The interior of this restaurant seems very outdated there is a lot of paint peeling off the walls two of the three bathroom stalls were out of order and the one bathroom stall that you were supposed to use in the women's bathroom couldn't lock. I arrived around 5:40 on a Thursday and there was only one other table there and for the most of the time that we were there no one came into the restaurant by the time we were leaving there was another two groups that came in but on a Thursday I feel they should be more popular but after eating there I kind of understand why they're not The waiter I had was really nice and he tried his best to you know recommend stuff. For appetizer our table got the muscles and the sauce that the muscles came with was the star of the show it was so good it was so rich and flavorful definitely would be better in my opinion on pasta the muscles itself were so tiny half of the shells were empty. First main course that we got was the salmon the salmon was quite small they did cut another piece of salmon to make it bigger but overall I just felt like it didn't really seem like much compared to the other plates that we got however the salmon taste absolutely delicious and the mashed potatoes was good too have a Caesar salad itself wasn't that flavorful but the salmon plate did come with extra dressing on the side that you can mix in. The beef brisket dinner the brisket was tender and cooked very well. It did come with sauce on top there was a slightly spicy sauce and then there was a white sauce which I think is a peppercorn sauce the meat self I didn't feel like it's soaked in any seasoning but the sauces were very rich so without the sauces the meat was quite bland. I got French fries with mine the french fries were seasoned and crispy. The third dinner we got was the prime rib which is under the chefs special. When it came out it looked like a steak I asked the server three times if he was sure that this was prime rib and he said yes it was extremely chewy we asked for it to be served as raw as possible because they only serve medium and up here they don't do any rare steaks and what they consider medium was still super chewy and had no flavor I literally was fighting to get the meat off of the bone. And the meat itself did not taste like prime rib.. prime rib has a slightly different flavor versus a regular steak so I don't know but I would never order it again we came home with most of it and then it's just sitting in the fridge. It's quite unfortunate because a lot of people were talking about this place on tiktok and I know they potentially could have paid them to do reviews but if they're known for steak they should know how to cook steak and have it flavorful. Blackstone Brampton is a decent spot for a steak - the meat tastes good, but be prepared to cook it further on the stone plate on the table. Service was quite slow taking over an hour to prepare the food (and then you have to cook it further) - even though the restaurant was quite empty on a weekday evening. Went there as part of a big group. The inside is really pretty and roomy. Service was good, a trifle slow because of the size of our group. I had the Chicken tenders with Gnocchi Rose sauce. The chicken tenders were soft and flavourful. The pasta delicious. The portion was huge. That seems to be true for most dishes - delicious and huge portions. From the outside, the place doesn't look like much. And when you're in and start dining, you get the same feeling. I wanted to rate this a 2.5, and rounding down felt right. The food took over 50 minutes to arrive at the table, after waiting 20 minutes for a waiter to serve us. We saw there was a big table, so we didn't think much of it. It seemed quite busy after all. When the food arrived, it was the most bland thing I've ever tasted. How can you have so many herbs and spices in it yet still taste bland? All of us had to use a ridiculous amount of salt to flavour it back up. The gnocchi was very soft, that was quite tasty. And their fry seasoning is phenomenal. The steaks, which is what we came for, was not so great. They are close to fine dining price, but you get the bar and grill quality (maybe less if anything). Quite disappointing.. also please give me a plate. I don't want a cutting board with sauce smeared all around it! "You should not need sauce to make a steak taste good" I read that somewhere here, and wow were they right. You also have to go up to cash out. The worst service I've ever had. Decided to go here as our cousin was visiting from out of town and our parents prefer to only eat Halal. No problem, we've been to the one in Mississauga pre-pandemic and it was pretty good. Ordered the calamari. It arrives and we ask for garlic aioli on the side, offering to pay for it as well. They tell us they don't have any, which is strange, but okay. No sweat, what can you do if they don't have it anymore? Oh wait... but when our steaks eventually arrive they all come with garlic sauce. When we point this out, they tell us it only comes with the steak. Uh... ok? Happy to pay for an extra sauce, which really should be complimentary as we're paying $38 for a strip loin (a rip off, but we'll get to that in a sec.) Calamari is awful. Literally inedible. Dry, unseasoned. We send it back and ask for a Caesar salad instead. They send it without croutons