As a group the mini golf part went a little slow (as they were trying to keep the birthday group together) but I could see this being really fun as a family when you have more flexibility to go faster. This location was a pretty long drive for us, but totally worth it. My 9 and 5 year old grandsons are arcade addicts and they loved the mini-golf too. It was very reasonably priced and, as many other reviewers mentioned, the staff is super friendly, patient, and helpful. This is an experience! You play miniature golf, indoors, under black light! Highly recommend you wear all white so you can glow! The DJ plays fun music while you golf. Never seen anything like it but had fun with my grown friends. Please note that I've been here as a regular customer with my kids on family day and it was just as fun on this event day. This time, my birthday fell on a workday, so this was just right after a long day at work. Then you can play arcade games and claim prizes by winning tickets. I got balls- with my 50 tickets. This is an ideal activity for kids or adults who need to loosen up as you'll be surrounded by interesting props, such as spiders that drop from the ceiling. Monster Golf totally rules. Last weekend was my lil pal's 9th birthday. Which ,obviously calls for a grand celebration. We reserved a party room, which was decorated ala haunted mansion. The kids loved it. Everything was dark and spooky. Highlighted by black light goodies everywhere. The package included mini golf for everyone. And they have a good selection of the usual video games and skee ball. The games are 50 cents each. That's the downside. if you go anywhere that the entertainment depends on a steady flow of quarters, it's going to add up quickly. It did. The golf course is very simple and mostly flat. The giant monsters are the attraction. I loved the animatronic Gargoyle and the oversized day glo clown face. Very cool. The kids had a blast! good times all around. i'd highly recommend this as an alternate for kiddie birthday parties or a cute, fun, date spot. read more

Monster Mini Golf is an awesome place to go if you're looking for an indoor activity that will please the whole family, especially kids. The decorations and theme are on-point; it's covered in black-lights, skeleton murals, and human-sized monsters. It's themed without being too scary for kids. This is lately because the golf course and decor are not moving- don't expect animatronics or any jump scares- it's definitely a family place. There's also some awesome arcade games with tickets at the end. The staff is kind and intentional; they started us on Hole 7 so we would have the most room and wouldn't be crowded! This place doesn't have the budget or variety of a larger arcade/minigolf place, but they do their specific schtick very well. I went with adult friends a few years back and we had a blast. Then I took my 5-year-old nephew last week, and he thought this "secret cool place for kids" was awesome. Dude, I have never been anywhere like this but it legitimately made me feel like a trendy and fun teenager again. The environment is wild and cool, the arcade-style games and tickets added more of an element of excitement to the putt-putt, and I really enjoyed the whole experience with my family. The staff was helpful but easy-going and they accommodated us so that our experience wasn't hindered by a party of kids. I can *never* go to Vegas. Considering the amount of money and time I spent at this divey little arcade, I can't imagine what the glitz and glamour of the casinos would do to me. It would be dangerous. I can't tell you who was here with me, or how long I spent within the walls. All I know is they had skeeball and a handful of other ways for me to garner insane amount of bright pink tickets. Long chains of tickets that put me on some sort of high, no illicit substances needed. And then there was the mini golf, aka a dance party with putters. Seriously, best music ever. If they served food and booze I don't think I'd ever leave. It's probably better this way. read more

