We called in and arranged a post-remodel clean up of an apartment. It is a 1300sf apartment with a townhouse-type set up, 2 beds and 1.5 baths. Two ladies arrived and spent half a day cleaning everything. They did a really, really great job!! We were tied up with a plumbing emergency and couldn't come back and move two appliances from the living room back into the kitchen and when we returned to give them the money for cleaning, everything had already been done! Would definitely recommend, and will call after our next job. read more

Top notch quality cleaning and carpet service with a 2 day turnaround. Exceptional staff with friendly personalities and not afraid to deep clean an apartment that had not been deep cleaned in 2 years. Will definitely use them again for routine upkeep. Fantastic work on a quick turn around project to get us back in our home after repiping. I was concerned at the ability to find a team to do a deep clean within a few days. They were professional, worked quickly and exceeded my expectations! We now plan to hire them once a year for a deep, thorough clean!! read more

I booked two cleaning services based on the reviews. After the first one, I was so disappointed that I canceled the second. The cleaning ladies I usually use were out of town so I found this one online based on the reviews. I had high expectations but ... Oh my god, I've never used such an inefficient cleaning team. A easy dusting job that should take 3 hours got dragged out to almost 6 -- and if I hadn't been watching them, they would've stuck with the 10-hour quote they gave me at the start. They wasted time on so many pointless tasks, like wiping a sparkling clean new mirror, I specifically told the guy not to peel the mirror protector film off, but he did it anyway. He deep cleaned the brand new stove that only needed a quick dusting, and I even told him the sink is new didn't need cleaning--he still wiped it... I don't think the person who quoted had any experience. And I don't think he understands what I was asking. I asked for dusting and floor cleaning but they are so used to deep cleaning and cleaning everything. The second star is for the nice friendly cleaning lady in the team and fast responding manager. read more

Miguel was very responsive when I inquired about cleaning services through Yelp. The move out price was affordable for the volume of cleaning that was necessary in the home. The fridge and corners behind the stove were immaculate. The restrooms and glass shower doors were in perfect condition, removing all of the hard water stains. The team even cleaned the blinds and windows beautifully. I will be using this team regularly and highly recommend to anyone looking for cleaning services. read more

Monterey Cleaning Services were awesome for our move in cleaning needs. The house was filthy and they made it look and smell like a home! Miguel and Gabby were great with asking the right questions and communicating with us throughout the time they worked at the house. I highly recommend their services and would definitely work with them again. read more

We had a whole house, deep clean and windows. They were punctual, thorough, professional, and accommodating. They did a great job, and it was definitely worth what we paid. I had to reschedule doing the outside of the windows numerous times because of rain, covid, and open houses, and Miguel was very accommodating. read more

Needed a little help with house cleaning as I'm getting on in my second pregnancy. Called their number, left a message and heard back in about an hour. Was able to set up the cleaning on the day I wanted no problem! Had two ladies clean my house so fast and they did an excellent job. In addition to all the big areas, they got toys out that had been hiding under my couch for an embarrassingly long time and a huge cobweb from the back porch door. They really went above and beyond! Felt they were a great price for the job they accomplished and they were fast too! Will be hiring them again for all of my cleaning needs. read more

This cleaning service is THE BEST!! I was left with a daunting task of cleaning an apartment that had been trashed. I called Monterey Cleaning Service to discern whether they could help me with complete cleaning, hauling large items, and to clean the carpet. My phone conversations with Clara( owner) and Miguel, who was in charge of the carpet cleaning put me at ease right away. I KNEW I was going to get the job done by people who had their act together! I was not disappointed!! Miguel and his assistants cleared out garbage, disposed of furniture, cleaned the apartment until it sparkled, and cleaned the carpets. All worked efficiently, and worked HARD. I was there all day managing the logistics. I was very impressed, and very grateful for their diligence. Miguel coordinated everything beautifully and the huge job was completed in one day. All workers were friendly, polite, and worked their behinds off. Miguel is a young man who is very astute re how stressful it can be for people as myself to deal with a big cleanup like this. He put my mind at ease by not just his calm, kind demeanor, but his obvious efficiency that was apparent right away. I need more work done at another property and I will not use anyone but Monterey Cleaning Service!! Thank you!!! read more

