Located by the Patuxent River with a breathtaking view, Endeavor Point, is a ridden gem with campground, private beaches you can swim, a huge fishing pier, and cottages for rentals. From the moment you step onto the grounds of this place you feel your entire body relaxing. It is an amazing experience! I rented a cottage (Mermaid Folly) for the weekend. The place was very well furnished with a fully equipped kitchen, living and dining room furniture, very comfortable beds with soft linens, clean baths with soft towels. In general, the place was very clean, well decorated, and very functional. What I loved the most about the cottage was the balcony with a fantastic view, sitting outside under the tree close to the water, and listening to the waves breaking by the river shore. I also loved my walks in the mornings and afternoons by the breezy beaches and pier watching people fishing, the sunrising, and the sunset. I strongly recommend Endeavor Point if you want to just relax on a visit during the day, if you like camping overnight, or staying in a very comfortable cottage over the weekend.

We've had trails to wander, seen wildlife, and could even go crabbing, pots provided (both kinds, to catch and cook!). The park is serene and so beautiful with the estuary, river, beachy, and woodsy biomes to observe.

Whether from a economic standpoint and for the help it does for others. Now only the government is making the money because they are the only ones who are allowed to sell you the herb and then they have you in the system . The government allows these companies to functionson, so they get the profi. You can't buy seeds for your 4 plants you are allowed to grow. I didn't give it low stars because it really isn't their fault. Maybe next year the government with get off its heiney and get on with what was promised to the voters.

The people who worked there were very nice, but there was nothing great about the location. There are people who live there year round, people who come during certain seasons and people who rent a site year round and come when they want to, I'd never thought of that. The sites aren't paved, just rocks, which can be messy when it rains and when I went it was muddy from the rain. They have electric and water at each site which is good and a very little shop at check-in office. They quickly assigned us pull through hook up site A06. Our site and fire pit were super clean as were the bathroom facilities which even had a nice laundry room. The view from the visitor center is breathtaking and the surrounding trails well manicured. Fossils Beach was a high point with an easy hiking level. Our camp host in A1 was very friendly and cleaned every site as it was vacated. I'd highly recommend this State Park gem while visiting VA.

There are a plethora of camping sites and they even have cabins for renting. We saw a whole big picnic area with A LOT of tables and grills. There is so much to see and do and to learn, we look forward to going back for a more lengthy visit, but from what I cam tell this is a clean and well kept State Park.

Even from Fredericksburg it's a decent drive, and if you're coming from DC or Richmond the space is not especially notable (and I've reviewed plenty of alternatives). For my specific travel route, it made sense. The trails were, in no small part, gravel roads. It took me a little over half an hour to walk to the marsh, but there wasn't a boardwalk or anything really to do at the marsh. The most notable wildlife I found was a bevy of dragonflies. Whatever was in the water was not interested in hanging out with me, though I did spot a rather large turtle looking down at the estuarine Potomac. Some people were carrying up kayaks, and I definitely think there's some good activities to be done here.
