Monster Performance Center FAILED!!! If I could give no stars I would!! As a business owner if something goes wrong servicing a customer, you should do everything you can to make it right. Monster Performace Center has the right to turn down any business if they are not capable of servicing a vehicle correctly. In September, my husband purchased a 2004 Ford Mustang Roush that needed to be tuned. He called around to several different performance shops in the area to select a shop that would be able to service out car best. He spoke with the manager Kevin of Monster Performance Center. He explained to Kevin in detail everything about the car including all the performance parts on the car. Kevin then assured him that tuning our car would be no problem and it should only take a couple of hours. Kevin the owner of Monster Performance Center requested that my husband bring a written list of any after market parts that are currently on the vehicle when he drops off the vehicle. On September 13th, we rented a U-Haul trailor to drop off our Mustang at Monster Performance Center. When my husband arrived he spoke with Kevin and explained that he left a detailed hand written list of all the aftermarkets inside the glovebox of the car. My husband also made sure to note and also took a picture of how many miles (48,860) were on our Mustang when he dropped our car off. Kevin assured him that our mustang should only take a few hours to tune. The following day my husband called Monster Performance Center to see if our Mustang was ready to be picked up. He spoke with Kevin and he said, "no we haven't got to it yet." At this point he was not upset as he just figured maybe they had a busy day in the shop and assumed he would definitely have our Mustang back before the weekend. On September 15th he called them to see if our car was ready and once again he spoke with Kevin who now is telling my husband they still aren't finished with tuning our Mustang. He asked Kevin if they would be able to get it done over the weekend and his response was, "no we don't work on any cars on the weekend, we go to the races." At this point my husband was furious because he was told our Mustang would only take a few hours to tune and now Monster Performance Center has had our vehicle in their possession for 3 days without any sense of urgency. His calls to Monster Performance Center continued into the following week daily. Every time he spoke with Kevin he gave him several excuses of why the vehicle was not done yet. On September 20th, we received a call from a mechanic at Monster Performance Center informing him that they were able to tune our vehicle but within seconds the engine blew on our Mustang. The mechanic that worked on our Mustang went into an explanation of how they tried a bunch of different tunes and when they finally got it tuned the motor blew. The following day my husband arrived at Monster Performance Center and spoke with Kevin and he told him what his options would be to have a new motor put into the vehicle. At this point my husband just wanted to get our mustang home. My husband paid to have our Mustang towed back to our house on September 21, 2017. When he got our vehicle home he took pictures of all the damage and noted that my gas mileage on our Mustang was now at 49070. That's an extra 210 miles on our mustang that wasn't there when we brought the vehicle to you. Monster Performance Center kept our vehicle for over a week. We brought our vehicle to you with a working engine. We picked up our vechile with a blown engine. How is that fair?? We will never recommend your shop to anyone. My Heavy Duty E4OD lasted 5,000 miles! I had to have it rebuilt properly just last week. Whoever built mine installed the wrong center support. It did not seat properly on the bearing and 2 of the 3 bolts were sheared off completely and gone. I learned that when Monster builds what they call a "heavy duty" version of the E4OD, they use aluminum planetary gears instead of upgraded steel. Either that or whoever built mine, took it upon themselves to save the company some money and leave the wore out aluminum planetary gears in core. I was a repeat customer to Monster and used to be convinced that they were better than that. So I put in a call to Customer Service to find out what happens when something gets by their quality control. Of course, Monster is a big, happening company these days and if you're interested in talking to somebody who actually knows something you need to wait for a call back. They said I would get a call back the next day. They said that for 4 days. Then, finally, 4 days later without ever making that return call back to hear my questions or my requests, they said that management had thought about it and decided they didn't really care if they had accidentally built a lemon because this particular E4OD had shipped to Alaska. As best as I could understand, they figure that Alaska is far enough from Florida that they just might get away with screwing over just one customer. It's funny 'cause the entire time you sit on hold, you have to listen to the little jingle that assures you that at Monster, they build more that just transmissions, they build relationships. Observation: Kinda hard to build a relationship if you only ever have a one-sided conversation. Still, I would have to agree, that at least in my experience with Monster, the quality and duration of their E4OD transmissions does indeed match the quality and duration of their relationships. I do give one start 'cause I never spent more that 4 minutes on hold before Dallas picked up the phone. read more

Beware do not trust a word Kevin says he promised he could tune my Mustang with a turbo and a Cobra motor within a couple hours,, 10 days later and over 200 miles they blew my motor, and now he is lying saying that he warned me he did not want to tune it, he convinced me he could tune it, otherwise why would I bring my brand new car to a shop that is against tuning my Mustang the gentleman that tuned it didn't want to but ,Kevin told him we could do it they made me sign a cheap waiver had it for 10 days, and put over 200 miles on my car when I bought the car the original owner signed a bill of sale and wrote down the mileage I originally took their word for it but I started doing some investigating checked my odometer it had 200 plus extra miles on it after I got the car with a blown motor back from Monster performance blew up my motor and said oh well they knew the car was smoking because it was getting too much fuel and needed a custom tune and they blew my engine and said oh well that's your problem will charge you $15,000 for a new one read more