but everyone else at the table receives them on their salad. Mum orders salmon, says the spicy version is okay. Well, it's salty as heck and not spicy at all but at this point we're sort of resigned to our fate and everyone eats anyway. Steaks are fatty, cut badly and can only be served either medium rare on a black stone or medium-medium well if the chef carves it. No option for a rare steak, which is disappointing. When we get the bill, they attempt to charge us for the cardboard calamari saying it's our problem if we don't like it. Excuse me? I've worked in customer service for 15 years, including some retail and I would NEVER speak to a customer that way. Also extremely rude when speaking to us, quite an attitude and many different servers pretending to be the manager. Nice try, but you can't all be managers. Cool that it caters to a specific crowd, but we ALSO appreciate good food and shouldn't have to deal with subpar food and service standards simply to eat halal. Disappointing. We walk into the place and it's completely empty. We made are reservations for 5:30, thinking with drinks and appetizers it's going to be pretty late since our son is with us. No one comes for a couple of minutes and finally someone comes up but he's on the phone and walks right past us. Then finally a woman meanders out of the back and she walks towards us and just has this complete blank stare. Like, I have just acquired a serious injury and am in shock stare. She stops near us but does nothing but continue to stare. Another guy at the back does the same thing. I get the feeling maybe they don't speak English. The guy on the phone is done and asks if we have a reservation. We do. But like there is no one there. He takes us to a table that is for six. There are four of us. Two of the seats are half of a booth. The other two seats are normal. Then there's a table pulled up to it for two more seats for no reason. They bring us water. A pitcher and six plastic cups. There's four of us. Maybe they see ghosts for the other two seats? No menus. Sure. COVID. But fine dining usually still has menus. The QR code though doesn't take you to a menu. It takes you to their online ordering menu. You have to choose from there and tell them what you want. No wine list. So I ask for one. "We are a steak house, not a wine house" "You are saying you have no alcohol at all?" "No. We're a steakhouse". He says this like I'm an alien and he can't fathom why I would think a steakhouse would have alcohol. Edit: I will note that I have since seen that this restaurant is halal, which wasn't really advertised clearly and their menu specifically lists something as "champagne". If they had straight up said this was the reason it would have made more sense than the "steakhouse" explanation. Besides, as you'll see, this was hardly the main issue. Meanwhile, the floor is unbelievably slippery. And it's not flat. It was like being on a curling rink built on a hill. I had to hold onto that table to not slide away. I think that it's freshly polished floors. Then my wife notices grease on the walls. On the QR code placard. On the table. On everything. She realizes that it's oil from the steaks which come out on hot "lava stones". I ask if she wants to leave. Yes. So I get up and explain that it's a birthday and we'd like to find a place with wine. Food: I recently went to The Black Stone restaurant (Erin Mills Location) and the food was 3/10. I ordered a sirloin steak with mashed potatoes. The steak was not seasoned at all but it was cooked medium as for what i requested. The mashed potatoes had a lot of flavour and were the best thing out of the whole dish. Service: The service was very slow. the waitresses didn't ask us if we wanted anything to drink or if we wanted any additional water. While we were eating the waitress came over and asked us to pay for our bill in the middle of the meal. I thought that was disrespectful and impatient. After we were done eating they started flashing the lights on and off as a signal for us to get out. It was very rude and no one asked us if we enjoyed the meals our anything. Ambiance: Not Good! Could be better. This place's main dish are the steaks which you would find have a better presentation than the taste itself. They come with three sauces which were okay - nothing really stood out about this. I ordered also the fish and chips, which were actually a highlight and very good. Portion size was a bit too much for me, so I brought half home. Overall the ambience could be better- the decorations/furniture looked quite cheap. I went with a group of about 7 and were seated immediately and our server was extremely knowledgeable about everything on the menu. Ok food is mehhh... the owner very nice but service is slow. Let me tell you something if a steak needs a sauce it's not worth it ... A steak seasoning should be just salt and pepper and every bit should be worth it. I can understand the sauce but what's up with the chewy steak??? The Indian server is very nice and welcoming. The food in the other location was a bit better. Im sitting here since over 1hour and the table in front of us is still the same as one hour before you don't want to look at the kind of unorganized staff which is having issues to clean few tables. So we came at 9pm hour food arrived at 9.50pm I can understand it's Father's