The cottage has thoughtful touches for example a styrofoam cooler and ice packs in the freezer for going to the beach. FYI the town of Colonial Beach charges daily rates for the parking ($10) but the house is just down the street, 2 minute walk. We will definitely stay at the cottage again if we end up back in the area.

Was greeted at door by our host who helped carry in a bag and showed us to our first floor room. The approx. 120 year old house is beautiful, clean and well maintained. The hosts Misunn and David took excellent care of us, breakfast was good and catered to food a allergy. A full kitchen with a common refrigerator, coffee, tea and other drinks are available 24 hours. The entertainment room, included in the room rate, had all kinds of arcade games, memorabilia, movies, vinyl records with record player, board games and much much more. We were invited to enjoy the whole house, pool and patio which is only two lots from waters edge if relaxing on beach is how you want to spend your time. There are usually events happening in area year round such as oyster, wine, beer, BBQ festivals so check the net. This area is also close to history items such as George Washington's birth place and many others. We plan on returning in future.