Back when I was a kid, my siblings and I re-purposed a bunch of giant cardboard boxes and with the help of copious amounts of scissors, spray paint and lackadaisical '70s-era parenting, we fashioned a haunted house/carnival. We were awfully proud of it, what with its dark "tunnels" and games of chance. Through the cynical eyes of an adult, it was actually pretty lame--the "haunted house" was a bunch of boxes duct taped together, spray painted black. We'd thrown some rubber snakes and plastic bugs in the middle as an added scare and, really, I think the fumes from the spray paint did more for atmosphere than those bugs. The "games of chance" were merely the pins of our plastic bowling set arranged so that they could be knocked down and some "get the hula hoop around the stick" game that wasn't very hard to accomplish. I don't even remember what we gave out as prizes. Stickers? Pats on the back? I bring this up only because this is what Monster Mini-Golf reminded me of--a slap-dash mish mosh of old video games, spray paint and an exceedingly stripped down putt putt golf course. For someone expecting the wonders of spinning windmills and life-sized faux pirate ships, it was kind of a let down. I had, after all, expected to tilt at windmills. In fact, my first surprise was that it was entirely indoors, in the husk of a former big box, strip mall store. "Play in the dark!" the signs boasted. "Have a party!" they encouraged. And my cynical, intown eyes did roll. But then something happened. As our group of yelpers balled skee's, spun wheels and accumulated tickets, as we cheered each other on and celebrated the occasional ticket "jackpot," I realized I was having fun. We all flashed out tickets to one another, feeding them into the ticket counter. Do we have enough for that inflatable dog? Or maybe that Nerf football? The irony of the Dollar Store next door was not lost on us, but we didn't care. By the time we'd lined up for the putt putt (really nothing more than a series of shapes and 4x4s arranged geometrically, we were genuinely laughing and dancing along to the curious selection of 80s dance music playing through out. In short, it was fun. With a large group of us, we had a ball. Worth the drive from intown? I don't know really, but on that day, with this group, I can answer "yes." The staff was nice, though a bit harried. (Extra points though for them and that nice gentleman who'd found my wallet and returned it to me unmolested. God bless you, Kennesaw.) What can I say that hasn't been said? They've got skeeball, 80's music, glow-in-the-dark mini golf. The arcade games seemed generous with tickets (compared to Dave & Busters) though the prizes you could get were about what you'd expect. When I was in high school, I was a goody two-shoes. I didn't drink or smoke or really get into that much trouble, and neither did any of my friends. To deal with the endless boredom and malaise that only affects the tortured suburban kid, my group of friends did 4 things: bowling, mini-golf, movies, and hanging out at someone's house. I only realized later on as I moved out of the midwest that mini-golf (or putt-putt, as I like to call it) is really an art form that is perfected in the midwest. Subsequent trips to mini golf courses in the north, west, and south were all ridiculously sub-par (ha, ha). I heard about Monster Mini Golf and I had to drive the 35 minutes to see if this place was worth the hype. I have to say, the layout is impressive. Black lights everywhere so you glow, huge animatronic dinosaur in the corner, really cool stuff that's designed kinda like a weak version of a haunted house. Don't want to get too scary as this is primarily for families and people are here to mini-golf, not actually go through a haunted house. Overall, I was very pleasantly surprised by the themes of this mini-golf joint and had a good time. On one of the holes, there is a remote controlled spider that someone in the booth drops on your head as you're lining up to putt. The reason I can't give it a glowing review is that the actual golf course is pretty weak. It's almost all flat leveled and just about navigating corners. There are only 3 "special" holes... one with a slight hill right at the hole (weak), one with a typical shoot into a hole and it goes through a tube that shoots it out towards the hole, and the final hole where you shoot it into a clown's mouth. Maybe i'm a purist, but I was disappointed not to find a huge gorilla's mouth that opened and closed so you had to time your shot... Anyway, it was overall fun and a good time. They give the worst golfer a free pass "for practice". Afterwards, there's a big arcade where you can play games for tickets or your usual shoot-em-up or racing games. read more

So this is a pretty niffy place for the family. I took the kids to go golfing for their first time and everyone liked it. I was worried at first since it was a bit smaller then I expected but the layout of the holes was nicely set up. This place is awesome just don't think they were fully ready for the Elite squad. (We're Elite for a reason) I've lived in Cobb for over 10 yrs and never realized this place was here nor what it was. Anna and the staff were excellent, that's always a A+ with us Yelpers especially Elites. It was my first time doing mini golf and I had a blast .... you can see it in my pictures. I was actually good at the game even though I wasn't able to finish the entire course. I only made it half way through the course. I enjoyed the DJ, leaving my hand print, the bubble machine and the skee ball even though it was 50 cent per game(highest I've seen). I won some coupons so I'll definitely be back to see what they have to offer when fully equipped. My only complaint would be it was EXTREMELY hot! Clean and fun place until it wasn't. A woman with her husband and kids just had no respect for other golfers and just invaded everyone's space. My friend was polite and asked her to wait their turn like everyone else was doing and the next thing you know this lady was screaming and yelling and her husband had to hold her back from attacking my friend. We were looking for an activity to break up the road trip and saw this on Yelp. The staff lady was friendly. Bathrooms were clean. We got there around the time they opened on a week day. The place is decorated in monster or Halloween themed items and painted in black light paint. It was a fun environment. Although outdated; very cool concept. You can not load a card like you can at Andretti or Dave and Busters. You have to take money out of the ATM and convert it to quarters; to play games. Extremely disappointing. We have taken our grandchildren there for probably 10 years. Recently, they changed to games that cost at least one dollar per play. Old games were more like 25 cents. The main problem is about half of the games were not working. I spent 40 bucks for them to get prizes that probably came from the Dollar Tree next door and I could have just gone in there and spent 3 bucks for everything they got. Monster Golf is unlike anything Kennesaw has! It is an indoor, glow-in-the-dark putt-putt course. The 18 spooky holes surprise golfers with challenges and tricks. The course is completely comprised of angles with only a few hills or height challenges. The establishment also boasts a quarter-eating arcade, air hockey and private rooms for parties. They play GREAT music - mostly 80s and 90s and have a DJ booth for live music nights. Hopefully this one lasts! read more

