formality and acknowledgment not a clear dated schedule where a client is cut off...i had no problem signing it, my problem is she waited all year when we could fixed this. The last time I saw her she was saying everyone was having personal Issues and some bad health one of her clients was in , and having to remove her hair because of an MRI etc. My hair is not matted and will be going elsewhere. I called the owner Aimee as I use to work next door and we chatted about both sides it was a fair conversation but for obvious reasons , she didn't want to get in the middle. My advice is be upfront and not pull clients along months and months after them coming to you. Update your contract as well to include if you don't come on thsi exact date I'm Kicking you off my books. Glad she was able to make a short term profit. read more

I have been an admirer of Michele's work for quite some time! I have seen her work on Yelp, Instagram, and in person at Glamology Beauty Lounge in Salinas. Yesterday I was finally able to bring my dream hair to fruition! From the Consultation for my extensions earlier this week to the time that I walked out the door, she has proved to be a true expert. Michele's work is like magic. Her attention to detail is exceptional, she is professional, and a true visionary! I told her what I wanted and she put the whole package together-- almost effortlessly! Honestly, I thought I knew what I wanted, walking in, but now that I have my fabulous new extensions, I can honestly say she exceeded my expectations. She has the hair extension game on lock! I know I am truly in good hands with Michele. She has a client for life-- read more

Let's get straight to the point. My hair was damaged and broke off, so i decided to go darker. Tbh, i felt insecure about my uneven hair, until Michele did her magic. Not only was she spot on with her placements, but she also acknowledged me about the health of my hair, and how to take care of it. When Michele does my hair, I feel safe and cared for by her warm welcoming. If you are from the Bay Area, she is definitely worth the drive for some BOMB hair. read more

Michele is a miracle worker, and the best customer service as well! I came in to see her in a complete panic over an extension snafu. As a victim of hair loss, I have been wearing extensions to mask the uneven and slow growth of my hair. I gave her a one week timeline to make me normal again before an important event in my life. She talked me through the different options, and my favorite part was that she made all the pricing extremely crystal clear so there were no surprises. She spoke in depth about why the extensions she uses are the best. She clearly is an expert in the area. We ordered the hair. It came in a few days later and she fit me in on her day off in the late evening! She even went to FedEx to pick it up so we didn't have to wait another day to install it - talk about above and beyond! I have never had a stylist do that for me before. She was a complete perfectionist. When she was done I could not believe how beautiful it looked. I've had every kind of extension you can imagine in the last year and these are by far the best, prettiest, most natural and most comfortable - and they weren't even the most expensive. And the cherry on the top is that she is a beautiful soul inside and out, and a joy to talk to and be around. Thank you, Michele for always finding time for me, answering my questions thoroughly and promptly, and taking care of of my hair! I won't go to another person for hair extensions. read more

I just went to Michelle and had my extensions put in, I am in LOVE! The extensions are amazing, and I cannot wait to show them off. Michelle is professional, friendly, and extremely talented. Did I mention she is an instructor for the extension company?! Color matches perfectly, they're blended extremely well, if I didn't tell someone they were extensions- no one would know. I drove 2 and a half hours to come have my hair done here, and I'll be driving back to get them moved up when I need to! read more

Michele is AMAZING!!! She did my friends extensions and you literally couldn't even tell. I wanted to try it. She was really sweet and listened to my concerns, stress hair loss, as well as the fact that I wear my hair up EVERYDAY and needed to still be able to do that for work. She really took her time and was precise about every piece and made sure that it worked for me. I am so excited with my look and the confidence that it gave me is just the cherry on top! I've had nothing but compliments and no one can even tell! If you want proof I am the photo in the pink smock she posted!! Thank you Michele for helping me feel fabulous!!!! read more

If you're looking for extensions in the Monterey Area, look no further! Michele is the best hands down 100% she is so knowledgeable in ALL extensions you won't need google to research anything she's loaded with info. She has years of experience doing all types of extensions, so she knows what she's talking about( did I mention she's a hair extension trainer!!). What she does is a specialty so please don't confuse her for just any ol hair stylist. She is an extension artist!!! She customized my hair placement to fit me which is HUGE and asked me all the right questions as many as she needed to understand my lifestyle. She has given me the hair I have dreamed of having, also she is one of the sweetest people I've ever met. Her work is super clean and she works pretty fast. I will definitely be going back to her!!! And I also forgot she is pretty affordable which is always a ++. She really does care about your hair, take a chance with Michele, I promise you won't regret it!! She also responds really fast!! :-) read more

