    Hot wings

Food was freshly made and hot. Very filling. Wish the wind were done a little longer, next time I'll ask for well done. Only one server on a Sunday afternoon she also was the hostess dressing people seemed a little stressful for her.

Went to this Montana's location recently with some friends. It's a very spacious restaurant and the staff is friendly too. We had few beers, spinach dip, hot wings and nachos. My favourite was spinach dip and wings. These wings were huge, flavourful and juicy. Spinach dip was cheesy and hearty and was served with pita chips. It's a great place to hang out and chill.

3.5 out of 5 stars. It was odd that they were out of mashed potatoes by 7 pm on a Friday night. They could have been excused this faux pas if we had arrived much later in the evening. This was bad planning on the part of the kitchen staff. They did have other potato side dishes like baked potatoes and french fries. Everyone at my table agreed that the sweet potato fries and french fries were too salty. Although we didn't have a reservation, the wait for a table was reasonable. The service was good including a friendly and efficient server. There were two nearby parties celebrating birthdays. The servers gathered around and sang while the birthday guest wore furry moose antlers. It's cute if you don't think about the number of previous guests who have worn the same (likely unwashed) furry moose 'hat'. Let's hope everyone who is celebrating a birthday comes in with clean hair. The restaurant has a large parking lot. So no problem there. There's a 10% discount with a CAA card. But you have to know about it since it isn't mentioned anywhere in the restaurant or on Montana's website.

    My burnt beef rib. Whomp!

I love Montana's but the last three experiences have been mediocre at best. Arrived at 7:30pm. Greeter was very friendly and set us at a booth as requested. Told us they had all you can eat ribs, so two of us from our table decided to get them. We ordered our first ribs, you can choose your flavour and you get two sides. If you have taste buds, don't get the corn; it is served warm but has peppers and other ingredients including cilantro and lemon juice and something that does not work together And its chilled/cold in temp. We got our first set of ribs and the waitress said, just so you know - we have no more back ribs so you can have side or beef ribs. We decided for side as beef ribs from my experience are fatty and greasy. We ate our first set and got our second. When she brought it out, she said they were running low and thought the next order could possibly be beef as they were now out of pork ribs. The manager came over and explained that they normally, on a promo night make 20-30 racks of ribs and because, one their other locations was being renovated - they make 50! I thanked her for the info but, truth be told, I did not care. We made a joke and asked if she would be ok being paid the bill in Monopoly money? At this point she's getting annoyed with us. I normally don't care but I feel, if it costs $27.99 for the meal, I should get what I ordered/want. So the next set came out and they said we only have beef. Which was in fact fatty and greasy.. I know, I am making a big deal of not being able to over indulge, but everyone has a cheat day, right? I will say that the service is good. They do try to be sympathetic in a condescending way. But at least they kinda care? Again, Montana's is an ok chain but, really, if you can't support a promo; just get rid of it. As a customer if I had no option I would not expect, anything! However, Thanks for the discounted $12 as a compromise on an $80 bill. I do appreciate it, but try harder on delivery of marketing events! There are lots of chain restaurants in the area, practise your options is my suggestion! ;) Ps: two hour ordeal

    The taco was delicious

I really wanted to give this location a 3.5 so i just settled on 3. Where do I begin.... Ok tonight I had the tacos they were great. The chicken had this blackening seasoning on it that made it a lil spicy. My fries were cooked a lil too long so I didn't eat them, let down. My friend had the salmon which he said was "the best salmon I ever had" with every bite. The salmon came with dirty rice that wasn't fully cook. It was still hard Also a let down :( Our server was very friendly and made sure that we had everything we needed. Overall wouldn't go back to that location

    Chipotle burger

Happened to come here by chance. Ordered the nachos with beef thinking the pulled pork would be sweet, turns out the beef was sweet too. (Don't like sweet meats). Next we ordered the fire burger, again thinking it would be spicy but it turned out to be sweeter totally over powering the jalapeños and other spicy ingredients. The server 'Anu' was nice and looked after us. I would recommend coming here but careful if you don't prefer your food a bit sweeter than normal.

Pleasantly surprised to enjoy good bbq at reasonable prices…read more I got the $15 lunch box with brisket, beans and fries and really enjoyed it. My main complaint is that it wasn't enough meat but maybe I'm asking for too much at that price.. The fries were 5/5 excellent, the beans were very tasty and the beef had a delicious texture and flavour, especially with that strip of fat on every piece. Vegans need not apply. Some of the beef cuts were almost dry but that was easily resolved when lathered in mouth-watering hot sauces (northern heat & I can't remember the other but it was 4 's) My son got a dish with their "dirty rice" as a side and that was also well seasoned , is probably try it as a 3rd side next time.. I don't think my wife was into her shrimp dish , not sure.. I tried the shrimp and while it was good, I was glad to go back to my brisket right after. Would go back.

A couple Saturdays ago, I was running a few errands. Once I was done, I felt like visiting a diner for lunch. I did a search and found Poached Dreams Diner in Aurora. I didn't mind driving up from Markham to check it out. It was straightforward getting here. I parked in the parking lot and walked in from what looked like the back of the diner. There's also a front door with a patio that faces Wellington Street East. I was immediately greeted by a young, enthusiast woman. I let her know that I needed a table for one. She got me to a comfortable booth by the window. The catch is that you have to watch your step to get to your seat. It's a treat when I have breakfast out. I thought that I'd be getting french toast. Well, all that changed when I saw a heading for comfort foods on the menu. Nothing makes me happier than seeing open-faced sandwiches on a menu. It was probably during my days living in Winnipeg that I fell in love with such sandwiches and at least a side. New goal: come here and have every open-faced sandwich on the menu. I got cold water to start. It was refreshing and much needed after running errands. I ordered these items for my meal: - Diet Coke (2) - Hot turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes and veggies My Diet Coke came with a glass with ice. I loved it. I wish the can was larger! I needed a second can for dessert. I loved my hot turkey sandwich. There was a generous amount of sliced turkey smothered in sauce over a slice of white bread. I got to choose my starch. I went with mashed potatoes. There was enough gravy over the turkey that I dunked my spoonfuls of mashed potatoes into it. I loved the steamed veggies. They were perfectly cooked. They also went into the gravy. The meal was delicious. I'd order it again. I felt like dessert. I asked if there was any. Baklava with pistachios. I said yes. I thought that it would be a square or rectangle. Nope. I got a roll. Cool! It was perfect. It had the right amount of honey. It was crispy and yummy. So good! I paid my bill at the table. I tipped and then tapped my credit card. I elected to have the receipt texted to my phone, which also signed me up for its points program. Yay! I learned that this diner has been open since June 2025. I'm always late to any party because I seem to live under a rock or in a cave. I'm glad that I visited this eatery. Great food. Great service. Great! I used the washroom before I left. The women's washroom was clean and had a full-length mirror. This eatery is huge. It looks like there's a cafe for those grabbing coffee and maybe a snack before leaving. I look forward to returning for more good eats and drinks. (148)

The appetizers (calamari, mozza sticks, and wings) were great! Very solid choices although personally the wings (medium) were a little too sweet for us. Service was ok but the waitress did seem a bit stressed. The mains, however, were a bit disappointing. The burgers were just ok, my halloumi in the halloumi salad was burnt (although the salad itself was great), and the children's cheese sandwich was also burnt. The fish & chips were very oily. Usually I really want to like and rate local establishments well as I am a local myself, but burnt food is a no-no and unfortunately with kids I don't really have the time to ask for a remake. Great vibes for a good beer though.