Day but waiting for the bill over 20min it's really not worth it. We made reservations at this establistment for 8pm for there ramadan special which we had to pre-order our food before coming to the restaurant. When we arrived staff was not friendly and at 8 we only got our apps which was shrimps we were waiting till close to 9pm for our food to arrive and we had asked servers when will our foid be ready and they could not tells us that information we finally got our food after we went up to the counter and asked about it. But by that time people that came in after us that got sat down had already order and were getting there dinner or dessert or paying tgere bill and leaving. Great jerk chicken, portobello chicken and strip loin steaks! You literally cook your steaks on "blackstones" according to your preference. It's interactive and fun! Chicken portions are HUGE. The blackstone jerk chicken could easily feed two people. For appetizers the jerk nachos are really flavourful and spicy!!! Great food, but maybe a bit pricier than it needs to be. Also, certainly not docking points or judging for this, but if you absolutely must have your steak rare, don't go here. They cater to Muslim folks, and since it's haram to eat or serve rare meat (I could be wrong about the serving part, feel free to correct me if I am), the rarest you'll be able to get your steak is medium-rare. That said, even for someone like me who DOES prefer a rare steak, it was DAMN tasty. I went with my wife: she got the 14 oz. Striploin, and I got the 16 oz. Ribeye. Together, excluding tip, our bill came out to approx. $120. So it's decidedly pricier than The Keg, as an example. BUT, having said that, and going back to my previous comment regarding the food being halal: if this is something you're looking for in a restaurant, then it's definitely a fantastic option. read more

We made reservations for The new black stone grill in Brampton last week for Iftar. They asked us to arrive 40 mins ahead of time and we got there exactly at 8 pm. We placed our order a few minutes later. We were served the complimentary iftar on time. We did not receive our order till 15 minutes after iftar. The calamari is normally our favourite however it was awful that day. The calamari was over cooked and chewy. Then we ordered their famous jerk chicken nachos which is our fav at their original restaurant. However here the portion was half the size. I ordered the lamb shank which was absolutely delicious. My husband ordered the chicken Parmesan Which was huge and he enjoyed it. For these prices I would hope they would have bigger portions. read more

Location: This was the first time I've been to this location. Parking is not great during dinner time, the lot was filled and we had to walk 5 min to the car. The steak bites were amazing and a must try, the pieces are tender and definitely more flavourful than any of the other two items I tried. We ordered a Sheryl temple, and this was okay, I think after tasting it, the drink needs some tweaks (more ginger ale ) less water taste it was somewhat flat.... I would order again and ask for adjustments. Overall it's a great place too go if you only eat halal steak, there are not too too many restaurants around with this variety of steaks! Tried Tiramisu with special recommendation from Simran, the employee supervisor (?)...it was so good we engulfed it within minutes. do not recommend. restaurant completely empty except my family of 4 between 530-7pm on what should've been a busy Friday night. they do not have an alcohol license so you can't have a glass of wine with your steak meal. food was mediocre at best. caesar salad tasted like the pre made kind from grocery store. chipotle sauce was everywhere and on everything including kids meals. mashed potatoes were cold tasteless and lumpy. striploin had a lot of fatty edges. hot stones were placed way too close to each of us. safety hazard for sure and grease spitting back at our clothes leaving stains. service was slow and not friendly at all. floor was greasy and slippery, be careful! mens washroom was occupied by staff. do not recommend. read more

My second time here after I added this as a good place for our team to meet for dinner. First visit was good, lively, friendly staff. High prices. Second visit, food was good, service okay. Prices have really shot up here. 2 issues this visit. 1) I ordered guacamole ($16), got told they didn't have any, but it was on the bill when I checked next day. (Parambir). Also, got charged for a soft drink we didn't order. Lesson: check your bill before you leave this restaurant. Paid $20 for things we didn't receive. 2) I go here for business dinners. 3/4 of the way through our meal, a younger guy came by to tell us we had 15 minutes left at the table, then had to leave. Restaurant was half empty. This will probably be the last time I take my team here. We apparently are taking up tables for other customers, so don't want to be a nuisance. Argentinian Lava Stone style Steaks is nothing like anything I've had in town. Very casual place that wants to be a next level restaurant though. Service is no mediocre but the food makes up for it. Lava Stone lasted very, very hot for an hour when we were there.. veggies and steak got a liitle cold (due to chatting) and we placed it on the stone, problem solved! read more