I've been looking for a cleaning service for awhile now. I found MCS on yelp and saw their good reviews and took a chance. I have a small studio apartment and they did a great job in about an hour. The place looks better than when I moved in. Will definitely be using them in the future. Thanks Clara! read more

Very pleased with Monterey Cleaning Service! Miguel responded to my estimate request quickly and more professionally than other services I contacted. He was able to come out the next morning, and even came early because he finished his previous job faster than expected. He did a solid job cleaning our carpets, using a deodorizer and some fancy term for the water system they have in their trucks--the house smells great! He also informed me of other services they provide that I hadn't considered, so that was good to know. He charged me a very fair rate and I'm happy with his work! I will be calling Monterey Cleaning Service again for my future cleaning needs, for sure. read more

They provided a great service. Miguel is incredible, very kind and patient. He is an utmost professional, called me half an hour before the appointment to say he was on the way and arrived on time. He did such a great job with the carpet, that I asked him to clean the area rugs as well. The area rugs were very well done, the shine was back to almost when I had them new. They are incredibly fair in terms of pricing, even though their equipment is top-notch. Cannot recommend them enough!!! Thank you, Miguel and the Monterey Cleaning Service Team !!! read more

What more can I say about Monterey Cleaning Company.  I outlined exactly what I wanted on Yelp for three cleaning company's and they responded immediately.  The prior owners were pet owners, so they had their hands full for sure.  However, this did not seem to be at issue at all.  Supervisor Clara came as arranged, on time, for visual inspection on Monday to provide quote.  Clara's bid was more than reasonable due to the fact it was a stay till it's done bid and boy did it get done.  The whole crew was great starting at 8:30am to finish around 4 :00pm.  They were thorough, gave attention to detail, and were organized as well.  I thank the whole team for their extra efforts and would definitely use them again. We didnt get before and after on the bathroom, however, Fatima did an awesome job as well! Please see pics attached. Thanks to Yelp also for helping me find this company... My quote required (Move In) cleaning top to bottom for the following:  Windows (Inside/Outside/track), Blinds, Appliances (Microwave/Oven/Fridge/Sink), 2 Bathroom (Complete), Walls (As needed), Base Boards (All), Hardwood Floor (Sanitize/Steam), Carpet (Dog Hair Removal/Stain Removal/Deodorize/Steam), Bathroom (Complete), and Garage Floor (chemical clean). read more

I needed the outside of my business pressure washed... I was unsure of the last time (if ever) it had been done. I took to Yelp to look for local cleaning businesses and Miguel responded almost immediately to my request with a very reasonable quote. Not only that, he was extremely compassionate when I had to reschedule at the last minute due to factors out of my control. His service was quick, efficient, and went above my expectations. I highly recommend Miguel and his team if you're looking for professional service with exceptional results! read more

Bottom line: Hire them!!!!! Don't even bother shopping around. I am absolutely thrilled with the results. I was planning on cleaning the carpets myself, but I have some health issues which made that not an option. Plus, let's be honest, nothing compares to having a professional do the job. Miguel at Monterey Cleaning Service was quick to respond, answered all my questions and I didn't feel any pressure to hire them. He gave me a quote and stuck to it. There were no hidden costs. I was able to schedule an appointment for the next morning. Miguel arrived and was kind and professional. I wish I had taken before photos, because the difference is amazing. I had been so stressed about the carpets, and now they look fantastic. The process didn't take long and the carpets dried so much faster than when I use to do them myself. Not only did I get a fast appointment, but Miguel was okay with me introducing him to my landlord, who was interested in having his house done as well. His house is behind mine. Miguel fit in my landlord's house. As soon as he was finished with my house, he moved his van to the back and did my landlord's house. My Land Lady is incredibly happy as well. She had been stressed about her carpets due to her elderly dog having many accidents. I am definitely going to hire Miguel again to do my couches and the bedrooms. My parents really want to hire him as well, but their house is outside of their service area. Hopefully one day they will expand to the Felton area int he Santa Cruz mountains so my parents can hire them as well! read more

We decided to hire a company to deep clean the house as a Christmas gift to ourselves. I could not be happier with the outcome. Our house is gorgeous. No detail was missed. We will definitely continue to use Monterey Cleaning Service for any needs we have in the future. It's affordable, communication is great and the final product is beyond expectations. Thank you to Clara and rest of the team at Monterey Cleaning Service! read more

