Remember when this place was good? Remember when the doc listened to you and didn't push Science Diet crap? Remember when they had good staff like Toni and the girls? Misdiagnosed my cat and had her on a rx for 6 months until she had a allergic reaction and her hair started falling out! I took her elsewhere and was told her condition was genetic and didn't need the rx at all! Would NEVER go back until there is a different vet here! If you think something isn't right, go with your gut instinct! read more

Breaks my heart the experience I've had with this clinic. I explained to the vet several times that my sweet boy was adopted out of a very abusive and neglectful environment leaving him timid and afraid. I understand how complicated this could be for a vet- but I also believe that Vets are trained for situations like this. However, it's the Vets choice to see whoever they choose. After spending hundreds of dollars we experienced terrible service during a visit and as a result I asked that the money I paid for the service (nail trim) be applied to another service (office visit) I will pay the remaining balance the Vet did not approve of that- so I asked for a full refund. At that time I still trusted the Vets and staff at this clinic- after a few weeks I called to get a refill on medication for my dog and was told that the Vet never wanted to see my dog again. Our boy isn't vicious has never bitten anyone- we had to teach him that it was okay to bark- he's just timid and I was okay if the vet was afraid so we would muzzle him at every visit because the Vet was afraid even though this dog has never shown any signs of aggression This was heartbreaking knowing this sweet dogs history- I was also pissed but again the vet can choose to see whoever they want. Am just here to share my experience and to say that I am ultimately glad this happened so that I can stop taking our dog to a place that never really wanted to service him and also give my money to a much better and qualified professional. The Vet also was not being truthful when he made a statement saying that I said the techs were abusing my dog Lol! If that were the case I wouldn't be just leaving a review. I trusted this Vet to service my dog and was highly disappointed. I will NEVER return with any animal. Thank God we have found someone who understands the nature and temperament of dogs who came from abuse and neglect. read more

I was highly disappointed after my visit this morning. I had called in to have a vet take a look at my dog's face since it looked like her folds were swollen. Amongst the visit, the doctor took one look at her face and told me it was infected. The same behavior occurred when he only put a q-tip into her ear without even testing it, in which I was charged $20 for. The doctor asked how I was cleaning her ears and I told him that I was following the directions from a previous doctor at the same location (putting drops in and massaging the ear until she shakes it out), and he responded that his solution would work better and that I need to do a d**n good job unless I want these problems to occur again. It made me feel like a bad pet owner, which I know is not true because I spoil her in every way possible. While waiting for the doctor to return, the vet tech noticed that I had previously been in for a dental so she asked me if I had been brushing her teeth since. I told her no, and she responded back with an attitude and indicated that she would be adding a dental kit onto my bill so she hopes she doesn't have to see me back for another dental (even though she only had one tooth pulled previously). When checking out for my visit (which was NOT an emergency) and I wasn't expecting to pay much, I was having to pay over $500... which is RIDICULOUS!!! I had to ask for an allergy shot to help prevent my dog from scratching and it was close to $100. I asked an employee at the front desk to go over each of the medications that they were giving me so I can keep everything straight (which was like 6 different things) and the same vet tech came up to the employee and said "You don't need to explain that to her, she can find out herself by reading this pamphlet". When calling back to tell them that I will not be returning, they were very short with me and did not give me a chance to explain why which shows me that they don't care. I want to work with a vet who cares about both the owner and the pet, and not be rude to either one of them while having decent prices. read more

I'm new to the area so I asked my neighbor who they use for a vet when my cat got sick. They recommended this vet so I tried them out. When I called to see if they could see my cat that day, the lady who answered was pretty harsh and unfriendly. It was not a good first impression. When I went in, I was met wjfh the same unfriendly front desk personnel. The nurse who took us back was ok but not very friendly either. The vet was very kind and I liked him, but the rest of the people in the clinic weren't nice so I don't plan to return to this clinic. I thought they were very overpriced and not friendly at all. I will try another vet in the area he next time I need one and I'd never recommend this clinic to a friend. read more

Recently my best friend and I needed to put her dog down, due to age and rapid decline in health. Normally they schedule these things on quiet days so there's no wait or disruptions. That was far from how it went. Not only did we have to wait in the lobby trying to hold it together but when we went back after she had been given the sedatives there was a vet assistant that barrelled in for a cat scale. And even after seeing what was happening without apologizing came in again to put it back. No this wasn't the only cat scale in the facility. The Vet had the audacity to ask, as if he was confirming we were jumping the gun, if she was 4 years old! She was 14 and it was obvious. No respect for the procedure, the family or the dog. I found the bill paper today in a drawer and it said neutered male. Please if you want a respectable way to send your pet to the rainbow bridge, do not take them here. I will never use them for anything ever again. read more

Dr Sing is awesome....he takes time to answer all of your questions and suggests the procedures he would do on his own pets....I request Dr Sing but other vets are great....I will never go anywhere else...they also have payment plans read more

I took a kitten in who needed to be x-rayed. When he was brought back they failed to mention that they had hurt him quite badly in what shouldve been a very simple vet visit. When I returned home he couldn't place any weight on his leg and was dragging it behind him and was clearly in a lot of pain. When I called to question them on this they already knew that they had hurt him and just didn't want to say anything. After a few minutes of me asking them what I can do for him they reluctantly said I could bring him back to be looked at. When I returned they were very rude and placed me in a room to wait for 20 minutes, only to take me out of that room and make me wait in the lobby for 20 more minutes and finally when they replaced me back into a room they acted annoyed at the situation and like it was a very common thing to hurt a kitten to this extent and have no remorse or concern as to what pain or to what extent he was hurt at. Would not recommend for people who want to place their animals into trustworthy and caring hands. read more

Everyone is friendly, and they take adequate care of animals. However, I don't care for the way options are presented. Dr Singh helpfully writes out every service and option along with its price, then rather than making his best educated suggestion on treatment (which is what I'm paying for), he gives it to me to decide which way to go. For example, my pet had a digestive problem. Dr S wrote out a list of every single test, medicine, and supplement that might be applicable to this condition, including a full blood panel with liver and kidney tests, fecal test, giardia test, antibiotics, long and short term steroid treatments, etcetera. I was left to just pick what I could afford, rather than hear his specific recommendation. I spent $150 that day and the treatment did not help. His whole suggested package of diagnostics and treatments would've cost over $500. I took my pet to another local veterinarian, and she immediately suggested the MOST LIKELY cause, and sent me home with two inexpensive medicines. Worked like a charm and only cost me $40. There was no "upsell" to every imaginable billable service. I won't be back to Monroe Veterinary again. I just think if a patient is paying for a professional opinion, it should be specific and accurate, not the most expensive shotgun approach to solving the problem. read more