I was curious about getting extensions so I looked around came across Michele's work and I almost thought it was too good to be true the pictures could never do the work she does justice she was amazing at explaining everything to me with an in person appointment and showing me all the options I didn't even know About she is so knowledgeable and passionate about it trust me it is worth every penny don't give it a second though I did and I regret I didn't go sooner I originally meant to only get extensions for my wedding but I get so many compliments and it looks so natural even after weeks that I'm not sure I'll ever want to not have them, my own hair is thin, very slow growing and brittle I absolutely love these long term extensions I feel no pain they don't fall out or tangle up like you see with the clip ins I can have a ponytail up which I do when I'm around the house I'm so thankful for her work it's a beautiful feeling of self confidence and happiness I feel with my new lovely long hair its been about 4months and like I said you won't regret this magic she performs always look for those who love what they do and helping others and you won't be disappointed read more

This review is long overdue. BL: Michele is amazing! She is such a professional and a perfectionist plus she is fun and a good conversationalist. She is very knowledgeable so my consultation appointment with her was a learning experience. Also, finding the right color of extensions for my hair was no problem. She skillfully blended two shades (black and dark brown) to match my hair. As far as service goes, she's top notch! She's very efficient, friendly, and accommodating. Thank you, Michele! read more

Just got my hair done today! So happy I came to Michele she is amazing if you want the perfect extensions this is your place!

I've had extensions before and didn't like how they looked but I wanted longer hair again. I reached out to Michelle via Instagram, she responded so quickly and called me to set up an appointment. She answered all my questions and worked with my budget. A week after my initial appointment I had my new hair installed and it looked AMAZING! I get so many compliments on my hair now and no one believes me when I tell them it's extensions. If you are looking to get longer, fuller hair you have to go see her, she's an extension goddess! read more

I was originally not happy with my hair; it's blonde and the ends were this nasty burnt orange color (a lot of warmth going on throughout my hair). I went to Michele to talk about hair extensions, as I thought that would be my solution. Come to find out; after meeting with Michele, that I didn't just need extensions, I needed a full color correction! Michele took me under her wing in an instant. She had me scheduled within a few days out! Perfect! After sitting with Michele for most of the day, talking and laughing with her, she turned my head of hair into an art piece! I wAS COMPLETELY SHOCKED! I NEVER imagined in a million years MY hair would/could look this great! She not only corrected my color, she gave me the hair I've always dreamed of! (Icy platinum blonde!) Now, I FINALLY can get the extensions I originally wanted! Michele's work is not only professional, she is downright the most down to earth person you could ever meet! I'm so grateful I not only have beautiful hair, I've gained a friendship for a lifetime! read more

If you are someone who is looking for extensions at a good price... this is your girl!! I was afraid to buy extensions online because they wouldn't match, but she matched me and most importantly taught me how to put them in, how to take care of them, etc. She is also very responsive when I've had questions. Will post pics of them with my wedding hairstyle! read more

Michele is amazing! She immediately makes you feel comfortable, and describes the process for your hair. I went to her for hair extensions and she gauged which kind of extensions would be best for my hair. I have purple hair, and Michelle went out of her way to color the extensions using my preferred product (Guy Tang), so they would match my hair completely. Michele didn't charge me for the specialty hair color (she had to use five boxes!), only for the labor. Michele is also a teacher of extension hair techniques, giving lectures and classes throughout the local and Bay Area, so her placement of my extensions were truly done the right way. She knows how to work with clients that have hair fall, and explains the best way to circumvent it. Michele does not charge the exorbitant prices other salons do, she sells you the hair extensions at cost, not retail, but you're still getting the best attention to detail she provides. My full head of extensions were 1/3 of the cost of retail pricing, because Michele believes she doesn't have to charge retail prices to make money, she's not a scammer. Michele is probably the most honest hairstylist I have ever been to, she gives you the best experience, using high quality products, without you having to leave the salon completely bankrupt. She also doesn't try to upsell you on anything, she gives you exactly what you ask for. Michele is definitely the holy grail of hairstylists. If you go to her, you won't regret it. read more