They failed to perform one of the essential duties necessary for me to obtain 100% of my cleaning deposit, which was to wash the sliding glass doors to the balcony. When I confronted them they said they'd do it the following Tuesday, but failed to show despite having been paid to do this. In response to your reply, once it was brought to your attention, Miguel agreed to meet me at the apartment at noon. At 10:30 he called to say he'd be delayed until around 1:30. It's now 3:00 and you haven't shown. Since my deposit is riding on this, I went over and cleaned the doors myself. Your response to not performing the work in the first place is less than stellar and I will not be using your service again nor recommending you to my friends. I have much more to do today than wait around for you to make up your minds when you would like to show up to finish the work you were already paid for. read more

Alright so, as an update, they actually spent the time to fix the screens and drive them back. Still got charged for the window cleaning but honestly it's fair with the amount of work I'm assuming they put in. Even though it took a few months to fix this, I'm going to chalk this up to COVID era delays. I would just say the cleaning services are fine, but be careful with the window cleaning and take a picture of the screen frames before. read more

I have been doing some repair work at my mom's house, and there was dust everywhere from the contractors. Monterey Cleaning Service was able to come by a few days before Thanksgiving, and they did a terrific job. Two women showed up in the company van, took a look at the house and how big it is, then discussed with their supervisor how long they thought it would be. I approved the time (about 3 hours) and they got to work. They went into the kitchen cabinets where dust had gotten into the dishes and cleaned everything. I recommend them and will use them again in the future. read more

Clara and her crew showed up on time and got right to work. This was a "move out" clean and they did an exceptional job! I didn't know my house could look so good! After 3 people going through all drawers and cupboards already, they managed to find a few artifacts from the previous owner had left. Proof that no stone or dust bunny were left unnoticed. Vaulted ceilings and high light fixtures were no challenge to this crew. I paid a comparable price to clean prior to my listing my house and they did a marginal job. In my opinion, I got my money's worth and much more! Thank you Clara and crew! read more

Awesome company. They did post construction cleaning on one of my projects and did a great job. Will definitely be using them again

Clara and her team did a phenomenal job. Prepping for open house and sale, but I would have used them over the years if I had known abot them so I'm telling you! They did: Top to bottom house cleaning, sweep, mop, cabinets, cleaned the stainless appliances, removed cobwebs, countertops, vacuumed and mopped the tile floors, detail cleaned, dusted, wiped doors, cleaned hood vent, stove burners, cleaned oven and grills. Dusted baseboards, cleaned windows inside and out including tracks and screens. The place looks so amazing almost don't want to sell it and move, it looks better than when we bought it over 3 years ago and had to clean ourselves before moving in. Thank you Clara and your team for the amazing work you did today, and on fairly short notice. I know you get booked up and that is a good problem to have, I'm very happy to have had you clean my home and make it look and smell so delicious. Thank you again 6 stars!!! read more

We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Clara and her team. They did a deep clean, steam cleaning, and window cleaning to our new home, and it was an outstanding job. I would definitely recommend Monterey Cleaning Services for all your cleaning needs. read more

The quote was $40/hr which seemed reasonable given cleaning services in the San Francisco area averages $50/hr. for a team of two. I explained the house was a weekend home and consists of 900 sq.ft. 2bdrm, 1 bth that needed a simple cleaning meaning cleaning floors and surfaces. It was expected to take no more than 3 hrs. max. Two ladies arrived as scheduled at 9am and by noon, they wanted to take lunch. We explained the scope which was vacuum & mop floors, dust surfaces and clean the small bathroom. We did not watch over them as we were preparing for guests. They pulled the refrigerator & stove out and left the house in a disarray while they took lunch. Our guests arrived and we entertained them in the backyard which was awkward. They finally finished three hours later and while they did a decent job; it should not have taken 6 hours to clean a 900 sq.ft. home. I was told it was actually $40/person meaning $80/hr for house cleaning services which is absurd. The job was certainly not worth close to $500. I would not recommend this company to anyone. If you choose to hire them, be sure to watch them to ensure they follow direction and establish the price & expecting timing upfront. read more
