When she mentioned her insurance card she used and the lady that she had dealt with we were told that that woman was on maternity leave and didn't know her job fully...so now my girlfriend had no contacts and is walking around blind. We called yesterday and was told you could come in and get her prescription so we can order them online and they said we could do that we came in today and she denied being able to give us any medical records. I then stated that she can't deny giving us that and that if we had known it was not being covered he would've went elsewhere. Were telling us that we had to pay the fee before we could obtain any of the records. Then when I went back 10 minutes later with information about the Hyppa act she gave me as little information as need be the optometrist came out and also gotten a verbal altercation with me and I was not where I wanted to go with that I just went into try and get the contact information so that we can go elsewhere with people that knew what they were doing and with somewhere that would cover the insurance like we asked and like we were told. Even with a scheduled appointment, we waited over 45 minutes, and the front desk staff was rude and dismissive instead of apologetic. When we finally saw the doctor, the appointment felt rushed and careless. I did not feel confident in the results at all, and I left worried that my child's prescription might not even be correct. When I immediately asked to cancel the glasses order the same day, I was flatly refused with no clear explanation. What made this even worse was the complete lack of communication afterward. I called multiple times the same day and again the next day, but no one answered the phone or returned my calls. As a parent, being ignored when you are concerned about your child's vision is unacceptable. This experience caused a lot of unnecessary stress and anxiety. I trusted this clinic with my child's eye care and left feeling unheard, dismissed, and deeply disappointed. I would never return and strongly warn other parents to look elsewhere.

This office has all of the latest equipment and he was super patient through all my unsure answers (Dr. B: "Number 1, or Number 2?" Me: "um... could you do that again?"). After getting a new prescription and testing out some contacts, he sent me home with a bunch of trials that would tide me over until I could get the full year contacts ordered. They also have a great glasses selection - I could have picked out at least 6 different pairs that I would have been happy with! The front desk explained the insurance allowance and gave us a quote, but once a frame was chosen, multiple extra fees were suddenly added. The final price was nowhere near the allowance we were originally told. None of these additional costs were explained upfront, and the information given by the front desk was misleading. On top of that, my partner had a scheduled contact lens appointment, which was canceled only one hour before because the clinic suddenly claimed "training" was required--despite him already being a contact lens wearer. This requirement was never mentioned when the appointment was scheduled. Between the hidden fees, last-minute cancellation, and lack of clear communication, this experience was extremely frustrating and a total waste of time. I would not recommend this clinic to anyone expecting transparency or professionalism.

My wife and I visited this clinic before deciding where we would fill our eyeglass prescriptions. It was here or Costco. As it turned out, we went with MC Family Eye Center (MCFEC, this clinic). They were very professional and worked through my indecision with me. My wife knew what she wanted (Zeiss). Anyway, the staff and docs were great and we will be back. If either of us need a cheaper second pair of glasses as a back up, sure, we'll consider Costco again. However, Costco does not cold mount lenses. That's important to know if you bring your own frames. I'll be asking MCFEC if they do. If so, it's a one-stop shop with a lovely lobby and decent choices for frames. Five stars. ;)

This whole excessive threat has been quite an overwhelming experience for me personally. I highly encourage everyone to be cautious with their aggressive billing tactics and understand what you're getting yourself into. Or just avoid them and find another "family" oriented eye care professionals in the North Seattle area. Just a friendly warning from a very friendly patient.