I don't want to hate because if you need something to do with your child on a rainy or overly hot day Monster Mini Golf is not the worst option. $8 for mini golf is on par with other options. I will say that the course is basically just an arrangement of squares with a 3 inch divider in between them all but really what is any other mini golf place. they have an assortment of video game type items in the foyer of the place as well. Ultimately, unless the every park in Cobb county is closed or covered in water I would suggest just dragging your children outside and making them play in dirt. However, I know that sometimes that is not an option and in those times Monster Mini Golf is not a bad alternative. read more

I've seen this chain of mini golf around and have never thought it would be a neat place to play. I was pleasantly surprised that inside the place was clean and well put together. At the front are an array of arcade games, none of which I saw cost more than 50 cents. In the back is the mini golf- lights off, music blaring. It's kind of hard to chat with friends but everything was clean and well tended. The obstacles were basic but they did manage to cram 18 holes into the building. The black lights illuminate some of the monsters and on one hole the lady at the counter operated a bat so that it dropped on my husband's head. Too funny! They had two cool looking party rooms- it looks like it would be fun for kids. My preschooler loved it and us grown-ups had fun too. This is a great way to stay cool on a hot summer day! read more

My boyfriend took me here on a date a week before Halloween and HELLO! When you walk in you get a "this is so cheesy" vibe but for me that quickly went away there's arcades too but the golfing area is superb. Horror enthusiast here. I love everything spooky all year round and that's why I love coming to this place, their blacklight golfing area along with all the really spoopy looking figurines from horror films! The clown head and dragon looking monster that literally pops up sometimes while you play took some time to sink in cause duh! It scared me my first time. The music is a great touch it's a mixture of different genres even the fun halloween songs anything you can basically groove to while you golf. They'll even give you a card for 'extra practice' if your score isn't all that well you basically get to play for free next time you come in. What a deal! I really love this place, I felt like it brought out the inner child in me! This place definitely has a personality with the blacklit monsters and creatures. All of the courses are really fun and get slightly more difficult as you progress with different obstacles along the way. This is probably one of my favorite mini golf courses I've ever been to. wow, with the dwindling places that offer mini putt golf and arcades, this is a must visit! it is in a plaza that has a lot of other things so it doesn't stand out. it is blacklight throughout so it is visually stimulating (not scary really; only if you don't like it a little dark) - the indoors part is nice b/c rain or shine you can golf. the halloween theme is cool too b/c you can dress up and have fun with your friends or kids. i took a friend here and we were greeted warmly, upon stating it was our 1st time. there is only 1 course to golf but you can buy a few games if you want to try it twice. the arcade is decent and the place was clean. the people working there were polite and let you have your fun. the music is pretty good too. i'd recommend you try it at least once. i can't believe i didn't know about this place but upon finding out that a Startime complex in Norcross was closed, this was my next bet. i read other yelps and they seemed good so i checked it out. there is really no con about this place - other than there is only 1 course to use. if you wear light colored clothing you'll glow more. the decorations were good. go! i'll definitely come back in costumes or with my husband again real soon. read more

I don't really understand the high reviews for this place. The golf is very boring it's 18 holes crammed in a building that could fit maybe 6 regular mini golf holes. It is not inexpensive, I don't think it was worth the price at all really. If you love mini golf on a creepy level (not scary) just love mini golf too much maybe you could try this place on a rainy day. I personally would rather play at Mountasia in the rain than ever go here again. read more