Monterey Extensions by Michele!! Wow, mind-blowing experience by far. Michele is a hair god, she definitely exceeded my expectations giving me mermaid dream hair. While doing my long research of extensions application methods and finding someone I trusted, came across Michele on Yelp. Instantly fell in love with her work and reached out. She scheduled me for a consultation and let me tell you, I left the salon feeling so relieved and excited because I knew I had found my hair person. When she installed, she wanted me to feel at ease and ask anything. Once I left the salon we kept in touch and she was always available if i had any questions or concerns regarding the extensions. My hair, wow ladies, my hair looks amazing. The extensions are in place, look beautiful and i have mermaid hair Love her so much. read more

Michele is officially my favorite person in Monterey. I recently had extensions installed by a well known stylist from a different town, but it was the worst experience of my life. My extensions were only two weeks old so the bonds were practically cemented in and nobody wanted to deal with that, I scrambled to look for anyone that could help me out and luckily found Michele. Somehow, she was able to fit me into her busy schedule and help me right away (even though she nearly missed her doctors appointment because of me!) She's so sweet and caring and she is the best extensions educator out there, I learned so much from her. I thought it was my first and last time experimenting with extensions after the nightmare I went through, but Michele completely changed my outlook on them. She's literally the hair extensions queen and I'm so so glad I met her! read more

I can't say enough good things about Michele and her work. I had been admiring her work for several months before deciding to book with her and let me tell you, waiting so long is the only regret I have. If you want beautiful results with a hair extension expert, book with Michele! read more

Wow I can't explain how happy I am with the finished product! I had Michele bead my extensions into my hair. I was looking for more length and volume to my hair and she nailed it! This is my first time getting exstensions placed into my hair and she did an amazing job educating me and making sure I was doing what would be best for my type of hair. She made me feel super comfortable and I'm excited to go back in a couple weeks for a check in! Thanks Michele your amazing! read more

It's amazing how this woman is able to make my hair dreams come true! There are many salons out there that are great but very few are amazing and affordable. I love how honest Michele is and how she finds the best product for you and never tries to up-sell you at all. I cannot describe how detailed she is while always making sure that the we are on same page about everything. Hair is so personal for me and there have only been a handful of individuals whom I trust to touch it. She is so good at educating her clients and always makes sure that it's super blended that people can't tell whether it's extensions or your natural hair. Let's just say that my guy friends who despise extensions just fell in love with my hair! read more

This is Monterey's best kept secret regarding hair!! I've had a couple "move up" appointments since and she is an absolute delight to work with- I so look forward to my time with her because not only is she amazing at hair, but she is the sweetest and kindest person. I had considered hair extensions for a long time before finding her, but never bit the bullet until my wedding- now they are apart of my continuous hair routine as she provides quality hair and amazing service!! I found Michele on Instagram and was so excited to have found an extensions place nearby! She responded quickly even during covid and had the answers to all my questions! Schedule a consultation and see what I'm talking about! I can really tell she was passionate about her work through the knowledge she shared with me. She was very honest and will definitely take care of you for the better. I was looking for a specific hairstyle with my extensions for my engagement shoot but after talking with Michele she steered me in the right direction and sent me referrals. I reached out to Michelle via Yelp last week to set up a consultation. I had lots of questions. She instantly responded on Yelp and via text as I sent her my number. She answered my questions and we set up a consultation. I was supposed to meet with her but we had to reschedule due to unforeseen circumstances. She was great with communication and rescheduling which I appreciate very much. On my next appointment we were finally able to meet and she gave me my consultation. She answered my questions and saw exactly what I needed. Unfortunately she wasn't able to help me but she was able to refer me to another professional that could potentially take care of my needs as I have very thin and brittle hair which has occurred due to stress and personal health issues. She could have easily taken my money and given me any type of extensions as I am not very knowledgeably in what would work best for my situation. She told me that she was concerned that I'd do more damage to my hair than good and again, referred me to someone that may potentially be able to help. Michele's honesty and helpfulness deserves all the stars she can get. She isn't out there to take your money. She is a true professional that evaluates your hair and will give you an honest opinion about what extensions if any will work for you. I wasn't able to get her services this time around, but I know I can refer any friends and family to her because I know she will take care of their needs as she is a professional that truly values the customer and how she can best help them, even if it means turning them away. read more
